Perfect for our five-couple getaway!We had a wonderful stay at The Heavy Pour! The house comfortably fit our five couples, with five bedrooms and five bathrooms. Four bathrooms were en suite, while one was separate from the bedroom.There were great places to gather and visit, both inside and out, with plenty of comfortable seating for all ten of us. The large, furnished second-floor deck was another lovely spot to spend time together, and we really enjoyed the hot tub.The house was super clean, and the kitchen setup was amazing—stocked with just about anything you could imagine. The only thing we couldn’t find was the Keurig mentioned in the listing.The location was perfect—just outside Fredericksburg, convenient to town and the wineries, but quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. Check-in went smoothly, and communication with the host was good.We would most definitely stay here again. Five stars!

Anonymous, room for the whole family under one roof in the Hill Country is hard to come by, and we're glad the house delivered that for your group. When you're ready to come back, the swimming and the local wineries make for a full few days, and the house will be here waiting.

This home is amazing! We’ve stayed in at least twenty-five Vrbo’s. This was the best. Everything in the house was over the top, including huge wooden doors, massive bathrooms, and quality furniture and bedding. There were ten of us and it felt comfortable and not crowded. The outside is beautiful as well, with a great pool and hot tub. Can’t wait to go back.

Dorothy, everything needed and a beautiful Hill Country setting to go with it, that is exactly what we want people to find when they walk through the door. Glad the property delivered on both counts. Come back when the bluebonnets are up in the spring, the scenery around here takes on a whole different character and it is worth the drive out.

Anonymous, "ranks with the best" is exactly the bar we set for this house and it means a lot to hear it cleared. The Hill Country has no shortage of places to stay, so that comparison carries real weight. If you make it back out this way, the Pedernales in late spring is something else entirely, and the house sits close enough to make a morning down there part of your routine. Hope to see you again soon!

Amazing place

The house was very nice. We had an amazing time. The grounds are totally fenced in so you don’t have to worry about pets wondering off. The pool was great. House is in the country but is only a 10 minute drive to town.

Never wanted to leave!

It is such a beautiful home with all the things you could possibly need! Me and my girl friends thought it was the perfect place for a girls trip or a family trip! They had games, everything you could need in the kitchen, a nesspresso coffeemaker upstairs and more! We loved being out in the country but close enough to town and the view is incredible! We Will definitely be back again!

The place was amazing. And i would stay there again. I didnt like we had to check in at 4pm on the dot when we just asked to go in about 45 min early so we had to wait outside the gate. The only other thing is the propane was empty so could use the fire pit at night

Love the hill country

We had three generations staying at this beautiful house--ages 13-84. What worked so well for us was that each bedroom had its own bathroom. The pool is wonderful. The scenery is fascinating, one can walk or run on the roads nearby. It was easy to get to Fredericksburg and we did something different every day, coming back to swim and relax in the evening--Luckenbach, the history museum, Stonewall, Enchanted Rock, wineries and tubing. It was one of our best times ever. Thanks to VRBO and Cozi Rentals for making it so easy.

The Heavy Pour was an amazing house for our Girls Trip to Fredericksburg. First, we loved that it was not right on the highway. It was tucked away in a gated community with plenty if privacy. The house was extremely well built with great personal touches throughout. We were a group of 5 ladies with each having her own space. The bedrooms were very comfortable and spacious. The bathrooms had plenty of linens that were of good quality. We were all very impressed with the kitchen, as all but one of our meals were prepared at the house. The kitchen was equipped with plenty of glasses for wine and cocktails, nice sharp knives, plenty of kitchen gadgets and appliances. There was plenty of comfortable indoor and outdoor seating for all. The hottub and pool were absolutely beautiful and relaxing. Communication with the host was always very prompt. We have stayed at many rental houses and this one is by far the best. The Heavy Pour is just outside of downtown Fredericksburg. We would recommend this house for a girls trip, couples trip or family trip. We have already started talking about our return The Heavy Pour.

Beautiful house, well-appointed, clean and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. It is a bit far outside of town, but it makes it nice and quiet. We got a noise complaint one night from a singular outburst from one friend at the pool which seemed a little excessive. We weren't playing music or being rowdy. So note that they take quiet hours very seriously. Also, I got multiple notices on email and text, maybe overkill. Lastly, I tried to send questions through VRBO, but got no response. However, I received prompt responses through the text number that was sending me notices, so definitely use that tool for communicating. Overall we loved the house and our time in Fredericksburg. We would definitely do it again!

Great House - Bad Management

The house was great! We do a family trip every year for Spring Break and this house was perfect. Unfortunatly the communication with the the managers of this property was not good. Took a long time to respond to questions, and then did not provide accurate informaiton. Please note there is no Kerig on this property but there is a nice espresso machine. Also, the pool is not heated and even though there is a hottub attached it is not included as an ammenity. Overall, great property just bad management.

The house was very nice, perfect for 5 couples. Bedrooms were very spacious and with its own bathroom. The kitchen and living room open and roomy. Although we spent most of our time in the pool and had a great time, when we arrived it was dirty with lots of leaves and flowers. We had to clean pool before we got in but still enjoyed the pool. Overall, I totally recommend this property.

Rebecca, having a private bathroom for each couple makes a real difference when you are traveling as a group, and it sounds like the open living spaces and pool kept everyone together in the best way. The pool condition on arrival fell short, and that is noted for future stays. Groups looking for room to spread out will find this one delivers.

Perfect Family Getaway with Cousins

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Heavy Pour. The home is beautifully furnished, accommodating to two families with older children, and dog friendly. The views were fantastic, and we felt like we were out in the country while only a ten minute drive away from Fredericksburg. Having two primary suites made both sets of parents incredibly comfortable, and we were able to cook and share meals in the well equipped kitchen. The pool is so pretty, but without a heater on the spa, we didn't get in. Overall, we highly recommend the hospitality and comfort of this lovely Hill Country home.

Beautiful place in Fredericksburg

This is a very beautiful place. Immaculate condition. Very well decorated - and each of the bedrooms has its own charm. The kitchen is well stocked with plates, glasses, silverware, knives, cutting boards, etc. Very open and roomy. The front flower gardens are very pretty. The pool has a great layout. It is so quiet, the perfect place to chill. Highly recommend!
