Best view in Venice !

Perfect location, private, water views on two sides of apartment, coffee and filters!!!! 🙂 Clean, comfortable, and one of the nicest spots especially for the price! Cristina was a charm!

Best place to stay in Venice

Thank you Cristina for everything. Your place was just perfect. What a view. Location was great, away from all the crowds, but yet a short walk and you are right in the middle of everything. Vaporetto right at your door. Market around the corner. Loved it all.

What a super exceptionally well equipped apartment. We enjoyed the quieter atmosphere of this area of Venice and the short walk to St Mark's was enjoyable. Cristina was on hand should we have needed anything and it was lovely to be met at the vaporetto stop and shown around the apartment by such a warm and vivacious lady. A wonderful trip! Thank you.

Perfect quiet spot in Venice

My husband and I recently stayed there with our four year old son and found it to be well quipped, clean, airy, and close to everything. We were in Venice for two weeks and found it quite easy to walk everywhere from this condo with our son, who also walked. The hostess, Cristina was lovely and had tons of tourist information for us and some basic food essentials for us, which was greatly appreciated since we arrived on a Sunday with a child. The condo is a perfect spot for a vacation since you are just a few feet from the vaporetto stop, have beautiful views of the water, can easily walk everywhere, and you are in a quiet neighborhood rather than the overcrowded tourist areas. We would highly recommend this location for other families or couples traveling to Venice.

A PERFECT STAY

We were punctually and friendly welcomed by Cristina (owner); clean, very comfortable apartment with great views of the bay facing Murano/Burano from the multiple large windows off the kitchen/living room and great sunsets and sunrises too. A short 10-15 easy walk to Piazza San Marco; quite residential area away from the noisy tourist areas. Apartment is a 1 min walk from a vaporetto station. There is a supermarket close-by (~ 5 min walk). We had a very relaxing 5 days in Venice and would happily return to this place - this is ultimately the proof of a good rating. The security deposit was promptly paid back by the owner on check-out.

Nice location with water view!

Cristina was very hospitable and greeted us at the Vaporetto stop just steps from the apartment. The welcome basket was a nice touch and much appreciated. Her restaurant recommendations were spot on. We especially enjoyed the local pizzeria. The apartment was conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood yet within 15 minutes walk to St. Mark's Square.​ It was great to be walking distance from the Grand Canal but also to have the sanctuary of returning to a quiet spot to sleep. Plenty of space throughout the apartment. We were very pleased with the water view and the ocean breeze. It was clean and as described. We appreciated the extra towels, blankets, and pillows. We look forward to another visit. Thank you. N​ote: Bed is a bit on the firm side.​

A Wonderful Apartment & Location

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment in the Castello district of Venice. It is away from the popular and very crowded areas such as Rialto and San Marco, but they can be reached within a 10-15 minute walk and walking is what Venice is all about. We felt that we were able to immerse ourselves into one aspect of Venetian life. The apartment is a one floor walk-up and the vaporetto (Celestia) stops just outside the building. The one bedroom apartment is clean, well-stocked (includes a washer which we used), good-sized fridge, gas stovetop, as well as bright and airy. We selected this place for our 2 week stay based on the views (and reviews) and they did not disappoint. There are beautiful views of Cimitero and Murano, and when not hazy, incredible views of the Dolomites. The weather was great so we were able to open the windows and enjoy the spring-like breezes from the laguna as well as the sound of the passing boats. We also experienced some incredible sunrises and sunsets. There are 2 grocery stores (Coop and Punto) nearby but we mainly enjoyed short walks to nearby bakeries, cafes for coffee and spritz (prosecco and aperol--local drink), outdoor markets carrying regional produce, butcher, and fresh pasta shop. There are also great restaurants nearby such as Strega for pizza, Osteria alla Staffa (very small so make reservations), and for fine dining try 6234 a le Tole (2 locations nearby) and Jonny's. Our hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful. They even provided juice, milk, bottled water and breakfast items for us. My husband and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

WONDERFUL WATERFRONT APARTMENT

Let me start by saying this is my first experience booking accommodations this way, so I was a little worried. Having read the previous reviews made me feel a little better. I was looking for a place to stay in Venice, away from the crowds and most importantly with a water view. The apartment is exactly as pictured, although it was larger than I imagined. Located on the 2nd floor, this apartment was bright and sunny, and immaculately clean! It's a perfect location with a vaporetto (waterbus) stop right in front of the building, and within walking distance to St. Marco. My husband and I set out on a walk and before we realized it we were in St. Marco! There is a supermarket called COOP one stop over in Ospedale right on the waterfront so you can't miss it ( just go left when you get off the vaporetto). Cristina was wonderful and the apartment had been stocked with some breakfast items, which was very nice. After a long day of sightseeing, this was such a welcome retreat. You can just sit and listen to the sound of the water... So if you would like to walk and get to know Venice it's perfect or if you prefer you can just hop on to the vaporetto and go anywhere you like and enjoy the water views while you do it. We bought the public transport cards right at Fondamente Nove ticket booth, before we got on the waterbus to the apartment. It was great, you can go anywhere with it including Murano and the other islands. My favorite was Burano, with it's brightly colored houses. The waterbuses run on schedule. I highly recommend this apartment which is perfectly located, totally equipped and spotlessly clean! Thank you Cristina for everything!

perfect in every way

Cristina's apartment was the perfect holiday rental for our young family. It would take a long time to list the advantages but in brief: The view enhanced our holiday by a factor of 10. It really matters. If you stay in Venice you need to see boats and water every morning. At this apartment, you're located right next to the historic arsenal walls and you can see the island of Murano. Its fabulous. Secondly, the apartment is well equipped and very clean. Everything we needed was there. The sofabed is well made and comfortable and our girls were happy in single beds in the bedroom. Air con is perfect and wifi too. Cooking facilities are good. Thirdly, it is 10 mins walk from all the key sites around San Marco Square. It has got a vaporetto station right outside! You can get a boat pass and spend all day easily visiting lido and the other islands. But even though it is in an excellent position, it is not over run by tourists. It retains the feeling of a local neighbourhood. The local shops are lovely and you can really feel the real venice here. We walked all over the city in our 6 day break and every evening it was a pleasure to return to our apartment. The area felt safe. Christina was the perfect host and communication was excellent via 'whats app' and emails. She made our holiday better! Finally... let me say that we considered other apartments that were cheaper, but we would not have had as good a holiday if we had taken that option. It makes sense to pay a little bit more and get a fantastic location and a good apartment. We will try and return very soon. Thanks Cristina. We miss it already and we are recommending it to friends. Thanks again.

Limpio, cómodo y con magníficas vistas!

Muy recomendable! Cristina te recibe con calidez y amabilidad, el apartamento es amplio, está especialmente limpio, encuentras todo lo que necesitas, con una parada de vaporetto justo enfrente que te lleva a cualquier punto de Venecia, y unas vistas increíbles! Perfecto.

Exactly as described

While the weather was not the greatest, the stay was wonderful. The apartment is in a residential area, away from the tourist traps but close to grocery stores and enotecas, pasticcerias and ristorantes that locals also visit. It is literally just steps away from the 4.1, 4.2, 5.1 and 5.2 vaporettis. The stop is called "Celestia". It is just a 10-15 minute walk to San Marco and the Rialto Bridge and the madness that is tourism in Venice when the cruise ships stop. Try to go there before 10 a.m. or after 4 p.m. on cruise ship days. An excellent tavern/restaurant near the apartment is trattoria da Jonny. I would definitely recommend this apartment.

Ein wunderbarer Ausblick

Die Wohnung ist direkt an der Vaporetto Haltestelle Celestia gelegen und man kann sie ohne großen Aufwand erreichen. Ich war schon in einigen Privatunterkünften, aber dieses Apartment hatte mit Abstand die beste Ausstattung und war super sauber. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin war vorbildlich und sie hat uns wie versprochen an der Wohnung empfangen. Überhaupt waren sie und ihr Ehemann sehr herzlich! Ich komme gerne wieder.

Clean, quiet, and peaceful - A great stay!

Cristina's apartment is meticulously clean and steps from a vaporetto stop, which makes it convenient for anywhere you want to go in Venice, although if it is San Marco you want to reach, be prepared for a rather long vaporetto ride (we usually walked the 15 minutes). The neighborhood is quiet - a nice reprieve from the crowds we encountered in the San Marco area. We were there in August - hot outside during the day, but the morning sunrises were beautiful, and the morning breezes coming in from the lagoon were spectacular! We loved waking up and watching the boats in the lagoon. Cristina's apartment has air conditioning, which was a godsend for August afternoons and eves. Another plus is the washing machine, which was great for travelers such as ourselves, coming in from a long trip elsewhere. The fridge was clean, and had the essentials - there is a coffee pot and supplies for coffee (a plus!), fresh juice and milk, and a welcome tray of cookies, etc. The bed was comfy. We found the bathroom quite satisfactory, with bath essentials gratis, too. The only problem we had was in communicating with Cristina - she is a great, responsive host, but we did not have any way to communicate with her other than Wi-Fi, as we had our USA data plan turned off. Never having been to Venice, we didn't quite understand the vaporetto system, and had also assumed that when we were getting on the first vaporetto, there would be a way to communicate with Cristina - alas, there was not, and we missed our first connection with her. We also didn't understand that the addressing system in Venice, which goes by neighborhood rather than street. This is just a heads-up for USA travelers who rely on Wi-Fi (or don't read enough about Venice addresses beforehand) - be forewarned! All in all, though, we had a relaxing, rejuvenating time in Cristina's apartment

Super clean, great host, and great location!

Cristina is a fabulous host. Her property is meticulously clean and well stocked with all items you need for a pleasant stay. Located just off a vapporetto stop, it offers easy access by the water taxis to all the key tourist destinations. The apartment has a living room/kitchen combination, small bathroom, and separate bedroom. Plenty of space for two people. The apartment even has air conditioning. As Venezia is situated on a lagoon, and this apartment is literally at the waters edge, if you choose to have the windows open, please note the following: at lower tides you will experience the smell of of the lagoon, the mosquitoes will be plentiful (Be sure to use the screens on the windows at all times), you will hear the sound of boats, water taxis, and vaporettos plying the waters at all hours of the night. (Otherwise, simply close the double pane windows to minimize the noise and odors coming from the lagoon.) The apartment is an easy 15 minute walk to the Plaza di San Marco. Overall we appreciated what the apartment had to offer and the service from our host.

Dear Scott thank you for the kind words towards me I just wanted to clarify that the odors of the Lagoon, is a characteristic of Venice due to its algae and to the flow of the tide For us Venetians, the Lagoon is the symbol of Venice During the night the vaporetto service is suspended from 10.30 pm until 6.30 am So during the night there are not many disturbing noises regarding mosquitos (which are present at a certain time of the year), all windows are fitted with mosquito nets Thanks, hope to see you again soon

Almost perfect

Absolutely perfect location: steps away from a vaporetto stop, which links to everywhere in the lagoon. Absolutely quiet, almost all the time -- the building has families, but none is loud and rarely any sounds after 10pm. Absolutely a Venezian neighborhood, with few tourists (and we were the rare Americans; most shopowners and restaurant staff thought we were German). Not good: small bathroom, which is European, but tiniest shower we've ever encountered. It's an old building, of course (this is Venice...). And architectural considerations made it unavoidable, but you need to be prepared fgr it. Other than that, apartment had a sizeable refrigerator, comfy couch in living room/kitchen setting, firm bed, roomy bedroom. Stayed eight days. Would stay again.

Venice apartment with mountain views

This apartment is excellent in many ways. The owner, Cristina, is very friendly and welcoming and ,at the same time, a good business person. It is a corner apartment on the first floor in a quiet building and neighborhood. It spacious, nicely decorated and impeccably clean. The kitchen has everything needed to cook meals or just enjoy take-out food. The bed is very comfortable and may be separated into two beds. Arrival from Marco Polo airport is a short water ferry ride. However, it is then necessary to use the vaporetto to travel one more stop. It is also possible to walk. There is only one negative which may or may not be such for everyone. The neighborhood is quiet because it is totally residential. No shops, supermarkets, restaurants are nearby. It is a 5 to 8-10 minute walk to access these services. Then another 10 minutes to the San Marco area. This is by far one of the best VRBO apartments I have stayed at.

Venise en hiver

L'appartement est très bien équipé , rien ne manque . Vous pouvez cuisiner ( il y a tout ce qu'il faut ), regarder la télévision dans votre langue , écouter de la musique , bref vivre un séjour dans de très bonnes conditions . De plus Cristina est une personne qui sait recevoir , il y avait de quoi faire des pâtes à la tomate en arrivant si on le souhaitait, faire un petit déjeuner complet avec le panettone le lendemain matin et cerise sur le gâteau une bouteille de prosecco au frais pour le Capodanno . L' appartement est très clair , la vue sur Murano est superbe et n'oublions pas l'arrêt du vaporetto devant la maison . Tous les différents quartiers sont facilement accessibles à pied en peu de temps . La zone proche de l'appartement est très tranquille peut-être un peu trop triste le soir en hiver . Merci Cristina pour tous les renseignements matériels que vous nous avez donnés , nous avons passé un très bon séjour Ginette et Patrick

Séjour de très grande qualité

Nos deux hôtes ont été charmants et investis. ils ont même pris de nos nouvelles pendant l'épisode plutôt amusant de l'acqua alta. Grâce à eux nous avons passé une semaine des plus agréables. L'appartement est idéalement situé car il domine le fleuve et la vue est superbe. L'arrêt du vaporretto Célestia est pratique et permet de rejoindre rapidement la place Saint-Marc.L'intérieur de l'appartement est impeccable et rien ne manque pour un séjour de courte (voire de longue durée). L'environnement est calme, bref nous vous recommandons chaudement cet appartement et rencontrer ce couple de Vénitiens a été un réel plaisir. Merci encore. Our two hosts were charming and invested. they even took our news during the rather amusing episode of acqua alta. Thanks to them we spent a most enjoyable week. The apartment is ideally located because it overlooks the river and the view is superb. Stopping the vaporretto Celestia is convenient and allows to quickly reach the place Saint-Marc.The interior of the apartment is impeccable and nothing is missing for a short stay (or long term). The environment is calm, in short we warmly recommend this apartment and meet this couple of Venetians was a real pleasure. Thanks again.

Great view of lagoon. Peaceful.

Christina welcomed at the boat stop even though the apartment was in front of the stop! She explained to me how everything worked. It was very clean and very equipped. The view of lagoon was incredible. It’s fun to watch those boats came and went. The apartment located in out of crowded area yet 10, 15 minutes of walk to the major attractions. It’s comfort to come back from tourists area where it was very crowded. I was so glad to choose this apartment. Thanks Cristina!

The apartment is perfect!

What a great place to stay!! This apartment is super cute and in a great location! There is a water taxi stop right outside the door and you can walk to any place in Venice very quickly. Cristina was so very helpful with any questions we had about getting around and her personality is super cute and bubbly! We would definitely recommend staying here if you are going to be visiting Venice!

Outstanding Apartment!

This apartment is an absolute gem! The layout, size and space are fantastic, the decor is beautiful, and it is easily the best equipped apartment I have ever rented. Every single thing you could possibly want has been thought of and provided! The views over the lagoon are gorgeous, the sunrises and sunsets that you will see from the main living room window are just breathtaking. The location of this apartment is incredible too. If you have ever stayed in Venice before you will already know how tricky it can be getting suitcases on and off busy vaporettos and along the streets while you try to find your apartment. This one is located right at the vaporetto stop, on a not so busy line, which is hugely beneficial. The vaporetto lines that run through here get you to Murano and Burano quickly, get you to Lido in 3 stops and also get you to St Marks quickly, so transport-wise the location is also ideal. It is wonderful to stay in a residential area that is far from the throngs of tourists and the pickpockets they attract. The neighborhood has some really fabulous restaurants and bars, is close to supermarkets, outdoor markets and shops. It is also only a 10 minute walk to St Marks, so although you are away from it all you’re not too far away from it all! Cristina is wonderful too. She was fantastic to work with during the booking process. I had many questions and my booking changed a couple of times, but she didn’t complain and was incredibly helpful. She was waiting for us at the vaporetto when we arrived and was absolutely delightful! It was a joy having her show us her lovely apartment. She also was incredibly helpful when I had to figure out complex early morning trips to the train station and onward to Milan to get flights home. Cristina thank you so much for making this such an incredible trip and for renting us your beautiful apartment! I was so sad to leave and cannot wait to come back. Your apartment is really lovely, and I am feel so lucky to have met you!
