Palmetto Cottage is a bright and cheery beach cottage in the heart of Seagrove Beach. Centrally located, but in a quiet area near Eastern Lake, this home offers plenty of space for up to 7 guests and it's pet friendly too. The main open concept area makes family time effortless. And the location puts you central to shopping and dining in Seagrove as well as minutes from all of South Walton's unique beach communities.

Enjoy gathering indoors or spend some time on the screened-in porch (or the covered deck out back!). The kitchen has plenty of counter space for preparing meals and beach snacks. Dine indoors or al fresco!

If you want to dip your toes in the sand, you're just a 2-minute walk to the beach access at Eastern Lake.

Sleeping Arrangements - Sleeps 7:
Bedroom 1: King bed, TV. Shared hallway bathroom with tub/shower combo.
Bedroom 2: Queen bed + twin bed, TV. Private bathroom with tub/shower combo.
Sofa in the living room pulls out to a queen bed.

Beach Access:
Head down south on Williams St to Eastern Lake Road. Turn left (east) and this road will end at your beach access at Eastern Lake. For an easier access without the Eastern Lake outfall, you can also walk further down Eastern Lake Road to Ramsgate Beach Access.
Distance: .3 miles | Time: 2 minutes walking

Seagrove Beach:
Named for the thick grove of oak trees lining its coastline, Seagrove Beach is located in the heart of 30A. The coastal villages of Seaside, Grayton, and WaterColor lie within a mile or two to the West, while Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach, and WaterSound lie a few miles East. There's no better spot to experience everything 30A has to offer!

Your stay at Palmetto Cottage comes with Xplorie’s best activities! one ticket per day, per activity! (over $800 in nightly value) Tee off at Emerald Bay or Regatta Bay, zip through Baytowne Adventure Zone, and sail on the Sea Blaster Dolphin Cruise. Enjoy Big Kahuna’s Water Park, Black Light Mini Golf, and scenic bike rides with complimentary rentals. Explore 30A with ease and adventure!

* Dog Friendly: If bringing a pet, an additional non-refundable pet fee will be added to your booking. Please contact us if you are bringing a dog. A maximum of 2 dogs is allowed at a maximum of 30 lbs. Please see our rental policies for further details.

An initial starter kit of amenities is provided for all guests. For the kitchen this includes: 1 roll of paper towels, 1 dish sponge, 1 dish soap, 2 dishwasher pods, and 1 liner for each trashcan. For each bathroom it includes: 1 roll of toilet paper, 1 set of soap/body wash/shampoo/conditioner/lotion. For towels you will receive: 1 body towel/1 washcloth per guest and 2 hand towels per bathroom, plus 2 washing machine pods.

Confy, cozy , nature filled cottage

This is the second time we are at the cottage. Period. We love the feel of Warm, inviting, setback with nature and privacy. Would definitely stay there again when in the area.

Good location, property is dirty!

The location of this place was great although the next door neighbors are under serious construction (woke up to a crew at 7am on thanksgiving morning). The property is very musty which is to be expected at the beach-the problem was that it looked like they didn’t clean and just doused the place in pine sol, I had a headache for the first 48 hours. I found someone’s wad of gum on the porch table, again, there is no way this place gets cleaned. Master bed was very uncomfy with 10+ year old sheets. Would not stay here again!

The beds were incredibly comfortable! We loved sitting on the screened porch. The kitchen was well supplied with coffee pots, Keurig, pots, pans, etc. There were plenty of plates, bowls, silverware, etc in the kitchen. It was very clean upon our arrival. It was a short walk, bike ride or drive to so many shops, restaurants and beach access. We will definitely be considering it for our next trip. There was great communication and reminders throughout our stay. Following our stay we thought we left something in the house and we called the company. They very quickly got in touch with housekeeping to check for our item.

While we enjoyed our stay, I have a few recommendations for the owners:The linens / towels were terrible! They were old and worn - felt like I was drying off with sandpaper. The King-Size mattress is severely lopsided. The pillows were FLAT and worn out. Also a blanket or two would be nice. The front yard is a mess and needs cleaning up. Finally, it would be nice to have a couple of beach chairs available and maybe offer a couple of bicycles with the rental. This is the first beach rental I’ve had where no beach chairs were provided. This was pretty bare-bones.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved this little house! It was perfect for my husband, dog and I. The place was very clean, well stocked and the porch was our favorite! The only downside (which has nothing to do with the property) is the beach access. The public access on Eastern Lake required that you walk through the lake to get to the beach. The other public access doesn't have much room for parking. NEITHER access provides bathrooms. Dogs aren't allowed on the Beaches on 30A, so we used "What's Up Dog" daycare in Santa Rosa Beach for our beach days. Benchmark Rental agency was excellent with communication and I would 100% work with them again.

Old furniture, paint coming off walls and old beds. it has the most random cookware and dishes. TVs were monitor sizes and that is a cheap fix. No blankets and bedding was a sheet and a thin quilt. If you rent here bring pillows and blankets and paper goods for sure. Benchmark was fantastic and very responsive. I knew the place was old so that is on me. If they would upgrade the tvs and beds it would be so much better! That being said we had a fantastic time for the price since we didn’t stay in the house much!

The two closest beach accesses were not convenient. The cottage was clean but the back toilet had been shut off and when we turned it back on water leaked everywhere in the bathroom. So we could not use that bathroom. Day before we left we discovered the kitchen sink was leaking underneath and ran out in the floor of the kitchen. The cottage had not been used in awhile and was very musty smelling. It definitely needs work before anyone stays there again. This was not a very enjoyable stay.
