The "Glass House" was a wonderful and exceptionally comfortable place for our joint family stay while visiting relatives in Bethesda. We made good use of the spacious, very well-equipped kitchen --- it had everything we needed for family meals. A bonus was the great selection of children’s toys and books which helped to keep our grandchildren entertained. Nancy and Mark were outstanding hosts. They were easy to communicate with and flexible regarding our check-in and check-out times, making our travel logistics much smoother.We loved the house's style and all the thoughtful touches. We wouldn't hesitate to rent the Glass House again the next time we're in the Maryland area. Highly recommend!

Nature in the city

House was beautiful, location was great for us, amenities were top notch and more little things available than at any other vrbo we've stayed at before (ie spices, condiments, tupperware, etc), which I really appreciated! Communication was great and we would definitely stay again if in the area! We had an awesome time! Thanks!

Bethesda Beautp

This property was not only beautiful but just perfect for our family. Seven family members stayed, ages five months to 70 years old. There was something for everyone - great accommodations, plenty of room to spread out, lots of toys for the youngest, and all in a beautiful setting. We would highly recommend and would love to visit again. Many thanks to our gracious host, Nancy Gross.

Gorgeous stay near DC but in middle of nature

We loved being close to our daughter at AU and close to activities in DC but able to relax in this beautiful home and surrounding wooded hills.We were blessed by daffodils and other spring flowers and deer cam to visit in the yard each morning.So peaceful!Grateful!

Beautiful home, beautiful art, lots of stairs

Welcoming, beautifully appointed home in lovely neighborhood. Lots of space to gather or spend time alone, as one wishes. Great kitchen. The multiple levels produced stunning interior views, but the necessary stairs were a struggle for some of us.

We had a wonderful stay in Nancy and Mark’s house. Beautiful house in a lovely neighborhood. Every detail was perfect. Wonderful Retreat

Fantastic, well equipped home. Close - need car but easy - to all the major DC area attractions. But quiet and peaceful home and neighborhood. Owners communicated clearly and made the process a breeze.

Spring family visit to DC

Gorgeously decorated house with beautiful grounds and a view of the Potomac river (during the spring - might be obscured by leaves in summer). Very quiet neighborhood. About 10 minutes drive to the Bethesda metro station. Great for day trips into DC. Right near C&O canal trail for hiking/biking. Fully equipped spacious, modern kitchen and a large dining room. Easy to prepare meals and feed a family comfortably. While the entire house was lovely, a few very nice touches make it truly special. The ceiling above the living room has a multicolored artistic light installation and there is beautiful modern art throughout the living space. Additionally, windows cover the entire back of the house to bring the views into each room - you get majestic natural light and scenery from all areas of the house.

Perfect in Every Way

We had a perfect stay at this stunning home in Bethesda. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed for cooking family meals. Plenty of towels and linens, the bedrooms were perfect and such a great space for our family of seven to spread out and enjoy the home. Highly recommend this home and thanks to our gracious host for everything.

Incredible Home!

Nancy’s home was the perfect place for our extended family to stay for my daughter’s wedding in Bethesda. We had wonderful meals around the enormous dining room table. Great evenings around the fire place and morning coffee in the screened in porch. The beds were comfortable and there was enough space where 8 people didn’t feel they were on top of one another. Nancy was very kind and attentive. I highly recommend her home.

All the comforts of home!

A well-manicured home in a quiet, upscale neighborhood, this house has all the comforts you’d expect in your own home, plus more! Plenty of space for 7 of us to spread out and enjoy time together, or apart as needed. Downstairs rec room was perfect for the teens to get a way and enjoy tv, games, and working out. Ample supplies in a full sized and fully-stocked kitchen, plus a working grill on a beautiful patio. Not a great space for outdoor activity beyond some driveway basketball and back patio relaxing. Families with small children or mobility issues may find all the stairs and multi-level rooms a challenge. This is overall a GREAT home with responsive and attentive owners. Could not have been a better fit for our needs (7 people, ages 17-75)

Wonderful stay

The house is not only the most beautiful we’ve stayed in but also the most comfortable (its layout, furnishings, kitchen, surroundings). As I think someone else mentioned, it’s even lovelier than the photos show, and the kitchen is even more spacious. Nancy and Mark were quick to respond to emails and very helpful. We hope to return some day.

Graduation Celebration

Beautiful home! Came for son's graduation from medical fellowship. Plenty of room for family from DC area to come join us for meals and fun. Super clean! Every amenity you could ask for. Stunning architecture and art work. View is breathtaking! Quiet area and perfect location. Nancy was helpful and responsive. Wonderful time! Will book again.

Family Vacation

We designed and built this family home in 2004 and our son and daughter grew up here. With both kids out of the nest, Mark and Nancy are spending more time at their second home on the nearby Chesapeake Bay. We have enjoyed renting out our Bethesda home to families and business travelers, many whom come to DC for a family wedding, graduation, or to see the sights in the Nation's Capital. We will provide you with a comprehensive house manual, brochures and guides to the tourist spots, and how to find restaurants, grocery stores, public transportation and other necessities nearby. We do our best to provide everything you might need while away from home, including a fully stocked kitchen, reading lamps at every bed, all paper goods, sheets, towels, etc.

Our contemporary home is probably the most unique place you will ever stay. We have been renting out this home for short to medium length stays for 10 years. Located at the end of a cul de sac, the back of the house is floor to ceiling windows overlooking woods, and when the leaves our down, a view of the Potomac river. We find the abundance of natural light and closeness to nature soothing in a busy metropolitan area. We have large open spaces to spend time together, but also private spots for quiet time. Our dining table can seat ten, with room to spare for a folding table and chairs if you have guests over for dinner. The back yard and patio is peaceful and a great place to spend time relaxing. The gas grill is always ready to go (no tank required) and the screened porch with a ceiling fan and fireplace allows three season outdoor dining. We love our green oasis, but also appreciate being a 5 minute hop to be on the highway or in downtown Bethesda, or 20 minutes to downtown DC. If you have business at NIH, Marriott, or in the tech corridor on I-270, you can reach any of those spots in minutes. We built our home to stay in this fantastic school district, enjoy living on a dead end street, and to have the open space to entertain our friends, which we love to do and do often! We hope you enjoy our home as much as we do.
