I chose this home because of its convenient location for guests visiting the Mayo Clinic. Since the platform asked me to select a neighborhood, I simply chose this one—because it truly works well for most guests coming to Mayo for treatment, checkups, or to accompany a loved one. It’s about a 15-minute walk to Mayo’s and to St. Mary’s Hospital, or just about a 5-minute drive.
The home is also close to a quiet neighborhood park and a shopping area. Guests can easily take a walk, grab groceries, or simply relax nearby.
One of the things I especially like about this house is the layout. The main floor includes three bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen, and a living room, with all living spaces located on the main level. Getting into the house only requires stepping up one or two small steps, which makes it convenient and safe.
The home also has a fully fenced backyard, which is very practical for guests traveling with pets — they can safely enjoy the outdoors. Although the yard doesn’t have a deck, there’s a small area near the garage where guests can sit and relax, get some fresh air, or walk their dogs. It’s a simple but useful space.
What I feel most grateful for is having such kind and thoughtful neighbors — Becky and Paul. They often help me mow the lawn, take out the trash, and occasionally keep an eye on the house when I’m away. Becky even bakes delicious treats to share with the neighborhood. Their warmth and generosity are part of what makes this community so special to me.
