Welcome to Sweet Retreat, a beautifully restored craftsman-style home just minutes from Notre Dame, Eddy Street Commons, Memorial Hospital, and downtown South Bend. Whether you're visiting for a game, a family getaway, or a work trip, this charming home offers the perfect blend of comfort and convenience.



With two private bedrooms, each featuring a queen bed, plus a sleeper sofa in the living room, Sweet Retreat comfortably accommodates up to six guests. The home features 1.5 bathrooms, providing plenty of space for everyone to refresh and recharge. Hardwood floors run throughout the spacious living room and formal dining area, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere ideal for gatherings. The gourmet kitchen, complete with stunning stone countertops and a full stainless steel appliance package, makes cooking and dining a pleasure.



For those working remotely, the home is thoughtfully equipped with a standing desk and a walking treadmill, ensuring productivity and comfort. We had a wonderful stay at Pat and Gary's apartment in Pensacola. BEautiful view of the ocean! The apartment is beautiful and Pat and Gary are tremendous hosts (available, friendly, responsive). The location is excellent (walk to the beach, 3 minute drive to restaurants in town and about a 15 minute drive to downtown pensacola). We totally recommend it! and we hope that we will be back soon!

Overall this property is great. Great kitchen facilities with everything you need! Plenty spacious for a family. However, there were a few things that weren’t great. The front walk/porch wasn’t shoveled after the recent snowfall. It made for dangerous conditions getting into the property. Also, the mattress was the hardest mattress I’ve ever slept on. Truly uncomfortable.

Great little place with everything you'd need and extras to enjoy like games, a treadmill work station, laundry, etc. Advertised realistically. Good communication. Close to all the things. Safe neighborhood for walks. Quiet, too.

Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience.While check-in was smooth, the property itself felt old and had a strong musty odor. Throughout my stay, I repeatedly heard noises and footsteps coming from inside the walls, which led me to believe there may have been squirrels or another animal living in the structure.The most significant issue was the lack of Wi-Fi during the last two days of my stay. As a student, I rely on internet access for coursework and needed it to attend an online class. I contacted the host multiple times regarding the outage but received no response or assistance, nor was an alternative solution offered. Others in the area had WiFi and they tried to convince me it was a wide outage. In addition, there were visitors coming to the door in the evenings selling candy, which was disruptive and made the stay feel less private.Due to these unresolved issues, I ultimately checked out two nights early. The only compensation I received was a 30% refund of the remaining cost for the unavailable amenities, despite losing access to a key amenity and having multiple concerns go unaddressed.Worst of all, I left their house and have sick since which leaves me to believe it was not properly cleaned. Overall, the lack of responsiveness from the host and the unresolved issues significantly impacted my stay, and I would not choose to stay here again.

Good Choice in South Bend

Well equipped and nicely decorated home. Good location in a little neighborhood near Notre Dame. My husband and I stayed four nights and would recommend it to others.

Cute, clean, convenient

Host was very prompt and quick whenever we had a need. We were a group of 4 there for a 3 night stay to take in a Norte Dame game. The house was a perfect walking distance to campus and other activities.

Notre Dame Cozy Home

We traveled from San Francisco to move our daughter into Notre Dame. I stayed a week to help organize and outfit my daughter’s new apartment near campus. This property was the perfect home base! It is spotless, quiet, comfy and a quick drive or pleasant walk to campus. I hope to book it again for my next visit!

Great Stay

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect as shown in pictures!! It was so close to where we were going on campus and to surroundings to get supplies. Homeowners were in touch before and during stay. Great communication!! Beds were a little hard though and you parked on street. Backyard was great for the kids and we enjoyed being at home there!! It totally made our trip!! Thanks for an amazing stay!!!
