Location was perfect! Easy walk to the beach and any and all shops, restaurants. Condo itself was spacious and clean, had every thing needed. Only thing that could be added to make stay better is if the condo had beach chairs could take to the beach. Other than that every thing was perfect. Will stay again for sure.

Great Spot Near Beach & Town

This is a great home base for a vacation stay in Playa del Carmen. You're steps away from the beach, 5th ave, and a lot of great spots for food and drinks are right on the same block.

Great location!

When you are in Playa del Carmen good location is a must and this is a great location! Close to the restaurants and shops and more importantly the beach!! Clean and spacious condo, easy communication with the host, my family and I really enjoyed evenings on the private rooftop!!

May at Aldea Thai

Overall it was a nice stay, we travel to PDC very often. The property needs some TLC. The toilets have a hard time flushing, the beds are extra firm, and there are multiple tiles missing from pool. The apartment itself is decent and the location is awesome. Communication with the agent and staff was spot on.

Great weekend getaway

Came here with a handful of girlfriends. Was perfect location to shops and restaurants on 5th avenue. Rooftop plunge pool was great to hang around and have our own space when we wanted. Lots of kitchen amenities and utensils. Would definitely stay here again.

Great stay

The condo was perfect for our group of four. We enjoyed the convenient location in downtown Playa. We did run into complications on our 2nd night where the whole block lost power. This led us to finding a close alternative hotel for the night. The host was responsive with the problem and offered a discount on our stay, which was very accommodating. Altogether, it’s a wonderful option for downtown Playa Del Carmen.

Great Property

The property was outstanding. The interior was clean and in good shape and had all of the necessary supplies you needed. The roof deck was phenomenal. The picture don't capture how large it is. The property was great too. It was in a great location, updated and the common pool was amazing.

Overall, a Solid Experience

Overall, property was fine. Location was excellent, amenities were good, this particular condo was a bit "tired" (as was the overall complex) and worn, but not bad. The property manager was a bit slow but still helpful. Not sure I would rent this unit again as it was a bit too worn, but I did really enjoy my experience overall.

Rent this Fabulous Unit!

This condo was absolutely beautiful. The beach front location is fabulous and the unit was very well equiped. There is not one detail that was missing. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this unit (it was my second time). I would definitely return. Everything was outstanding. The listing was accuate regarding the location. The property was clean and well-maintained. It is nearby to all Playa festivities and there is easy access to the airport.

3 Bedroom in Playa

It was very good - but there was a lot of sewer gas smell from the bathrooms... so it was a constant challenge to get fresh air. We did just about everything to fix - to no avail. This (Sewer Gas) is an issue in a few places we've stayed. Besides that it was great.

Good location but in need of TLC

This condo was in good location but it needs some TLC. Condo is in need of some TLC. Sofa worn out, bathroom hooks not able to use, tv in primary needs hung on wall. Can’t see it from bed cause it’s sitting down on bench seat. Deck boards on roof in major need of repair. We didn’t have water almost every morning but that was more Aldea Thai than this condos fault. We’ve stayed at Aldea Thai property for the last 5 years and I’m not sure I’d stay at this condo again unless it gets a little makeover.

Potentially a wonderful property but the condo we stayed is lacking maintenance to get it there.

Disappointed that so many little things are not working properly. The Stove, microwave, thermostats, to name a few. The pool water was green when we left, it’s all in the details

Sadly we did not have a good experience

There was a huge problem with the condo it got flooded. We couldnt use the private pool since there is a huge construction right beside it, its true that we were informed but it was late in the year and after we had paid for the condo so we had no option. The construction woke us up everyday at 6am. Besides all this the location is good and the amenities as well.

We recently stayed in an apartment in Playa del Carmen and had a mixed experience. The apartment itself was very nice—clean, tidy, and well located, with easy access to town and amenities. It offered a comfortable place to relax after long days out, and we appreciated the effort put into maintaining the unit itself.However, our overall experience at the resort complex was disappointing. Unfortunately, due to excessive sargassum (seaweed), we weren’t able to enjoy the beach at all, which was a major reason for choosing a summer getaway in this location. As a result, we spent a significant amount of additional money to access beach clubs, visit Xcaret, and take a trip to Cozumel in order to enjoy the sun and sea.The resort itself is in desperate need of maintenance and renovation. Paint is peeling everywhere, tiles are cracked or broken, and wood structures are warped or rotting. The concept of the resort—especially the rooftop pool and entertainment area—is fantastic in theory, but it’s clear that it has not been maintained to match its potential. Sadly, it now feels outdated and run-down in comparison to newer, modern alternatives.Despite these challenges, we still managed to enjoy our vacation by exploring the surrounding area and making the best of our time. That said, we will definitely be checking the seaweed (sargassum) season more carefully before booking our next summer trip.

Needs some maintenance

The only thing I was disappointed in was the pool had multiple tiles missing which could cause injury if walking around in the pool. Also the patio table had broken tiles. One of the lounge chairs had a big rip in the seat. There needs to be better lighting over the lock box so you can see the numbers to get the key out. The sink in the hall area leaked under the cabinet. Some maintenance on the shower door like the rubber stripping. Otherwise everything else was fine

Great Place with amazing location!

We recently stayed at this condo over spring break with our family and were absolutely delighted by the experience. The condo itself is not only very nice but also incredibly spacious, easily accommodating our family and making us feel at home. One of the highlights was the pool and deck located above the condo, which provided a wonderful private space for relaxation and family fun. The location of the condo is unbeatable. It’s a mere 30-second walk to the beach, making it effortless to go back and forth throughout the day. Whether we wanted to catch the sunrise, enjoy a quick swim, or watch the sunset, the beach was always just a moment away. Additionally, the main shopping area is within a 2-minute walk. This area is bustling with life, offering an array of bars, shops, and restaurants. We were spoilt for choice when it came to dining and shopping, and the convenience of having everything so close was a huge plus. The area felt safe, welcoming, and perfectly suited for families looking to enjoy both the tranquility of the beach and the vibrancy of the local community. Our stay was nothing short of wonderful, and we highly recommend this place to any family looking for a memorable and enjoyable beach getaway. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Beautiful place, wonderful location, just minor adjustments

This was my second time staying at Aldea Thai. I booked a different room the first time and absolutely loved it, with no problems. So for my second trip, I knew I wanted to stay at Aldea Thai again. The location is safe and close to all the great restaurants, beaches and nightlife. The only issues I had was the smell coming from the master bedrooms toilet. I had management come check it out and tend to the issue but the smell never went away. In addition to that, every time we walked into the resort, the doormen loved giving my friends a hard time. For some reason the young kid at the front always had an issue with us, especially when I asked for advice or directions. In addition the host was very nice, but when I asked for assistance or reservations (like she advised I do), I would not receive a response until the next day. Other then that, I really loved this resort.
