Oceanfront was the main perk, you cannot beat the view and easy access to the beach. The hosts were very responsive with the questions we had. The hot tub was out of order but issues arise, we understand. The kitchen had the essentials as far as cooking goes (pots/pans/plates/silverware, etc.) The kitchen was updated so that created a comfortable feel. The carpet was deep dirty so we bought an area rug for our toddler to play on and the couch looked clean but stunk. The recliner needs a heavy cleaning or replacement. Disgustingly stained everywhere so we used a spare sheet to cover it so we could sit down. Our toddler found a lot of skittles and old chips under the couch and dried out waffles in the bedroom. Fortunately she did not try to eat anything especially choke on the skittles. A very, very noisy place on busy weekends so prepare for that. For the price, it was decent but a bit dirty.

Great spot!

We loved our stay! The apartment was really cozy and home-like. The kitchen was clean and easy to cook in, the beds (even the Murphy bed!) were comfy, and the view was amazing. The wifi worked great, and having Roku to sign into was an added bonus. We had a five year old with us that went in the pool three times a day, and was super excited to be able to walk about of the apartment and be right on the beach. All in all, a fantastic vacation. We'll be back for sure!

Clean and great place! Very nice that it’s right on the beach. Although the Hot tub was closed and that would’ve been nice to know. And we had some trouble with the code but they were very helpful! :)

Spring break Vacay

Overall the place is a nice getaway. The only down fall was parking is limited and will need to park on the street if you come back late. The pool was shut down day 2 of our stay and never got fix. The reason we book this place was the pool and hot tub. Wish there was a way to get things fix faster.

George, thank you for the kind and candid review of your recent stay in #209 Beach Daze. We hope you loved the condo's ocean view and that the check-in process was easy and convenient. We're also sincerely grateful for the 5-star rating despite the frustrations with the pool and parking. Please be assured that both of those issues were the result of temporary circumstances. The HOA was re-siding portions of the property during your stay, which took some much needed parking spaces out of commission. Our parking is never extensive, but it also usually isn't so limited. The pool closure was also frustrating for everyone, and we wish it was easier to get it cleaned and reopened more efficiently. Regrettably, the closure was likely the direct result of other guests and children going from the beach to the pool without showering properly and introducing sand and other contaminates. Once the pool is out of balance or contaminated, it is very difficult to correct quickly. Maintenance does everything they can to catch and address these situations as soon as possible, but it can be unpredictable and we won't ever risk guest safety for the sake of convenience. We sincerely hope that you were still able to have a relaxing and fun stay at our oceanfront condo despite that situation and that we'll get to see you in the future under better circumstances. And thank you once again for the kind feedback of your stay.

What A View

Dsands was great to work with. The property was clean and well kept, the staff was friendly and helpful and the views and location couldn’t be beat! My only complaint was there was no vacuum provided by the owners. We were there for a week, and with two young kids, vacuuming is necessary. Dsands was nice enough to lend me a vacuum from the office, though. Very happy with our stay.

Jeanette, thank you for the kind feedback on your stay in 209 Beach Daze! We're thrilled we made a great impression with friendly staff and a clean property, and we hope you had most everything you needed to relax and enjoy the ocean view. We also hope your kids enjoyed the pool or easy beach access for some fun! We only manage these condos for the owners, so we'll pass on your feedback about needing a vacuum. That's an item we highly recommend, and guest comments like yours can really help us support our recommendations. Until then, our office does it's best to keep certain things on hand to ensure guests have what they need to enjoy their stay. We're very happy you left happy, and we hope to see you again!

Great Deal for a Great View

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Things were neat and clean but we noticed the bathroom needs some detail cleaning. The one thing I’ll note is the kitchen has no seasonings ( except small salt/pepper) or basic pantry items. We’ve stayed in multiple VRBO properties and this is the first one that didn’t have some basics. For the price we paid over a holiday weekend, we got a great deal and would return!

Not the cleanest

Location and the views are wonderful. They really are in a prime spot right next to one of the best beaches for kids on the OR coast, BUT I wish it had been cleaned a bit better. My toddler brought me a Cheeto and a Golden Graham she had found from a previous guest and it just didn't feel very clean. The carpet could use a good cleaning. I did appreciate the convenience of the keyless entry, again, just wish it would have felt cleaner so I could have felt more comfortable and relaxed during our stay.

Didn't enjoy our stay, not a clean property

This is an old property and not at all maintained. For us, cleanliness and hygiene was the most important factor and it was such a shady place outside the apartment. We booked this condo for 3 nights but we stayed for 2 nights and returned as my family didn't enjoy the stay. It was not worth use of our money for sure.

Location was good. Unit was very old. Heater was very noisy. Bath fan needs to be replaced. Fridge froze all our food solid, milk, yogurt, strawberries, etc. No paper towels and only one box of Kleenex. We rent our homes in Sunriver so very aware of guest expectations.

Property was run down and dirty. The interior of the rental was well stocked and clean with the exception of glass window to view and deck full of bird poop. Couldn’t see out of window well and didn’t have supplies to clean the window for good viewing. Didn’t really want to sit outside due to excess poop on deck and chairs. There was a cutting board that was stained with what looked like mold.

The room was great and the weather was sunny. We love staying at D Sands because it is central to the places we like to visit. From Roberts Books,Chinook Winds and down to Gracie's in Depo Bay. There were some minor maintenance problems. Both living room lamps need repair and the drain plug in the bathroom tub needs attention.
