The Space:

Welcome to the SunDestin Beach Resort by Scenic Stays, the premier condominium in the heart of Destin situated on a private beach overlooking the Gulf of Mexico! The onsite Scenic Stays team at SunDestin looks forward to welcoming you to your next beach vacation at our 24-hour front desk. The experience of a lifetime awaits! SunDestin Beach Resort features expansive onsite amenities including a newly renovated outdoor pool, outdoor hot tub,  steam room, sauna, newly renovated onsite restaurant (open Spring 2021), outdoor tiki bar (open seasonally), workout facility, event/meeting space, gift shop, complimentary DVD rentals and much more!



Upon entry to SunDestin Unit 214, you are greeted by a fully appointed, well-stocked kitchen for home-cooked meals or a quick snack to take to the beach. An open dining and living room concept immediately follow, with comfortable seating for guests after a long day at the beach and pool. Sweeping views of the Gulf of Mexico and the emerald waters welcome you from the living room and spacious balcony with seating four. This unit has been refreshed with new paint and furniture. Enjoy beautiful sunrises and calming sunsets directly overlooking the beach!



Refresh every night in the comfortable queen beds located in the master bedroom, while the kids relax in the two queen sofa sleepers located in the living room. Enjoy the flat panel televisions located in the living room and bedroom both equipped with DVD players. DVD rentals are available in the lobby directly across from the gift shop!



Guests under 22 must be accompanied by an adult chaperone throughout their stay. Pets are unfortunately not welcome and are subject to immediate departure if found to be inhabiting a property. Smoking is strictly forbidden.



Please note that La Dolce Vita is the beach service vendor for this property. While beach service rentals are not included in your stay, you can easily contact them directly for all your rental needs.

Please note: As part of an exciting resort enhancement project, some amenities at SunDestin Beach Resort are currently under construction, including the restaurant and outdoor pools.



During this time, guests may continue to enjoy beach access via the ADA-accessible pathway located around the side of the building. We are thoughtfully welcoming reservations now and throughout the spring while setting clear expectations in advance to ensure a comfortable, positive stay during this improvement phase.



These enhancements are designed to elevate the guest experience for years to come, and we look forward to welcoming guests in Summer 2026 to a beautifully refreshed SunDestin Beach Resort—one that reflects the level of care, comfort, and coastal hospitality our owners and guests expect.

214 was a nice unit everything you need!!!

I came for my birthday and it was awesome. I enjoyed being on the beach the pool was amazing and the staff were friendly and welcoming which made the trip even more enjoyable. The room was beautiful the mirrors, we couldn’t stay out of them 😊

Steps to the beach

This unit is steps to the beach! Being so close the the first floor helped with not waiting for the elevators. The beds are comfy and the privacy of the balcony was great! I will stay here again.

Very clean and comfortable

I stayed here earlier this year and this time I saw the beds are new. Very comfortable and had everything I needed. I don’t like high floors so this unit works great! Laundry is close by made it easy to wash a load. I will book again

Condo on the beach

Condo was ok - definitely needs fixed and needs updating. Closet doors kept falling off, broken tiles on the balcony, etc. the location was fantastic, staff was friendly, and beaches were beautiful. Overall a good stay - other condos seemed more up to date, but this one could use some love.

Family Stay

The condo was fine. It was clean. It was in a great location and the staff were very friendly. Beach was beautiful. The condo itself is outdated and definitely needs some updating. The view is very much obstructed and the tiles on the deck had some cracks in them. The closet door in the bedroom was not attached and in poor condition, but not really a big deal. Just some things we noticed. Overall it was fine because we weren’t in the condo much and the pros outweighed the cons.

Property was not very clean. It was also not as advertised. The property was under construction during our stay. There was debris flying onto our balcony area and we couldn’t use it. The splash pad area for the kids was out of service which is the main reason we wanted to stay there. It seemed old overall and not like the listing. Very disappointing. I asked for someone to call me back and no one ever did. I would not recommend it.

Balcony unappealing view.

The convenience of using the stairs instead of elevator was the best part. The location set up of being level with a dirty metal roof was unpleasant. Some things may accidentally blow down, understandably. But we watched items that loudly crashed down in front of us, including drink cans, pizza, a dirty diaper and more. The couch pillows were tired and dirty-looking, and sofa bed very uncomfortable. I was grateful the unit was available at the last minute, but I wouldn’t stay there again.
