Fun U of I Weekend

We enjoyed this beautiful and convenient vintage Victorian Home while attending the Illinois Hugh School Wrestling tournament. It is close proximity to State Farm Center and accommodated our group comfortably. We had a blast and would stay here again.

Funeral Family Gathering

We had such a wonderful time at this property during what was a whirlwind of an emotional time, since we gathered from around the country for our Patriarch's Celebration of Life. The house had wonderful "home" vibes for our grown family. We used the piano and front room for music and discussions and we enjoyed the gaming room. We appreciated the updated kitchen and bathrooms. Maryka was lovely to work with and helped us with scheduling issues.

Perfect charming Victorian wedding weekend!

We stayed here during our wedding weekend and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The front room made a beautiful bridal suite for getting ready and taking photos, full of charm and natural light. The home is very spacious, with a lovely kitchen and great A/C that kept us comfortable during peak summer heat.Maryka, our host, was incredibly kind and a great host. She left a wedding gift basket for us, complete with hand-painted “Mrs. and Mr.” glasses, allowed us a late checkout, and even went above and beyond to coordinate with us to retrieve a missing item we accidentally left behind. We’re grateful for such a special stay, it truly added to the magic of our wedding weekend. Thank you!

Working with Evolve as the "property manager" was difficult. Before we even got there I was charged an erroneous fee. I spent an enormous amount of time finding a way to contact a person to rectify this. Evolve seems to be run almost completely by AI and does not make it easy to find an email or phone number to work directly with a human.Once there, the door lock code did not work due to a mix up with the local property manager. Once I was able to contact her she was able to rectify quickly. However, this entire process took close to an hour. The home itself was adequate. It should be noted that iin order to access the upstairs bathroom, one needs to walk through two different bedrooms. The kitchen was well equipped. The living space could use more lamps to make it more livable. The home is on a main road so there is a lot of traffic noise.

Great house. Perfect for our needs. The bathroom situation was a little odd but we mad wit work. Both barrooms attached to a bedroom. But that is in the listing I just missed it. Overall great experience.
