Paradise Found | Beachfront, Steps from the Beach!

This beachfront home is located in the close-in west end subdivision of Spanish Grant Galveston. Paradise Found is a roomy two-bedroom, one and a half bath home that will easily accommodate 5 guests. The Spanish Grant subdivision has lovely beaches and guests walk out the front door and directly out to the beach access walk over to the water's edge (over the sand dunes).

Paradise Found has a lovely covered deck area with Adirondack-style seating so guests can watch the sunrise in the morning and dream away the sunny afternoon under the shady cover of the deck. The patio the house features a closet with a full-size washer and dryer, outdoor heated shower, and large picnic table and charcoal grill.

The open concept living/dining/kitchen area is quaint as can be with cottage-style décor and a charming parasol at the end of the kitchen counter. The living area features a very large television, cable TV/WIFI, and DVD player with Netflix capabilities (bring your own login/password) for guest use. The kitchen features an open bar area for cool drinks while the chef prepares a fresh shrimp dinner for the family!

The primary bedroom has a queen bed and television and en-suite 1/2 bath, 2nd bedroom also has a queen bed plus a twin daybed. The 2nd bedroom also features an extra twin under the daybed for an optional sleeping arrangement. The bedrooms are roomy and comfortable with adequate storage and closet space to stow away suitcases and other vacation gear. Guests who stay at Paradise Found will return year after year for the cottage atmosphere in a beachfront home!

Spanish Grant is a quaint, cozy, welcoming, friendly, island beach village, established well before the ’90s, located just seven miles West of 61st Street, with just three rows of beach homes and offers multiple pathways to access the beach. The beach in Spanish Grant is not a drive-on beach, which many families with small children prefer.

NOTES
The couch is brand new, however the recliners are not setup to recline.
The owner has beach chairs, beach balls, toys, and a wagon for guest use. Please return back to garage clean for next guest.
There are three (3) approved public pedestrian pathways to the beach in Spanish Grant. One is at the end of Spanish Grant Blvd. and the other two are at the east and west ends of Ventura. DO NOT enter the beach at Buena Vista dunes or by cutting through private property to access the beach. Parking is only allowed on the beach side of the road on Buena Vista.

Check-in was good, we had problem opening the lock box the code did not work. When we entered the house, we noticed roaches running on the floors, they had roach poop on the kitchen counter, stovetop, floor and even in the cookware. Very disgusting. They didn’t provide any laundry detergent for laundry as they stated. Wi-Fi was easy to access. The location was great, the furnitures on the porch were very comfortable. The outdoor shower was nice. Parking was nice also. I would recommend the owner get an exterminator. The house needs some TLC . Door above microwave was unhinged, one of the burners on the stove was not working, microwave was old. We had booked the house for 2 days, I always carry Clorox wipes and disinfectant spray no matter where we go. If I didn’t have that with us , there is no way me and my family would have stayed there. We had our toddler and 10 year old with us. I had to sweep and clean everything. And mind you they charge a cleaning fee when you’re booking.

We had a nice stay at Paradise found. The only difficulty we had was that we were not given the correct code for the lock box to retrieve the house keys. We were able to call and get a new code easily. The keys themselves were tricky to use. The kitchen was nice and had everything we needed for our stay. The location was great and our family had a nice time.

The location is great, especially for families with kids. Being able to walk across to the beach is so nice. The majority of our stay was really nice allowed for a fun family vacation. The night before we left when we began packing we were greeted by several 3” cockroaches coming out of kitchen cabinets, a utility closet and living room cabinet. Not a fun way to end our trip. It was reported to the property management company the next day.

Overall stay was amazing. The house was clean and had everything we needed. It was beautiful and perfectly located. Waking up to watching the ocean from the porch was beautiful. The only issue was we were given the wrong lockbox code and were stuck waiting outside for nearly two hours.

Great location

The location is excellent. The house was super cute although a little beat up lookin on the outside. I saw a few comments about the beds and I have to agree the beds could use some upgrading. Keep in mind to check galvestons beach conditions to make sure there are no rip current warnings before going in the water, we were unable to the full second day which was a bummer. Overall a great spot thats close to gas stations and not far from town.

Truly Paradise

I appreciate that the description and pictures of this property were accurate and not photo shopped. The house was clean. Towels were fluffy. There were enough products, but we did need to buy toilet paper. The house is literally 30 steps from the beach. The decor was really thoughtful. The bed in the master was an issue. It slopes badly to the center. I was able to get more comfort sleeping corner to corner. The twin bed was not comfortable either. The Murphy bed was nice. The couch is on its last legs, but not uncomfortable. The view from the front areas was great. The blinds in that area do not work well and should probably be replaced. The downstairs washer and dryer are nice and the laundry room is clean.. there are beach chairs and toys in the garage. The garage needs a cleaning. Many things in there are unusable. The chairs we needed were fine. All in all, this is a great place. Without hesitation, I would stay there again. Front row paradise, to be sure.

Property super cute. Great location. Steps from beach. Furniture is horrible! Couch is ripped and you sink to floor. Mattresses and box springs are old and broke or covered in plastic to make you hot and the sheets slide off. Contacted the so called host 3 times. only received 1 reply the day before we left and the answer was wrong

Awesome views even in rainy weather. May want to check master bedroom bed from or box spring. It kept rolling my wife and I to the middle of the bed. Other than that the place is awesome and would rent again

This home is right on beach front, beautiful deck view of the beach. Calm neighborhood, and calm beach since its mainly used by residents of the neighborhood. The beach is public, so there were some cars parked on the other side of street, but not too bad. The host has many useful items for beach: sand toys, wagon, chairs, fishing poles, and unbrella. House could use some exterior painting.

Perfect few days with sea breezes and waves steps from the beach

Awesome location and house had all the amenities listed. Great that no driving on the beach is allowed at this part of the beach. Quiet and peaceful. Steps from the water is accurate. Deck was shady in the afternoon with cool breeze and comfy furniture to listen to the waves. Outdoor shower greatly appreciated, and there were beach toys in the garage too!

Enjoyable weekend stay

Loved this cozy oceanfront place! Step right out onto the beach, great access especially with little kids. Love the gate that closes on the balcony so littles can’t go down the stairs alone. Super clean. Plenty of bath towels and extra blankets. Kitchen well stocked as far as utensils and pans, appliances (blender/coffee machine/etc) A couple suggestions just from staying at multiple beach houses- have more than 1 dish towel (so maybe supply multiple since they dirty quickly). The washing machine did not work so if those appliances could be checked before stays that way guests know in advance (we packed light thinking we could wash and we could not). I understand things happen and it could happen last minute where the owners don’t know.

Except for having trouble with the key code. Everything was fine. You might consider adding more supplies- ie.dishwasher tabs and dish cloth for kitchen. Thanks for the abundance of bath towels.

great little place but needs a few upgrades

the best thing is you are practically on the beach...just a very, very short walk to the ocean. the decor is so cute and the covered porch was awesome. the furniture is not very comfortable. the beds were not very comfortable. the "gourmet kitchen" was not. no k cup brewer. pots and pans were odd ends. the downstairs shower did not work. dining room chair cushions need replaced. just some things to work on. we really enjoyed the location but didn't get much sleep for tossing and turning trying to get comfortable.

Cozy beach shack on a great beach!

This house was a perfect little place for the three of us to have a very quiet relaxing time. It may not be new and fancy but it was very clean, comfortable and was in a wonderful quiet part of the beach. It was wonderful to wake up to the amazing view and Is steps away from the water. We will definitely try to book this one again when the weather is warmer.

LOCATION not luxury.

Location is the greatest thing about this property. Location, Location, Location. Deck overlooking the beach and right out the door and on the beach was the best. Great light darkening curtains in the master - the 2nd bedroom should have some also for the kids. 1. need an upgrade...very old mattresses with an attempt to upgrade by overlaying with memory foam and covering with plastic. Very uncomfortable and no sleep. 2. little bitty ants were everywhere. Kitchen, living area, bedroom (in the bed), bathroom. 3. the hooks were rust laden....ruined a couple swim suits hanging them up to dry....hang on the wooden chairs. 4. LOTS of beach toys and boogie boards, and very rusty chairs in the storage area. Folks or owners should throw away items that don't work and not leave it to store. Beware of that storage area/garage - may find a critter in there. 5. We didn't have internet/T.V. the 1st day into the 2nd. The cable guy finally came out by 5 after making a call to the rental property. 6. The sliding door need NEW blinds/covering - the louvers are old, they fall off and difficult to open/shut. 7. Did not use washer/dryer - other appliances were good. Overall feel of the property is a 3 star. I can deal with worn floors, furniture, appliances, etc....but the beds and ants were downgrading features. Hope the owners upgrade the property - at least the noted items as mentioned.
