Home worked really well for our needs: 1) one story space with small children; 2) powerful A/C over a hot spell; 3) easy access to several different outdoor spaces making it easy to find shade most of day; 4) an abundance of outdoor play equipment, some of which entertained even small kids, and of course 5) a true half mile walk to the beach

It's great to hear the one-story layout was easy with small children and the outdoor spaces and play equipment gave everyone room to spread out and find shade throughout the day. The house is in a nice location, cute downtown and close to the Warren Dunes State Park which is dog friendly. It was also a nice neighborhood to walk the dog. We enjoyed our stay!

Perfect Location

The neighborhood is very beautiful. If you like to spend your time at the beach this place is for you. We loved Gordon Beach!

Excellent home, perfect space for family time. Close to multiple beaches, bakery, restaurants.

Loved that this dog-friendly home had dog leash & toys ready to go. Nicely equipped kitchen & bathrooms. Enjoyed morning walks on the several beaches within walking distance. We hope to return next year.

Very pet friendly home, dog treats provided as well as extra dog bowls. The three season room was great for watching football. Beds are comfy and perfect for recharging our mental batteries.

Old fashioned beach home with modern touches. Very dog friendly. We were glad we had our travel fan for use on the screened-in porch

The house was in a great location for places to eat and a pretty easy walk to the beach. It was a great amount of space for our family of 5 and the kids loved the outdoor space and big back yard. Our only issue was cleanliness. While we appreciated being about to bring our dog, we weren’t prepared for the amount of dog hair throughout the house. The rugs were covered in hair. Pots and pans were stored on a low, open shelf so everything I used had to be washed first due to dust and dog hair. After being home and doing laundry there is still hair stuck to our socks. Our dog doesn’t shed so we just aren’t used to that and I was concerned about my allergies while we were there. I think additional things could be done to just clean up the floors and rugs before guests come to stay.

We're so glad the location worked well for your family, with easy access to restaurants and the beach, and that the kids enjoyed the big backyard. We appreciate you sharing your concerns about cleanliness, especially the dog hair on the rugs and in the kitchen. We've addressed this directly with our cleaning company to make sure floors and rugs are thoroughly cleaned before every arrival, and we're rearranging the kitchen so pots and pans are no longer stored in the open. We want every guest to feel comfortable and at ease in the space, and this feedback is helping us make that happen.

Great getaway

Really enjoyed our stay here. The home is bright and spacious, from the front room to the kitchen and bedrooms.The king sized bed was super comfortable (bring a sleeping mask if you aren't an early riser) and the attached porch was a nice spot to have a nightcap. We enjoyed our stay so much, we added an additional night to our stay. Within walking distance to Union Social (great service, btw) and convenience stores, we'll definitely be back.

Dog and family friendly

We greatly enjoyed our stay in Union Pier. We often congregate with family in the area for a week in the summer but this was the first time we could bring our family dog. Even if it wasn't dog friendly, this house was great. Spacious family room, deck and screened in porch for hanging out, large backyard for playing games, ample parking and a well stocked kitchen. Owners also provided beach blankets, chairs, umbrellas etc making beach time super easy. There is a walk to the beach but its easy or you can drive and park.

Girls Birthday Weekend

Property was great. Excellent location. Very clean. Only issue we had in the house was the master bathroom hot water sink faucet did not work. Also, we had called Kelly on Saturday and left a message about wanting a late check-out but we never got a response from her. Likely to rent house again.

We had a great weekend getaway! This property has everything you could possibly need. Close proximity to the beach and lots of close markets and restaurants. We will definitely stay again our next trip to Union Pier!

Kelly was fantastic, who we had communication with and she cleans the property.location was the best thing about the property. Right when we arrived we realized the swing set in the photos was not there and we were excited for that for our kids. The beds are terrible and old, we ended up having to get mattress pads from Walmart (60 min round trip) and also sheets due to the extreme low quality. We had 7 guests and the water heater was too small to accommodate all of us showering in one night which is needed after a sandy beach day. Little upgrades would go a long way in this home.
