Loved this place

The house was as advertised. The experience was exceptional. It's a little tough to get to but that's what we wanted. The hosts were great and we really enjoyed our visit.

Great stay

High in the hills and cooler as a result thankfully as we came from Rome where it was 38 degrees. Pool lovely. Setting beautiful. Car vital. Hosts delightful. We’d come back we loved it so much. Food at restaurant around corner is really good value and excellent. We took train to Lucca for the day once which made a nice day out.

Our best rest in Italy!

This is marvelous place. Location, service, houseowner's family members all these puzzle pieces make this villa the best choice in Tuscana. We have spent here one week last september and got warmest impressions for coming winter season)) I'd like to say Great Thanks to Louise, Maurizio and other people who did their's best to make ourselves feel like we are in heaven )))!

Amazing view & Excellent host

We have just left the property of Louise in San Romano in Garfagnana What a week 👍☀️ The view from the pool / terrace- overseeing the mountains is some we have never experienced before The facility indoors were both clean and as the pictures on the homepage Our hostess was both very helpful, provided us with both fruit, vegetables as well as good advice when needed - and the pool got cleaned every day So all in all a place that we can recommend to everybody who wants a peaceful vacation in spectacular surroundings Warm regards Else & Peer

Amazing Vacation

This is a lovely place. Not easy to reach but once you get there, it is wonderful. It is a quite place. Everything you need for a great holiday is there. It looks pretty much like the pictures on the internet. The women who runs it was very friendly, speaks english and is nice to talk to. We might go there again.

Perfect place on Tuscany hill

We had a fabulous stay in this house overlooking the Tuscany hills. The views from the house are stunning ( I counted 7 rows of hills) and the house itself is (even) better than it looks on the pictures. It is located very quietly while being walking distance from the village (with restaurant). The pool is large and kept perfectly clean and has this great views on the surroundings. Louise came by every now and then to provide us with great fresh food from her garden (tomatoes from a quite different quality!). The surroundings (Garfagnana, Alpi Apuane) are great for hiking and biking and Lucca is an hour drive. All in all: a perfect two weeks!!

La 'Dolce Vita in Verrucole'

The Italian ‘dolce vita’ mixed with the hospitality of Louise and staying in an awesome holiday house situated in a beautiful landscape, offering full privacy with fantastic, unforgettable and impressive views on the hills and mountains of Tuscany, made our stay overwhelming. The house itself offers enough space for our 6-person family and the house is well provided with all daily necessities to have a carefree holiday time. Outside the house offers a beautiful outdoor space with BBQ and pizza oven as well as a large swimming pool. On arrival the owners, Louise and her husband Mauro, welcomed us very friendly and also during the 2 weeks thereafter they did their utmost best to make our stay as pleasant as possible and they succeeded. Our family had wonderful and unforgettable 2-weeks holidays we will remember for ever. Many thanks to Louise and Mauro

Absolutely perfect!

We spent our last week of May in this beautiful converted barn, 2 families of three. The upstairs of the barn divides into two separate areas, which makes it perfect for 2 families. Indoor is spacious and nicely decorated (pics don't do it justice). It's all about the outdoor space though: beautiful swimming pool with sunbeds, sofa group, dining space, pizza oven and table tennis - all which overlooks the best view in Northern Tuscany!! Louise gave us a warm welcome and offered us her own home made prosecco, cold beer and some sandwiches which was nice after a long journey from Norway. The hosts were always available if we needed them but never imposing. All necessary things like clean beddings and towels, shampoo, toilet paper, tea and coffee etc were provided. This place is a very good base for day trips to cinque terra and Lucca (although if the sun is beaming you probably just want to stay!) Thank you Louise for making our holiday perfect, we really enjoyed ourselves and are very sorry we did not get to say goodbye before we left Saturday morning. We might meet again! Awesome!

The pictures on the website really do this place justice. Stunning. The view from the patio and pool area will keep you catching your breath endlessly, it changes every hour. The villa has loads of space and was spotlessly clean - I mean, there wasn't a speck of dust or fluff anywhere. Very comfortable accommodation for the five of us. I can't really speak more highly of the place. The pool - amazing. The house - amazing. The patio and outdoor kitchen - amazing. The views - amazing. You can see right over to the alps, which is just stunning. There is a traditional pizza oven for your use - do try it, it's an education. Bear in mind that it takes a few hours to heat up properly and you have to keep stoking it. Huge fun, though. Out host, Louise, was delightful. I read some great stuff in other reviews about the owners and we had a similar experience. Louise and her family live in the adjacent house but you wouldn't know they were there, except when we had the occasional visit with freshly picked fruit and vegetables - the plums and squashes were totally superb. The local area is fabulous. Do check out the medieval fort, which is just a 10 minute walk up the hill, it is fantastic. For such a small village, literally a handful of houses, it has a brilliant restaurant and we ate there a couple of times. The pizzas are outstanding. There are loads of other places to visit around the area, some of the villages have markets - one to check out is Barga which is beautiful and we took a trip to Pisa, which is a couple of hours drive away - well worth it. Go for it, you'll not be disappointed!

Prima verblijf met prachtig uitzicht

Het was even zoeken waar de woning precies lag. Na een hobbelig pad van grind/stenen kwamen we bij de parkeerplaats voor de auto’s. Vervolgens moet je lopend nog een meter of 10/15 stijl naar beneden over een pad van asfalt. Vervolgens zie je het prachtige uitzicht met het prive zwembad, 2 leuke zitjes en de woning. De woning is typisch Italiaans ingericht, netjes en schoon! Het verblijf was heerlijk we hebben onwijs genoten. Klein minpunt is dat het ongeveer 1 uur rijden is naar bijvoorbeeld Lucca. Met kleine kinderen net iets te ver. Verder zou het echt een mega pluspunt zijn als de weg naar de woning aangepast zou worden! Louise is een heel aardige vrouw die duidelijk communiceert en altijd klaar staat voor de huurder!

Es hat eine großartige Lage für eine perfekte Aussicht und die Ausstattung war auch sehr gut. Allerdings war die Vermieterin schriftlich nicht zu erreichen, sondern nur per Telefon zur Absprache der Ankunft im Vorfeld. Die Anreise- und Abreisezeit bei fewo-direkt waren leider falsch angegeben. Ab 15uhr Anreise und 10uhr Abreise laut Vermieterin.

Ruhig und Erholsam

Das Objekt ist sehr sauber, liegt etwas abgelegen in den Bergen und ist daher ideal für alle, die absolute Ruhe und Erholung möchten. Allerdings müsste auch das ein oder andere renoviert werden. Die Matratzen in den Betten sind zum Teil sehr durchgelegen. Die beschriebene Tischtennisplatte ist vollkommen verzogen und daher nicht bespielbar. Uns hat es aber trotzdem sehr gut gefallen.

Super komfortable Villa - es fehlt an Nichts

Wir haben Alles so vorgefunden, wie es im Inserat beschrieben war und haben tolle neue Erfahrungen gemacht - z. Bsp. Pizza selber im Holzofen backen. Liebevolle Einrichtung. Die Lage ist etwas triggi - man sollte ein aktuelles Navi haben und keine Angst vor anspruchsvollen Strecken. Besonders die Anfahrt von Norden her über Modena ist mit nicht enden wollenden Serpentinen verbunden - besser gehts über Aulla bzw. gleich über Lucca. Absolut empfehlenswertes Domizil mit äußerst gastfreundlicher Vermieterin. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Best holidays ever

Hallo, Wir hatten das Glück, etwas über zwei Wochen in diesem wunderschönen Ferienhaus zu verbringen! Es ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und genug Platz für zwei Familien, so dass man sich auch aus dem Weg gehen kann, wenn man möchte. Luisa ist eine tolle Gastgeberin, sie ist jederzeit für Fragen da, und trotzdem ist man in einer absolut privaten Situation. Das beste, sicherlich der Pool. Das Wasser ist perfekt temperiert. Nicht zu kalt, aber immer frisch, so dass man sich bei der Hitze gut abkühlen konnte und die Poolanlage ist extrem gut gepflegt. Die Landschaft ist der absolute Hit. Also: wir würden jederzeit wieder fahren!
