Quiet retreat for relaxing

We enjoyed the location—away from the crowds and still accessible. The bird life was fantastic. The wood stove provided warm atmosphere after a day of biking and hiking. We’ll definitely be back.

The attention to detail and the comfort provided made our experience truly enjoyable. The house was nice, nestled away up close to the mountains. Lots Crimson Rosellas and other birds about! Was great on our last day we had 15 King parrots on the balcony and they were even brave enough to eat parrot seed mix from our hands! Was our first time seeing them... So was very special to see them up so close.Great little place with a reasonably well equipped kitchen too.

Comfortable Cottage - Beautiful Views

The cottage is thoughtfully provisioned with wood for the fire, bathroom and kitchen essentials and more. The views are beautiful and birdlife plentiful. The cleanliness is very much appreciated and totally understand why slippers are requested to be worn indoors. The location is quiet but close enough to walk, down the hill to the river and into town along the Yarra Trail. Thank you for a lovely winter escape!

Honestly the most beautiful summer place to be!

Incredibly gorgeous spot within the heart of Warburton, up the hill where we’d hear kookaburras, cockatoos and Maggie’s every morning! Beautiful homely space with a warming atmosphere that made us feel so welcomed and so comfortable!! Extremely well presented and delightful home, very clean and equipped with everything we needed!! The speakers, bbq and even Netflix was such a lovely bonus!Stayed here with my partner, my younger sister and her friend as well. We thoroughly enjoyed the home cooking, eating outside, option to bbq and plenty of entertainment for the young ones who either opted for Netflix or scrapbooking, playing boardgames while we adults cooked:) The drive up was not too difficult and we recommend reversing into the driveway for easier access to leave. It is in a very quiet neighbourhood so we really appreciated this as we wanted a peaceful countryside getaway. Communication between us and the Stayz/Landlord has been so excellent!! And we really appreciate all the help in making our stay a comfortable and memorable time!!

Location, location, location... Up out of the valley / township and very near the aqueduct trail, this is our dream rental we were pleased to return to. That said, we were struck this time around by some things not done in readiness for our arrival, viz the BBQ grill was in need of a good clean, there was no kindling available for the fire and the fire place had not been cleaned out. Re amenities, the couch in front of the TV is well past its due by date, almost impossible to sit in for any length of time! In the pantry, both salt and pepper grinders were near empty. The electric blanket on the main bed didn't seem to work either. One morning was below zero. In sum, we love the house and location, and would probably return, but things seemed tired with some needed attention to detail (at over 200 per night) sadly missing in our experience.
