Travellers beware; don't expect a peaceful vavcation
We are regular VRBO vacationers and are aware of what to expect. This was a noisey, dirty location. Adjacent to shipyard with constant use of heavy machinery plus diesel and paint fumes. Fish market and 'mini super' at rear of property with cars , trucks and bikes all day. At front of property are vacant, trash filled lots for sale and a derelict building next door.
Casa Tabachines was once a charming older home with a wealth of authentic Mexican features - wooden doors with shutters, hand painted tiles, internal patios. Appliances are old but work OK most of the time.
Owners do not supply a Welcome Book so there is no helpful information on the locality; or the appliances; or the essential info in case of emergency.
The nearest beach is about a 15 minute walk away. Grey coarse sand, shelves steeply, unattractive.
We were deceived by the photos and the owners' assurances that any noise was minimal. Fellow travellers beware.
