Welcome to Humble Shores—an oceanfront retreat where the rhythm of the waves sets the tone for your stay. Whether you’re here to whale-watch with coffee in hand, battle it out on the giant wall Scrabble board, or find stillness in the yoga studio, this is your gateway to true Island living.

Set on a private oceanfront lot, the home features sweeping views of the Georgia Strait and Coast Mountains, often visited by whales, otters, seals, and passing cruise ships. Two full-length oceanview decks and a beachfront cabana let you take it all in—sunrises, sea life, and salty air included.

The space is designed for comfort, connection, and quiet luxury. Upstairs features an open-concept kitchen, living, and dining space with vaulted ceilings, skylights, and panoramic windows. Downstairs includes a cozy TV room, workspace, two bedrooms, and access to a second deck and yard. Bedrooms include a king suite with walk-in shower and private oceanfront deck access, a queen room, a double room, and an additional Murphy bed in the open loft.

This cottage is the perfect location for great family times and a take off point for all the local things to do. We loved sitting together out at the rocky beach or on either level of patio. Great comfy outdoor seating and fire options. The living room has a massive window and telescope. My husband and myself watched the sun rise. The primary bedroom room is very luxurious. The patios are very safe for children but the rocky beach might not work for a toddler. If we were in the area we would definitely stay here again. Our favourite day trip was to Brown’s falls near Comox for an old fashion swimming hole ans waterfall.

Beautiful property with superb ocean views - we could look out at the sea all day. Beach access made it even better. The property was spacious and well equipped, everything you could want in the kitchen. Courtenay and Comox are lovely and there is so much to see and do in the area, our party ranged in age from 12 to 81 and we all had a fantastic and relaxing vacation.

Perfect for a family gathering!

We gathered with extended family to celebrate our mom who passed during Covid. After the graveside gathering to inter her ashes we gathered at the house and it couldn’t have been a better space for it. The house is just gorgeous. So open and bright with views you can drown in. Highly recommend and hope to return!

Our get away.

Was a lovely place. Had ample room for us and was a great place to walk to many great hikes. Only thing that needs attention is the front steps. They need to put some kind of anti skid on them.

Modern home in the country with an ocean view.

We really enjoyed our stay in this spacious home. The beautiful large kitchen was excellent for cooking a big group breakfast. The view from the living room, the master bedroom shower, the mattress and pillows were all excellent. Lastly the 30minute drive to Cumberland through the country was quite relaxing and beautiful.

Amazing home for a family holiday.

We just spent a rainy October weekend on this property and it surpassed our expectations. We were a multi-generational family and everyone was very comfortable. The kitchen is fabulous for entertaining and the view is something that you will never tire of looking out upon. We hope to come back in a summer month. What a treasure of a home, thank you so much for sharing it with us!

Coastal retreat

Our stay at Humble Shores was absolutely delightful. Very well appointed home, lots of outdoor and indoor spaces (impressive gardening!) to take in the breathtaking ocean scenery. We saw humpbacks (with the helpful binoculars!) one evening and enjoyed walking along the rocky shores. Highly recommend and hope to return!

Beautiful home, gorgeous view

Our family of 7 thoroughly enjoyed your beautiful home with a gorgeous view. The beds are comfortable and the big kitchen table was perfect for meals and after hours card and dice games. Serene landscape on a quiet street.

Beautiful Home

We just returned from a wonderful vacation. I am happy to report the home was immaculate. It was exactly as described. The neighborhood was quiet and a great place to get away and relax. A few small issues came up during our stay and the property manager was very responsive and helped to resolve our issues quickly. I really appreciate how quickly they responded. Will be happy to book here again.

Lovely home and property, gorgeous view and very peaceful, perfect for multi generation group. Wifi password info at checkin would have been helpful. Downstairs TV didn’t work and some lights out in downstairs bathroom.

Escape

The property was obviously designed with great thought and care by someone who valued connections and smooth hosting. There are private spaces as well as open spaces laid out for entertaining, meals and recreation. The views are stunning! From early morning sunrises to dreamy sunsets on the beach, the property is a haven!

Beautiful comfortable location

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful place and location. We had great communication with the owner. The gazebo was a great place to sit and look out to the water. Wonderful spot.

Family Easter Memories.

Very peaceful setting with stunning views of the ocean and backdrop of snowcapped mountains. The spacious home design is such that it accommodated our family to gathering for great meals that we could prepare in a very well equipped kitchen and BBQ that worked very well.

Beautiful Place

The house was immaculate. The cleaners did a fantastic job. The location is private and very beautiful. Basing from here to ski worked wonderfully. We had a blast!

An absolute beautiful location. Everything is there which made things so nice! Baby gate was a huge bonus for my grand daughter. The yard is so neat and the view is amazing.

Great Place

Loved the location of the property near Seal Bay park and the Comox Valley in general is beautiful PNW scenery. One seal spent hours sunning themselves on a rock in the water at high tide. House is spacious, the kitchen was huge, knowing the place was stocked with K-cups was great, and in my opinion, the pictures undersell the view from the living room, it's better in person. Only knocks I have is the stairs are a bit slippery especially for kids and the master bathroom not having any doors was not our style.

Winter vacation

Great spot. Incredible views of the ocean. Close to Courtney and not far from mount Washington. Only challenge was sorting out the wifi password when we first arrived but they were able to organize that by the evening. Would definitely come back.
