The villa has been restored in the typical style of the Garfagnana area (using the original construction materials: terracotta, wood, stone) and furnished with ancient furniture according to the local tradition. The location on an altitude of approximately 550m, grants a not too warm climate in the summertime (the temperature during the night is almost alsways not higher then 18C°. The property is an excellent destination for a relaxing holiday and visit the Garfagnana area with it charming villages, great scenic drives, walking-hiking (we suggest in the Orecchiella Natural Park) and other outdoor activities. It’s at the same time a good starting point to visit Pisa, Lucca and for a day at sea (the Versilia Riviera is 60 kms away). The main nearby town is Castelnuovo di Garfagnana (at 9 kms) and has many restaurants, cafes, bars, shops, supermarkets and weekly open market on Thursday. The villa has a 9x5 meter pool for your private use (the pool area is fenced). There are two covered terraces on the 1st and 2nd floor of the building, from where you can enjoy the beautiful views on the surrounding mountains. There are in total 3 bedrooms (one on the ground floor and two on the second floor), for a total of 8 bed places. Baby cot and highchair available on demand. The main kitchen and the dining room are on the 1st floor of the building. There is also a small cooking corner on the ground floor. Of course, we suggest to eat on the porch and enjoy of the beautiful panoramic views. Grocery store and restaurant are available in the village of Villa Collemandina, 3 kms from the villa. More shops and restaurants are available in Castiglione di Garfagnana (4 kms far away) en Castelnuovo di Garfagnana (12 kms). Here is also big supermarket (open every day from 8:30 to 20:30 and on Sunday from 9 to 20) near Gallicano (21 kms from the villa). The golf course of Golf Club Garfagnana is 12 km far away. Tennis lane and horse riding at 3 kms. Suggested restaurants: Osteria Bonini - Castelnuovo Garfagnana, Ristorante Il Pozzo - Pieve Fosciana, Ristorante Il Casone - Casone di Profecchia, Ristorante da Sandra - Fabbriche di Vallico, Pizzeria Il Castello - Castiglione Garfagnana Tennis lane at 3km.
