Hi Ruth, We appreciate your feedback and take your comments seriously. We will address the issues you've mentioned to improve the quality of our accommodations for future guests. This apartment is a real Airbnb apt. It used by the owner. Guest generally envoy the reality of the typical atmosphere. This explains why it is more personalized than “hotel like “ apts. We will see if the owner can store away more personal items. We apologize for the issues with the cutlery, broken fridge door, and shower. Had you told us during your stay we would have gladly asked the cleaning and maintenance company to send back someone to take care of those problems. We will ensure that our cleaning and maintenance teams are made aware of these concerns to prevent similar issues in the future. We also sent a technician to fix these issues of drainage to ensure a comfortable stay for future guests. As far as the Kitchen Leak, these things happen. The leak in the apt above was fixed. Unfortunalely the drying time is long. It is planned to being repainted as soon as fully dry. Our Self Key Pickup process is generally praised by our guests. Instructions are very detailed to limit hazard. It allows them to check in or out even at night time if needed and avoids unnecessary wait if a plane is delayed and so on. We are also always reachable by phone if any help is needed. That said, we understand some guests would prefer a physical check in. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we appreciate your comments about the excellent location. We will do our best to address these issues to ensure a better experience for future guests. Most Parisian buildings are centuries old and not very soundproof. Regarding the check-in process, we’re sorry for any inconvenience caused by the lack of early check-in and luggage storage. We do our best to accommodate guests’ needs, but sometimes scheduling can be tight. We gladly offer early check in or luggage storage whenever possible. We also understand that the key pick-up/drop-off process can seem a bit unusual. Let us precise that the key location is 200 meters away from the apartment and that we do advise to leave one of the party members to wait in front of the apartment building with luggage while another goes to pick up the key. Lastly, we apologize if the check-in instructions felt overly detailed or condescending. Our intention is to ensure guests are comfortable and aware of the apartment’s guidelines, but we understand that it’s important to strike the right tone. We sent the cleaning team for a full maintenance. Actually the owner had stayed a long period and did not clean perfectly. She is an ederly lady and missed some issue. We talked with her and agreed that we would do a deep clean after each of her stay. We hope our next guest will notice the difference.
