A Great home away from home

Completely Relaxing Experience Wonderful Home

Gina was wonderful! Everything went smoothly from checkin to check out. Stayed two days…pictures are accurate and the home is as beautiful as it looks online! The location is amazing and so much thoughtfulness put in by Gina so many extra touches. Really enjoyed our family time and would 100% stay again. Thanks Gina!

Great location!

Very clean and decorated with love. Owner is very responsive to texts. not suitable for children, too many breakables! Close to anything you’d want.

Loved my stay the house is warm and inviting you can feel the peace its so warm, clean and everything was provided. OMG! can't wait to come back, close to all stores and Stewart beach a short 5 minute drive..just awesome..

Great experience

Our dog and us fell immediately at home in this cozy house. Gina was very responsive and answered our questions (by text) immediately. Quiet neighborhood with beautiful gardens, it was a pleasure to walk the dog in the morning. Close to restaurants and historical attractions. Very enjoyable stay

Home away from home

We loved our recent trip to Galveston and the home we stayed in really contributed to that enjoyment. It felt more like we were staying at a friend's (beautiful) house than we were renting a place. Definitely much more enjoyable than a hotel room. This place is lovely and cosy. We will definitely want to stay here again!

Visually beautiful but lacking of amenities

Pro-The place is beautiful to look at and kitchen was well equiped Cons-water line broken under house leaving a bad smell, the place is not pet friendly, dogs have plenty of places to get out. cable not working, Grouchy and nosy neighbors. The place stated sleeps 6 people can sleep comfortably, only 2 beds available , my daughter had to sleep on the sofa, and washer didn't work. Would not revisit this home.

It was a nice decoreated little house, but when we arrived in the middle of July the temperature was on 85. It took until way in the night to cool the house. There is a picture of a Jacuzzi but it looked like it hasn't been used in years. The washing machine was not working. Not anyone's fought but the electricity went off the second day and that was it we left. Not knowing how long the electricity would be off and house was getting hot again. I hate to give bad reviews but I wouldn't stay here again. Not kid friendly more of a couple get away place. We did expect Wifi but should have did more research because didn't realize until we were there it wasn't available.

Old and dirty

The house is old and in need of many repairs. The shower in the bathroom is disgusting with paint peeling, stains, and the paneling falling off the wall. The home is pet friendly and it shows. The couch and chair are covered in dog hair. The pillow on the bed had huge chunks of dog hair stuck on the outside and even inside the pillowcase. There were clumps of dog hair laying around on the floor in several places. There is a hole in the front porch and the knobs on tops of the front porch stairwell are broken and fell off. The gutters on the garage are falling off. The pillows on the bed are yellowing and stained. The home is definitely not kid friendly, at least not young kids, as there was stuff (vases, knick knacks, etc) on top of stuff. Even more than what shows in the pictures. I was a wreck trying to protect everything from my two kids. We were told that we couldn’t get into the house early due to cleaning, but I’m not sure what was cleaned. Aside from the dog hair, the shower curtain had two large clumps of sand stuck on it (that could’ve been cleaned off with a good cleaning). The stove had crumbs all over it and the kitchen drawers had crumbs and stains inside of them. Thankfully, we were only at the house long enough to sleep and eat breakfast really. I thanked Gina for sharing her home; however I feel that if you’re opening your home to families spending GOOD money, it should be clean and well kept.

Cozy and welcoming

Not too impressed

My wife and i sayed here with another couple, and were not impressed. The 1 toilet has a tendency to clog and overflow, the front door and lock is not easy to use, there are broken boards on the patio (with an exposed rusty nail), the light fixture in the bathroom only has 1 working light oh and the icing on the cake it has cockroaches living in the kitchen. The location is convenient, but the place needs some real TCL and less things to hide the problems just to make it look pretty! The house and surroundings were very warming and inviting!!

The island was amazing we loved al the history that it offered along with all the memories we made! It's a definite do over!! Kid friends and definitely can hit the romantic button if it's just you and your other half!

Chic Girlfriend Getaway

A childhood friend and I met up here to stay for a couple of nights. We loved the location; so close to the Beach, Seawall, and the Strand, and many restaurants and bars. The bungalow was so beautifully decorated and offered plenty of space for the two of us. We both loved the beds; they were heavenly. We enjoyed coffee and wine on the front porch and loved that we could cook in or go out to eat. It was a great retreat and we look forward to going back again.

Beautiful quaint Cottage!!!!!!

My wife and I stayed only a couple days.Very beautiful beds and spectacularly clean wood floors.The house was amazingly clean.The kitchen spacious,My wife stated she would like at her house.The washer and dryer.Could use an upgrade.Other than ,that looked spectacular.The beach was relatively close.Was interested in Jacuzzi out back.Just concerned about mosquitos.Very nice neighborhood.I would stay again.We even our 2dogs with us.They enjoyed the yard.Must stay again.Very beautiful cottage..

Charming Home Away from Home

Just returned from this property and I must say it absolutely exceeded our expectations. From the moment you walk in it is bright, cheery, welcoming and invites you to relax. It feels very much like a home away from home vs. a vacation rental as it was decorated and appointed so well. It was close and convenient to everything. The neighborhood charming and quiet. I would strongly recommend this property and we plan to return soon.
