Traveling and working extensively throughout the world, the owners of Casa Dos Cisnes visited Puerto Vallarta multiple times and fell in love with its climate, cuisine, culture, and charm. Dreaming of owning a traditional Colonial Mexican home, they soon realized that few if any had been built in the area that matched their desire for both ocean views and hacienda style living. Searching for property upon which to build, they immediately knew they had found their future home when they discovered upper Conchas Chinas and its spectacular vistas.
Designing the house over the course of four years, the owners meticulously studied Colonial Mexican architecture and revised the house plans to accommodate the modern needs of their expanded family. Building and furnishing the villa took an additional four years during which time the owners traveled throughout Mexico to obtain pottery, artwork, and artifacts to enhance the authentic, historic ambiance of the home. Designing much of the furniture, lighting, and features of the home, the owners created the villa with the needs of the discriminating traveler in mind, based upon their own travels globally over the course of their business careers.
The owners chose upper Conchas Chinas not only for its stunning views, but also for its proximity to town and the local beaches. Contrary to developments to the north of Puerto Vallarta, Conchas Chinas is but a short distance to the many gourmet restaurants, art galleries, shopping experiences, sporting activities, and entertainment venues offered downtown. At the same time, the neighborhood’s southwestern facing orientation provides it with an exclusive, peaceful ambiance.
Aside from Casa Dos Cisnes, the owners maintain homes in the United States and Western Europe. They hope to welcome you to Casa Dos Cisnes and that you, too, may fall under the spell of the Two Swans!
