Great stay

We really enjoyed our stay at the Quinta Magnolia. Place was great for everyone (kids and adults). We also enjoyed the area, the weather, the beach, nearby cities and attractions and the Algarve region in general. Real vacation for everyone.

La maison du paradis

Nous étions 16:8 adultes,3ados,5 enfants de 7à11 ans.3 générations. La maison se prête parfaitement à ce genre de réunion familiale :espace,confort,le paradis pour les enfants et ados,le terrain de volley pour notre famille de volleyeurs….. Beautiful location and fantastic house.

We were a group of 14 people. The communication with Paulo prior to the holiday was very pleasant. Upon arrival, he showed us the villa, and everything looked very neat. We had the pool heated, making it a comfortable temperature. Inside and outside the house, there are plenty of facilities to keep you entertained (trampoline, pool table, foosball, gym, etc.). This house is an absolute recommendation! Paulo, thank you for your hospitality.

Great location and a beautiful view

Brilliant stay with extended family. Great location with beautiful Alvor beach coves within 15 mins drive and great restaurants on the beach. Definitely worth paying extra for pool heating - this made it much more pleasant for us all

Perfect stay in perfect villa!

Beautiful house, situated in a perfect, wellkept garden with a big pool and playfield. At the horizon you can see the ocean. Lots of privacy, good beds en nice sleeping chambers. Very quiet at night. Perfect place for a large group or in our case an entire family (14 persons). Very nearby beautiful beaches and Lagos with lots of restaurants. Very friendly and helpful owner constant available for questions. We had a perfect week at Magnolia!

Met kinderen uitstekende verblijft.

Wij hebben met 14 personen (8 volwassenen en 6 kleinkinderen ) van de prachtige omgeving/ locatie/ voorzieningen en het mooie weer genoten. Op de side Vrbo film en foto’s ziet het huis er mooi en luxe uit, en bij aankomst wat gedateerd! Veel mieren aanwezig. Het was wennen, geen toiletpapier papier te gebruiken bij een grote boodschap. In de verte veel honden geblaft, maar niet storen. Vanaf het huis moet je via een onverharde weg/pad naar de openbare weg, waarbij een auto wel noodzakelijk is. Het huis had alles wat nodig was. Voor de kinderen was buiten een grote speeltuin waar zij genoten van ‘t zwembad, trampoline, badminton veld etc. De extra kosten verwarming zwembad vonden wij te prijzig, maar was heerlijk op temperatuur, vooral voor de kinderen. De omgeving, plaatsen Lagos etc en stranden/baaien waren leuk vertoeven. De communicatie en hulpvaardigheid met Paulo was uitstekend, hierbij onze dank voor zijn behulpzaamheid en zorgzaamheid. Amazing place for big group

Quinta Magnolia completely fulfilled our needs for whole 11 nights of stay. What we appreciate the most, was that each bedroom has its' own separate bathroom which made each "going out" much faster. Kitchen is perfetly prepared for fast cleaning thanks to two dishwashers which came in clutch throughout each party night. There is absolutely no place for boredom, since plenty of activities are already prepared for guests such as ping pong, billard, volleyball and many other.

Wonderful villa just a short journey outside of Alvor

The Villa is lovely, a very comfortable home-base with large garden and grounds surrounding it. It's situated just a short drive from the A22 (main motorway through the Algarve) which was great for travelling different places around the Algarve. The owner Paulo was very helpful and communicative. We will definitely stay again the next time we're in the Algarve.

Groot compleet vakantiehuis voor grote groep.

Met een familie van 16 personen een week in deze prachtige villa geweest. Elke 2 persoonskamer had een eigen badkamer! In de keuken waren 2 afwasmachines en een wasmachine aanwezig. Verder in het huis voldoende ruimte. Buiten was het schitterend, een groot zwembad, voldoende ligbedjes en een heerlijk grasveld om op te liggen. De omgeving was heerlijk rustig, wij hadden van niemand last en niemand had last van ons. Contact met de eigenaar verliep ook zonder problemen en zeer snel. Een dikke 10!

Large rustic property with beautiful garden

As 10 adults and 2 toddlers we spent wonderful holidays in this house. All bedrooms have their own bathroom and are equipped with shutters and air conditioning. We like hard beds and found them very comfortable. They were perfect for us. We would like to point out that there are 2 large fridges and 2 dishwashers in the kitchen. This is well thought out for larger groups. The spacious garden is dreamlike beautiful and very well maintained. Also the pool is very nice and big. Our children had great fun in the garden and in the beach volleyball area. The check-in (and check-out) with Paulo's father went very well. He also took care of other matters on site. The communication with the landlord Paulo always worked very fast via whatsapp. The house and the furniture is a little old, but absolutely ok. For us with the toddlers the house was perfect. So we didn't have to worry about breaking any fancy things. And I think that the price-performance ratio here is really very good.

Härlig vistelse

Min familj, barn och barnbarn med respektive hade en underbar vecka på Magnolia. Mycket bad i poolen, fina ytor för barnen att röra sig på både inom och utomhus och fin underhållning i form av biljard och pingis. Våra barnbarn var i ålder från 1-12 år och alla trivdes. Kan rekomendera Magnolia varmt. Mysigt också med värdens pappa som hade sin grönsaksodling på tomten, en underbar man med hjärtat på rätta stället.

Super Freundliche Vermieter. Einfache und zeitgemäss kommunikation via Wathsapp. Die Villa is zwar etwas älter dennoch gut gepflegt. Man findet fast alles was man braucht. Peace and tranquility in a beautiful setting.

We stayed in Magnolia for a week in late October with our three children, their partners and our four grandsons. The age range of the 12 guests was 2 to 69. Everyone had their own room and bathroom and the living areas were spacious with plenty of seating both inside and outside. 4 bedrooms were located on the ground floor and three were accessed via a narrow spiral staircase to the first floor. We paid extra to have the pool heated but were glad that we had as the weather was good and everyone enjoyed the lovely pool each day. It had steps at one end so our 2 year old could sit and splash. The villa was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Two refrigerators in two separate kitchens proved useful. The hob and oven were not very efficient and took a while to reach temperature but we managed to cook for all of us. Simply furnished but with much thought given to families, the villa had lots to entertain the family. A pool table, table tennis, volley ball, football machine, DVD player, TV, wi-fi - even a child’s trike which our youngest grandson loved. It was hard to find the property when we arrived in the dark, as it is up a single track gravel road. Do your homework on google maps if you are going. The owner’s father greeted us even though we were late arriving (11pm) and he kindly showed us around the property and had milk in the fridge which I had requested. In short, everyone loved our stay in Magnolia and one and all were sad to leave at the end of our stay.

excellent sejour

Nous avons passe un excellent sejour en famille dans une villa tres confortable ,spacieuse et tres bien equipee. Le jardin tres bien entretenue permet aux enfants de jouer aux divers amenagements (terrain de volley,balançoire... ) et surtout de profiter au maximum de la piscine.Nous avons apprécié particuliérement le calme qui règne autour de la villa par ailleurs tres bien située pour visiter l Algarve. A recommander aux familles mais aussi pour séjour entre amis. Le propriétaire est très accueillant. M.C avril 2018

A spacious villa with plenty of activities inside and out

Twelve of our family stayed here as a celebration for our joint 70th birthdays. We loved the pool & used it several times a day each day (despite not the best weather!!!! ) The games rooms too were very well used & enjoyed by everyone. We thought the bedrooms were spacious & grouped in differing areas which was ideal for the individual family groups within our party. We found the villa very cold in the evenings but after a couple of days found that we could get the air condition machines to blow warm air in the lounge but they did not do that in all the other rooms & those were very cold indeed to go to bed in & the bathrooms too. We thought that duvets would have been a better bedding idea than the blankets & sheets but realize that for people staying in the proper summer months that would not be necessary. Maybe more seating in the lounge area would be a good idea as it was too cold or wet often to all sit outside in the evenings. Having said all that, we did enjoy our stay & it worked for our family group very well. Thank you - you are not responsible for the weather!!

Villa mit einigen Mängeln

Villa im Prinzip wie beschrieben aber einige Mängel im Detail: Eiige Sonnenliegen waren defekt, Dachflächenfenster in der 1.Etage ist undicht. Beim einzigen Regentag drang literweise Wasser ins Schlafzimmer. Der Laminatboden ist aufgequollen. Das 2. Schlafzimmer im 1.OG hat nicht den Standard der restlichen Schlafzimmer im Haus und gleicht eher einer Abstellkammer mit Bett. Im dazugehörigen Bad funktioniert die Rollade nicht (sie kann nicht hochgezogen werden) und es war immer dunkel bzw. man musste immer Licht einschalten. Die Kaffeemaschine war defekt und wurde während unseres Aufenthalts auch nicht ersetzt. Wir haben sie notdürftig repariert. Die Vermieterin war nur telefonisch erreichbar und der Vater vor Ort war mit der Situation überlastet. Sollten die Mängel weiterhin bestehen, können wir die Villa nur bedingt empfelen.

Brilliant

Villa is absolutely beautiful.we were a large family of 8 adults and 7 children ages ranging from 6 months to 9 yrs.so needed something big ,so wasn't disappointed.villa is spacious and nicely decorated throughout but its so comfortable its just like being at home.pool and outside areas are stunning kids had a ball playing outside all day long in the pool.its in a rural area so a car is recommended to get about.well equipped kitchens ..microwave,washing machine,dishwasher and plenty of plates ,pans,cups,glasses etc.everything you could possibly need is here.the photos of the villa inside and out are exactly what you get (I've booked hotels/villas in the past and none of the photos had any bearing to the properties when we have got there).the owners are lovely people and go out of their way to be as helpful as possible,, we emailed them several times and received a prompt and helpful reply each time.I can't praise this villa enough and hopefully we will all be returning again soon.

SUPERBE!!

Nous avons passé une semaine géniale dans une villa superbe! Tout est comme ce qui est décrit sur l'annonce, aucune mauvaise surprise. La villa est spacieuse, propre à l’intérieur comme à l’extérieur. La piscine est grande et vraiment à 2 pas de la villa. Des vacances de rêve!! Les propriétaires sont sympa et le papa Adelino toujours prêt à aider quand il est là. La villa est à 5 minutes du premier "mini mercado" et à 10 minutes de LAGOS, en pleine campagne, en plaine tranquillité. Seul petit bémol, c'est le contact avant d'arriver. Pas de réponse mail ni téléphone et pas d'adresse précise...

Great Villa! Away from it all

We stayed in Quinta Magnolia at the start of September for one week. We landed late on and arrived at the villa late. Once there we were greeted by the owners family who showed us all the facilities. The villa is in a quite spot with views to the sea and 5 mins to the nearest beach. The villa is well equipped having a games room/ bar area as well as a kitchen for preparing food. The rooms were all recently decorated to a very high standard. All rooms also had either ensuite or a private bathroom. Lagos is only a short drive with plenty of hypermarkets but the local villages around the villa also have small mini markets where essentials can be purchased. We had a great stay and would recommend to all.

 We like the Algarve and especially Lagos area, because the beach and the countryside fascinate us.
 At Magnolia there is Biologic/organic fruit.
 We are in perfect harmony with nature and all the family can be together, but still enjoying the privacy and intimacy of each one, due to the large areas available.

 Ecological villa and area, water heating from solar panels (electrical add awhen necessary), electricity production pannels, perfect respect for Nature.
 Private access. There is no noise from cars, but also very close to the beach, golf and between two magnificent cities: Lagos and Portimão.
 Close to the N125 and A22 highways.
