This was a great property and location for our 12 day stay. Quiet neighbor with a park across the street. Central location for everything. Used this as our home base when we took train to Fairbanks for a few days so ww were able to pack minimally for that part of trip. Home was clean and kitchen had all necessary items, even a Kuerig which was great! Beds were comfortable and having a washer/dryer was extremely helpful in not having to overpack. A small chest of drawers would be nice for unpacking undergarments for long stay but not a game changer. Second bathroom is downstairs and has a pedestal sink so daughter didn't have anywhere to place all her toiletries, so we purchased an inexpensive over the door organizer and that solved that minor issue. This is a great property and owners were terrific. We look forward to staying again if we are able to make another trip to Anchorage.

Great little house

The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was spacious and had plenty of plates, bowls and cutlery. The keurig was well stocked. A couple things to know- there is no dining table and the area where the three-high bunk bed is is not a private bedroom. The house is quiet and was perfect for our needs. I would definitely recommend.

Alaska/Anchorage get away @ South Addition

We had an amazing time in Anchorage. The property "South Addition" was amazing. Though not recommended for anyone with a disability and in need of a wheel chair or walker because all of the bedrooms are on the second floor.Our stay was amazing to say the least. The property was as described in the VRBO listing. It was extremely clean and well stocked with cookware and dinnerware. There were no restaurants within a short walking distance. But, there is a plethora of restaurants within a 5-10 min drive, or less. We 100% enjoyed our stay and if we were to vacation in Anchorage again, we will definitely have this property on our short list of VRBO's. Check-in and check-out was easy. Location is key and this property checked all the boxes for us. We did not mind a short 5 min drive to the many restaurants in downtown Anchorage. The 12 min drive to the airport was also a plus!

Great location and nice house

The location was very convenient to Anchorage and the surrounding areas. The house was clean and well maintained. The waking trail and lagoon is a short distance from the house and easily accessible. The home was well equipped with coffee maker, coffee, spices, sugar, all utensils, plates, etc. plenty of towels and toiletries for our entire stay, even shampoo, conditioner, and body wash! My youngest used the Queen air mattress which was super comfortable. Very nice home and helpful hosts, we highly recommend it!

Great place for a business visit...

In Anchorage for a short business trip with a colleague - a much better option than a hotel, house was clean and well equipped and comfortable. Host was a great communicator and easy to deal with when we had to change the dates of our stay - thanks!

Too Bad About the Dog Smell

I am a frequent traveler for work and leisure, but normally do not write reviews. In this case I did so because I think it is Information I myself would have liked to know. The Good: Our check-in was simple as they generally are when just using a door code. The house itself is in a great area for walking, biking, and enjoying the outdoor beauty. The property is well maintained and instructions were simple.The Unfortunate: As soon as we walked in the door we were hit with an intense dog smell. It so pungent we were required to open the windows (which didn’t help much). At the time we considered reaching out to VRBO and asking to cancel the booking, but alas we’re exhausted from 14 hours of travel. I need to point out, I have a dog back at home in DC and I’m not hypersensitive to the smell of dog in a home. However, both us staying agreed it was uncomfortably intense and were stunned each time we returned from being out to the property. It’s unfortunate as the location, unit, and price were all acceptable. Hopefully it is something the owner can work on in the future. Either way, I would have wanted to know about the issue.

Great location!

Perfect place for the last leg of our Alaska trip - close to everything downtown and right next to fantastic bike trails for running and hiking. It had everything we needed for a fantastic stay.

Location, location, location!!!!

It was SO COZY and felt like home to us! Location was incredible! Daily walks were some of our highlights.. so much to see on these hikes. This host goes ABOVE and BEYOND! Tons of extras that he didn’t have to do. I’ve stayed at places with nothing.. including no salt and pepper. With this place were spices, appliances, perfect pillows, coffee, tea. iron, blow dried.. laundry soap!!! NOTHING MISSING! (We only ran out to get creamer) Darling home that we would rent again!!

Great location

Wonderful location. Quick walk to be on paths that join the coastal trail. Bright, clean unit which was very comfortable. Owners were wonderful to communicate with.

Welcome to Anchorage!

A perfect stop to start our Alaska adventure! It is very convenient to the airport which was very helpful as 3 of our party were delayed until 10:00 pm. It was so easy to return and pick them up late at night after a long day of travel! Didn’t do any cooking but coffee machine was great! Place is spotless and hosts provided great information and hospitality! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I chose this location because as they say ... location location location! It is close to just about anything I could want to do but it is quiet and comfortable when I want to relax at home.

I love the space, close to the most beautiful part of Anchorage. The neighbors are friendly. It is so easy to enjoy Alaska simply by walking out the front door and crossing the street into one of the most beautiful parks in Anchorage. Many locals as well as visitors come to this park to ride bikes, enjoy the beauty and the wildlife. Any season makes this the perfect location.
