I have been hosting since 2016, so you are in good hands during your stay - welcome to Champaign, we are excited for you to stay with us.

A few details about the space:

Charm abounds in this cozy 3 bedroom bungalow. With hardwood flooring throughout the home, original trim work, an adorable porch, fabulous built-ins and a Dutch door, this is truly your home away from home.

+ Off street driveway parking for up to 3 cars and ample street parking space for additional cars.

+ Sit back and relax! You will find the living room has comfortable couches and a 50” smart TV with streaming options and Roku included. For those looking to unplug there are also books and games for you to enjoy.

+ Fully stocked kitchen and formal dining room for 6, there are ample dishes and cooking utensils for those staying for an extended period of time. The kitchen appliances include: gas stove, coffee machine, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and freezer.

+ A gorgeous tree-lined street, my home has a porch sitting area for you to relax and enjoy the neighborhood. It also has a fenced in back yard with seating for 6 and lush greenery.

+ A separate office for those traveling for work or studying hard.

+ 3 Bedroom house made up of (1) Queen Bed (2) Queen Bed (3) 2x Full Beds; all decorated with modern, new furniture and focused on maximizing your comfort while traveling.

+ Pet friendly house with a big fenced-in yard.

+ Laundry: a washer and dryer are available in the basement and open for guest use the entirety of the stay.

+ This entire house is in the heart of Champaign, close to U of I campus, downtown Champaign, Illini Memorial Stadium, Carle Hospital, Urbana, Campustown, grocery shopping and much more, a perfect home for a professor, visiting students, traveling nurses, and more! Parties and events not allowed.

Historic Charm

Charming, historic, craftsman style home. I loved that the owners did not alter the original hardwood floors, trim & kitchen built-in cabinets. The creeking floors added to the nostalgic charm. Clean interior. Every bedside table had ports available for charging any electrics, that was a very nice convenience. The bathroom tub & shower could be updated to have a more fresh/clean appearance, but overall this home was a very nice place to stay & in a very nice, quiet neighborhood. We arrived late in the evening; it was nice to see 2 exterior lights on when we arrived. The only issues were a loose stair step (which the owner was quick to have repaired, same day we reported the problem), & the yard was not mowed. Grass & weeds were tall, so it was not inviting to lounge outside. We were busy this trip so we weren’t on the property for very long throughout the day, but it would have been nice to sit & enjoy being outside (viewing a nice yard) in the early morning or evening. To give the owner credit, once I notified him of the condition of the lawn, he mentioned that was supposed to be taken care of. He didn’t realize it wasn’t done. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay & would book this home again. It was charming, clean, perfect for our needs, reasonably priced & in a very nice, quiet, convenient location.

Great Home for Large Family

Review of Spacious Home with Shared DrivewayEMHelp fix this review. There is a character limit that I think I just hit with what I wrote. The only thing we found wrong with the place was the listing on this app had a small error, but I don't know if it was something that could be controlled...This home is very lovely and spacious. There is a small office with a couch off the the dinning area, and then another spacious living area with a few board games and puzzles. Each of the bedrooms have plugs and outlets that are easy to plug in phones. The checkout process is very very easy and their only request is to turn off the air or turn down the heat to 65 and lock the house up. We obviously did our best with making sure to load the dishwasher and not leave dirty dishes and to pile up towels and extra sheets used. But it was nice to not have to worry about following a specific checklist that you potentially miss. There are plenty of towels and extra sheets for the couch or air mattress (would need to bring one). The listing on VRBO had that the common area had a futon/pull out couch. It does not, but it does have a long couch and medium size larger love seat that is perfect for kids to sleep on. Plus there is plenty of room for an air mattress. I found this place on another popular house renting app after checking out and saw that app shows living room couches as another sleeping option, so VRBO may not have that as an option and this was his best option. Short girls weekend

This house had plenty of space for three middle-aged women meeting for a girls trip. All of the beds were very comfortable and each bedroom was spacious so everyone had their own privacy. It was a quick 5-10 minute drive to restaurants. We didn’t get out much because it was freezing the weekend we stayed,

Currently staying at this location and it is great my kids love it, neat, and clean.. host communicated and responded in a timely manner answering all my questions and concerns regarding my stay going above and beyond. neighbor's are sweet will definitely book again

Nice, comfortable & full of character

Overall we enjoyed staying here. The house was clean and had a lot of character. The street and neighborhood were nice. We had 10 people staying here and were comfortable. We did use the couch to sleep on and brought an air mattress (they do have one there but we brought our own). The owner was very responsive to messages, answering questions quickly and when we arrived there was a wire hanging in the outdoor area which he had someone come fix the next morning. The only thing I didn’t realize was that the ‘outdoor space’ was not accessible directly from the house and we had to go out a side door and walk down the driveway to an entrance. This was fine but I was just a little concerned as my 80 year old parents were with us and the walkway was very uneven and steps to get out of the home were steep. With 10 people we had planned on using this space but there were only 6 outdoor chairs and the grass had not been mowed and was very high which made it not ideal to use the yard area. Since it was graduation weekend the cost of the house was a lot higher than a normal weekend, so I would have expected it to be mowed so it was a more useable area, but overall it was not a big deal. We loved being able to have a space to celebrate my daughter’s graduation with our extended family and I would recommend this property to others.

A Terrible Experience

We rented this property for 8 days. We arrived to find that the property had not been cleaned between rentals. On day 3 a storm knocked out the power at this property. The property host knew the power was out but had no solution for us so we went to a hotel. The power stayed out the next day so we stayed again in a hotel and had to rent a second hotel room for family who were to stay with us. The power came back on late in the afternoon on day five. By that time we had already rented our hotel room for that day. We moved back to the rental property for the last three days. We were in frequent contact with the host who had nothing for us beyond he was sorry. We should have received a refund for 3 days. We paid for 8 days and only received 5. We paid over $800 in hotel bills. As two retired people in our seventies that expense was painful. We reached out several times to the host. He eventually stopped responding to us. We contacted VRBO four times over an eight day period. They then emailed us they would not assist with reimbursement. “the requested reimbursement is not available through the Book with Confidence program 
. losses related to events beyond the control of the host are not covered under the program.” You cannot “Book with Confidence” using VRBO. We will never use VRBO again. Prospective renters of this property should consider how unwilling this host was to make it right. Just a terrible experience.

Fabulous place!

This was a wonderful place to stay. Spacious, clean and just a wonderful space. We had an issue with hot water but the owner responded to our concern right away and it turned out a new unit needed to be installed which happened the next day. We were appreciative that he responded right away and tried to remedy the issue and he also compensated us because it. We’ll be back for sure! It was a great place to stay with a group.
