Thank you for sharing this feedback. We’re very sorry your stay fell short of expectations. We take reports of mold, pests, cleanliness, and safety issues seriously. I will forward your comments to the owner, housekeeping, maintenance, and pest-control team for immediate inspection and remediation — including the vents, furniture, shower curtain, deadbolt, screens, windows, and floors. We’ll also follow up with a re-clean and any needed repairs/replacements. Please message us through your Vrbo reservation with any photos or additional details from your stay so we can document everything and investigate further. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

Thanks for your review! We hope you'll come back and rent with us again!

THank you for your review, Cindi! It's such a great location. We hope you come back and stay again!

Thanks for your review, Stephanie! We love hearing our guests enjoyed their time on the island. We hope to be able to host you again!

Thanks for your review, Ann! I will make sure that the parking restrictions are made clear in the listing. I'm sure the smoking was obnoxious, and I apologize that there is not much we as the property mangers can do as far as enforcing the HOA/POA rules with other renters. I do hope this didn't take away from your enjoyment too much and that you will consider renting with us again.

Thank you for your feedback, we have addressed these issues with our customer service team and made a change in cleaning companies due to this review.

Thank you for your feedback, we reached out to the cleaning company and have addressed the issue. We called for an after hours clean and for some reason it was definitely missed.

Diane, from what I can gather in your review, what locals and visitors alike see as a beautiful vacation spot might not be for you. We do take care of the area and yard crews are out daily. This is also an incredibly popular golf destination for, what I’m sure, are golfers with various political opinions. It seems a bit unfair to group an entire island’s population into one stereotype but so be it. We will continue to appreciate our surroundings and take care of our piece of paradise for those visitors that love it and find it to be a safe haven for vacations. I hope the storms did not damage your home or town.

Thank you for your feedback and for choosing Island Rentals of Hilton Head. We’re glad you enjoyed the area and that the bikes made getting around easy. I’m sorry about the front door latch and the concern with your dog — we’ll have our maintenance team inspect and repair or replace the latch to ensure it secures properly. We appreciate you letting us know and hope to welcome you back.

Thanks for the great review! Glad the villa was adorable, functional, and that the washer/dryer placement, master shower, and tub worked well for your family. I’m sorry about the floors—thanks for letting us know; we’ve passed your feedback to housekeeping so they can address it. Happy you enjoyed the walking path, bike time, and that the pool and quiet setting were highlights. We’d love to host you again.
