The Bourbon Belle is a newly renovated historic shotgun home in the heart of Louisville's Germantown neighborhood. Close to huge events such as Kentucky Derby, Bourbon and Beyond, and Louder Than Life Music Festivals! We are also ready to host short term, mid-term, and long term rental guests. Digital nomads, nurses and healthcare professionals welcome! Great for active seniors looking for single level accommodations.
Lots of natural light and tall ceilings make your stay feel comfy and warm just like home. Sleeps 4 comfortably and has 1.5 bathrooms. W/D. 2 Smart 55" TVs. High speed internet. Easy parking for 2 cars in the back and free street parking in the front. Mini-market and coffee shop @ Full Stop Cafe across the street.
**Before booking, please note-- We ask all guests to upload ID, e-sign our rental agreement and hold a security deposit of $300 at time of booking. Access info will not be given until the booking process is completed.
Plase read our House Rules to make sure our listing is a good fit. Must be 21 yrs old to book.
Centrally located, close to Downtown, U of Louisville, KY Fair &Expo Center, Louisville Airport, and only 3.2 miles away from Churchill Downs.
The Bourbon Belle is one of Louisville's original shotgun homes. Louisville is known for it's preservation of these unique homes that "you could fire a shotgun from one end of the home out the other". They were built in the early 1890’s by German immigrants working in small farms and butcher shops.
We worked to restore this historic property with modern conveniences and comforts while keeping the rich tradition alive.
This home is 900 square feet and has 1 primary bedroom and full bath, 1 queen sized sofa bed with half bath, large cozy papasan chair, fully stocked kitchen with all new appliances, 2 Smart TVs, high speed internet, back yard with patio and gas grill. Sleeps 4 comfortably, premium linens and towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner supplied.
Location! Location! Our neighborhood is known for walkability, local small business, and it’s vibrance!
Guest access-
Concrete parking pad in the back or free street parking in the front. Lock box next to front door will release key inside for easy check in. No Pets, No Parties/Events please.
Other things to note-
Louisville is best known for it’s Bourbon tradition, Bluegrass music, and thoroughbred horse racing- the Kentucky Derby! We hope you have a chance to experience some of those traditions and also our great neighborhood bars and restaurants.

Guest is required to upload ID, e-sign Renter Agreement, hold a security deposit of $300. Minimum age to rent is 21.

We were in town for a long weekend, this house was perfect for coming back to at night and relaxing. It had everything we needed. The only pause we had was the 10:00 checkout. It was doable, but we seemed rushed to get packed up and out by then. This isn't a negative comment, just an observation. It was disclosed before we booked, so we were aware. Again, thank you for an enjoyable weekend.

Nicely renovated home right across from a coffee shop and walking distance to too many restaurants to count. The bedroom stays dark in the morning, and the living room is crazy comfortable. Great communication from the host, too.

Cozy home in a walkable neighborhood. Home is exactly as described. Off street parking is an added bonus. Close to NuLu and many other Louisville attractions. Host was very quick to respond and helpful.

I've stayed at this property before and recommend it highly. The host is excellent. Coffee shop is right across the street and many restaurants are fairly close.

Louisville stay

The VRBO was in a perfect location for us. We attended a volleyball tournament at Louisville convention center. I would recommend anybody stay at this location. If we get back to Louisville, we will definitely try to stay at the same place.Tom Wilson

Just what we needed!

We were near everything we needed. Perfect distance from Raising Canes. House was exactly like the pictures showed. Papasan chair was very comfy. Loved the Roku tv in the bedroom. Perfect for our volleyball weekend! Host was very responsive and checked to make sure we had arrived ok. We would stay again!

Bourbon Belle Stay

Came to Louisville for a long weekend to visit with my son and his girlfriend and to watch the national football championship game. Can’t imagine our staying at a hotel again as long as homes like this are available. It’s so much more relaxing and has the benefit of a kitchen available.

Quick Getaway

Positives - As described, clean, good proximity to things to do, parking behind house, and effective for costNegatives - Immediate location is okay, but surrounding areas are pretty rough. That’s really the only complaint outside of noise from planes flying overhead. Some of the windows weren’t locked when we arrived. Not a big deal, so didn’t say anything to the host. Just thought it was weird.

Feels like home

This shotgun house is so adorable and roomy for a one bedroom. Extremely clean and up to date. The kitchen has all the tools you need to make an incredible dinner.

Quiet getaway

The Bourbon Belle was the perfect location for a quick, quiet visit to Louisville. The home was cozy and comfortable, very convenient to downtown and distilleries and for hopping on/off the interstate. Great Location

Wonderful location and a lovely shotgun home. Was in town for work and ended up having to stay a few extra days - so glad I had this great space to come back to each evening. I also highly recommend Phalcha Coffee down the road :)

A beautiful home just outside of downtown Louisville, in a quiet suburb. This home was just remodeled and the homeowner provides all the amenities that you need for a comfortable stay. A ten minute drive and you’re downtown enjoying the great restaurants and atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this home.

My husband and I have lived in the Highlands/Germantown area since 1997. I am a retired nurse and real estate agent and we run a real estate investment company, managing our properties ourselves without using a property management co. I am originally from Louisville and met my husband while studying at the University of Kentucky. However, we both graduated from the University of Louisville! So, we get to cheer for both teams!
We love Louisville, know the history and all the cool things to see and do. We love being centrally located and close to everything! Just let us know what your interests are and if you need some tips we'd be happy to help!
