Studio by the Sound is your cozy hideaway near Puget Sound. This private, pet-friendly suite (downstairs in our home) is thoughtfully designed for comfort and ease. Unwind in a dreamy king bed, stream your favorites on the smart TV, or grill and gather by the fire pit under the stars. Includes fast Wi-Fi, kitchenette, and self check-in for a relaxing stay.

You may hear light footsteps or paw-steps above — we live upstairs with our dog and cat, but we respect quiet hours and your privacy. You’ll find a QR code on the dining table with handpicked local recs for food, coffee, parks, and more.

Guest access
You’ll have exclusive access to the downstairs studio, including a private entrance around the back of the house via a set of outdoor stairs (steps are slightly narrow — please take care). You’ll also have a private bathroom and kitchenette, plus shared access to the backyard with the fire pit and grill — though we won’t use it while you’re here.

Free parking is available on the side of the house. Check-in is fully self-service with a smart lock (your code will be sent automatically upon booking confirmation and before arrival).
Other things to note
• Check-in is after 3pm and check-out is by 11am; we’re happy to offer flexibility when possible.
• Quiet hours are 11pm–7am.
• No parties or unregistered guests.
• Strong Wi-Fi throughout the space; Wi-Fi calling is a good backup if you have Verizon like us.
• The water may take a moment to warm up due to the tankless heater.
• Our home is on a well-traveled road with street lights but no traffic lights; guest entry and parking are on a quiet side street.
• Pet bowls, help with the grill, EV charging, and a bundle of firewood are available upon request.

the property was exactly what they had presented online and really clean, the bed was very comfortable and all in all the property was amazing for a quick stay and I would definitely stay again!

A true a i r b n b, basement apartment of the hosts home but I had a wonderful stay. Everything was clean and there were several touches like umbrellas and a pickleball set provided by the host that were nice! Short drive to the nearest link station to get into the city and explore Seattle.

This place was very clean, well equipped for our minimal needs, and a great location as it was around the block from our son and his family. Our only challenge was there was not a kitchen sink so filling the kerug with the bathroom sink was a bit awkward-but it works?

We have only positive things to say about our stay. The place is lovely, very clean, safe and has easy parking. Our host was quickly responsive and helpful. I love to walk and the neighborhood was perfect with a Diva Espresso less than a mile away.

Tracy is communicative, a great host, and it was a super clean, comfortable, and easy stay. The amenities provided were thoughtful and made us feel very welcomed. The location is close to the highway to get you downtown in about 20 mins and close to other attractions north of the city.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience! Tracy was simply phenomenal—super quick to answer all my questions and incredibly accommodating. Our stay was delightful; the place was spotless and just perfect for my husband and me. Plus, we were ideally located to explore all the amazing attractions Seattle has to offer. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

First off, Tracy is awesome. She is very communicative and accommodating. Secondly, the space was so clean and neat. It’s, in my opinion, better than the listing described. We had our toddler with us so we had to move a few items to where she couldn’t reach to ensure she wouldn’t break them. So overall, a very kid-friendly space but it’s also perfect for couples. Finding the space and parking was so easy. The neighborhood is so calm, quiet and beautiful. Our daughter was so happy to see their cat at the window facing our parking as we left. Overall, we loved staying here and would definitely stay again. Thank you, Tracy!

Traci was a wonderful host and communicator, from our first inquiry about her home throughout our entire stay, and her studio was a great home base for our family of three. While I looked to her for a couple recommendations before and during our stay, I especially appreciated Traci’s transparency when we were first looking to book, being candid about the sleeper sofa and potential concern for my son in getting a good night’s sleep. We took a chance and it ended up being just fine for him (slim and nearly 6’ tall). The king bed was SUPER comfortable for my spouse and me. The unit was extremely clean and nicely decorated, with several QR codes to aid in quick WiFi setup, dining recommendations, and other helpful info. We were welcomed with a few snacks and Keurig coffee cups, too. While on a busy road, we heard very little if any road noise, and only the occasional paw-patter overhead. The location was awesome - never more than 20-25 min for us to get where we needed. I don’t know that we realized at the time of booking the studio is subterranean - probably a miss on our part. It was not an issue for my son or me, but my spouse commented a couple times about staying in a basement, for anyone who may care, and there was still natural light coming in from overhead. The space was thoughtfully designed & appointed, and there were even extras in the bathroom such as hairspray, floss, etc. All in all a very nice stay for us, and one we’d highly recommend.

This was the perfect home base for a pre-cruise stay for my party of 2. Tracy was a fantastic host & kept me updated with any information needed prior to arrival. Quiet neighborhood, easy parking, & only 20-25 minutes from downtown. The studio offered many amenities such as WiFi/games/kitchen supplies. It is a beautiful & relaxing space. My daughter enjoyed watching her cat in the window when we’d leave. I’d definitely return here if in Seattle again.

Nestled in Seattle’s Broadview neighborhood, our home offers a peaceful, residential setting known for its lush greenery and panoramic views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. The area features spacious lots, mature trees, and a variety of architectural styles, providing a suburban feel within the city. Broadview is also home to community gems like the historic Dunn Gardens and the serene Llandover Woods Greenspace, perfect for leisurely strolls and nature appreciation.

Broadview lives up to its name with stunning vistas of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. Just a short walk from our home, you can enjoy these breathtaking views, especially during sunset. For a more immersive experience, Carkeek Park is a 5-minute drive away, offering wooded trails and a pedestrian bridge that leads to a quiet beach — our favorite nearby spot to watch the sunset by the water.
