Great stay

We had a great stay at this lovely house in Poughkeepsie. We wanted to be near Vassar and the house was very convenient. The house was clean and comfortable, and we had of plenty of space to spend time with family.

Great Family Vacation in Poughkeepsie

Cynthia is a super host! She responded immediately to our needs and I can't thank her enough for making our stay more pleasant. The house was spacious and comfortable for our large family of 8. The backyard was amazing we saw a family of deer every morning and the kids just loved it. We had a BBQ one Sunday afternoon during our stay inviting some friends and family that lived locally and it was perfect. The house is very old so there are squeaky stairs and doors that don't close easily or quietly, but that it part of the charm of the house. The window air conditioning units kept the house cool and comfortable even in the unprecedented heat wave that was going on when we arrived. We spent 9 days in the house and would absolutely stay again.

We had painted the doors twice in the home to keep the paint fresh, they have since been sanded where they meet the door jam to keep from sticking, thanks for the reminder!
