The location was ideal - dozens of resraurants and shops very close by, and a subway stop at the bottom of the hill 300 yards away on Paralell. Our host was very responsive to questions both before and during our stay, and seems to be a genuinely good guy. Perfect apartment for a vacation in Barcelona!

Fabulous location

Our contact was extremely helpful and lovely to work with. The location was amazing; we could not have picked better if we had known what we were doing when we picked. The apartment was well put together, but has been abused (I assume by renters/visitors) and needs some love.

Lovely big space in great neighbourhood

We loved our time in Barcelona at Anil's place. The local neighbourhood was great, with a bakery for breakfast and a local street with restaurants and patios. Then it's a very short walk to the subway and not far at all from the port and the Gothic Quarter. The apartment is not fancy but it felt comfortable and roomy. We would definitely come back and hope to soon!

The property was spacious and had lots of room for our family. Our host was kind and gave good information to us. We arrived late so his congeniality was extra appreciated. The location is excellent for this property: an easy walk to Paral-lel station which connects you to everywhere you need to go. The place is average and pretty basic, but if location is your main thing (like it was for us), then it suits just fine. The price is right.

Was not the place in the photo.

It was not the place in the photo we booked/confirmation email. No windows to open. Only 2 doors and one did not lock. We immediately reached out to vrbo via chat and explained and sent photos. Also explained we DID NOT FEEL SAFE. We were denied help from vrbo so took a cab to a hotel. WE DID NOT STAY AT THAT LOCATION AND ARE SURPRISED IT IS EVEN CONSIDERED SUITABLE BY VRBO.

Barcelona

Positives: good location and the owner is responsive. Negatives: all chairs were in disrepair or simply dirty and inadequate.Overall felt dirty and damp.Ants, as in the insect, was a constant problem. Towels were like sand paper.Back patio area was not inviting at all.Bathroom had no towel bars and the shower head was broken.Television reception was very inconsistent and it is not a smart TV so you cannot access any subscriptions.

Canadian Visitor

The location is excellent for your stays, it is convenient to get to all major attractions, e.g. Gothic area, beaches with a average of 2.5km walk. The host was VERY accommodating, meeting us even early than check in. People who leave such negative reviews, please give yourself a reality check. Yes the furnishings and location is modest. Why are you visiting, to stay indoors? The place is very functional and a reasonable cost. You can always pay many more Euro if you want "high class". Guess what you get likely get NO kitchen, no stove, and you get to buy all your food and pay even more. Your choice. The owner is extremely accommodating. I would definitely stay if I visit again. Thank you host.

Logement vétuste et bruyant

Ce logement semble être un ancien magasin transformé et n'est pas du tout lumineux, plutôt vétuste et sale. Le local est aveugle donc très sombre avec très peu de lumière naturelle malgré des photos semblant lumineuses. L'isolation phonique y est catastrophique et chaque fois qu'un voisin tire une chasse d'eau ou prend de l'eau, vous entendez absolument tout au niveau des canalisations. La personne qui dort dans le canapé inconfortable du salon, aura également droit aux bruits de la rue et autres nuisances. Entre le vacarme des voisins rentrant dans l'immeuble en laissant claquer la porte après avoir longtemps sonné à l'interphone, les passants qui profitent de la façade pour se poser, discuter ou encore fumer et le tapage de la circulation des véhicules, des camions de livraison ou poubelle tard dans la nuit. Niveau propreté, ce n'est pas bon. On peut citer l'état de saleté du four, des couverts mais également du rideau de douche (fixé avec du câble), des sols et même des murs sales et ayant des tâches d'humidité, etc. A noter également, un aménagement réalisé visiblement avec principalement des meubles de récupération en très mauvais états voire cassés et en nombre insuffisant pour 5 personnes. Quant au patio, celui-ci, en plus d'être sale, est encombré de de linges tombés des séchoirs des balcons supérieurs. Dommage car l'emplacement reste très bien à proximité du métro et de commerces. De même que l'accueil et la communication avec notre hôte furent très bon et agréables
