Great Location

This was the perfect spot for our family to go skiing. We will stay again. We read all the past reviews and they were accurate. Nicely furnished, great deck and room for all of us. Love having the 3 bathrooms and the room with bunk beds, besides the rooms shown in the pictures. Beautiful view was a bonus!

Just Amazing

I really cannot express how wonderful our stay at this property was. It was a perfect place for our extended family. The house was spotless and just amazing. Lisa was totally supportive and available although we didn't have any problems. My only wish was that the house was smaller so my wife and I could come back alone. Jut amazing.

This house was beyond expectations- absolutely beautifully decorated, clean, an abundance of necessities (towels, laundry soap, kitchen supplies), and in an AWESOME location. Lisa, the property manager, made sure all of our needs were met and was very easy to get a hold of and communicate with, if needed. Would 10/10 recommend! We hope to be able to visit this beautiful, mountain home again.

Beautiful Property

Location, location, location! This was a beautiful place. It was large enough for our whole family to enjoy the time together. The property manager was great. We had everything we needed. The house was fully equipped and 100% accurate to the listing.

Perfect for Monarch Ski Trip

Cozy home with gorgeous views. Convenient drive to Monarch Mountain as well aa into the downtown part of Salida. All the cooking accessories we needed-and more-were provided, along with various condiments, spices, cooking oils. The only thing we were surprised by was how close a couple of the neighboring homes were. From the pictures, the home looks very remote; however, you are close to a main road with a few homes very close by. These factors did not obscure the view or give us any issues, but it’s worth mentioning. We loved our stay and are considering making it a yearly family trip!

Great stay

Had a great time staying at the property. Beautiful location in fall. Kids loved the bunk beds. Close to Mount Princeton Hot Springs for a nice day trip. Property had everything we needed for a family dinner!

Great Stay

We loved our stay! The home was beautiful, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was stocked. I brought some of my own pans to make risotto and ended up not needing any of them. We were travelling with 2 infants. All of the rooms had plenty of space for travel bassinets. We would definitely come back.

This home is owned by Firehouse Vacation Properties LLC and Thomas/Tommie Hixson and Brian/Laura Cudaback. Brian and Thomas recently retired from the fire service where each spent over 30 years. The Cudaback’s and Hixson’s have skied at Monarch Mountain for over 25 years before becoming homeowners just minutes from the mountain. We are passionate about providing a comfortable living space where families can compile as many memories as we have in and around Salida.

We are still amazed at the beauty as we sit on the large patio and look toward the west. The sunsets are unmatched by anywhere in the world. ATV/hiking trails and within walking distance from the front door.
