This home and property are absolutely lovely. The host, Chris, provided us with a great guide for the home and things to do in the area which was greatly appreciated. The staff took great care of the home while there, and were very friendly and approachable. The layout of the property allows for both congregation and separation for larger groups, which we all really appreciated. The location is perfect too, as it's close enough to downtown to take a golf cart to just about everything you'd imagine, while also be separated in a quiter community. We were very happy with our stay and would gladly refer anyone we know to stay here.

Amazing and exceeded expectations!

There were a total of 12 - (4 couples with each of their teenage son’s) and it was simply amazing! Villa was gorgeous, location was perfect & staff were so helpful. This was our boys Senior spring break trip and we had a wonderful time. The close proximity to town made it great to take a golf cart and provided boys freedom to explore. Having the beach there on property was perfect for our entire group to relax between scheduled outings. We all wanted to stay and not leave! It was a perfect vacation!

The property is absolutely beautiful and the staff is incredible!! The housekeeper, the groundskeeper, the security guard and the host are some of the most gracious, kind and considerate people that I have ever met! We loved our time in Tamarindo and this beautiful home! And the howler monkeys across the street were a fun bonus!!

Best Vacation rental we’ve ever stayed at

Beautiful, just like the pictures. Maid service was excellent. Walking distance to town. Private security. Overall exceeded expectations. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Friends trip

Amazing house! Everything was as they had posted in description. Great location. Highly recommend renting the golf carts…easy to get around with them. Says walking distance to restaurants/bars and shops which would be doable…..but with the heat and the amount we went down there was so happy we decided to rent them. Lots of space for 10 adults. The only somewhat complaint would be the coffee pot.. as it took 1/2 hr to brew a pot of coffee. But that being said it got us out and about and we found some pretty neat little coffee shops. Amazing place… would stay here again in a heart beat!

Exceeded my expectations. Pictures sometimes are deceiving. But this property is epic.it exceeded my expectations. Every three years I take my family (kids and grandkids) This year I picked Costa Rica and everyone had a very enjoyable time. The on site staff were wonderful and accommodations were fantastic. Fantastic

The house is great and as advertised. Maria and Susanne were fantastic to work with, very responsive, and happy to give us plenty of activity ideas. It is on the beach even if you can’t tell from the pictures. The location is great also. Maybe a 5 min drive from downtown Tamarindo, it’s quiet - but close to everything.

Amazing Property and Staff

The property and staff exceeded our expectations. The home was beautiful and had everything we needed for our family vacation. This is a boutique hotel experience with a home feeling. Anything we needed, Susanna was quick to respond and help us. Clean, organized and luxury Costa Rica living! A short walk to restaurants, beach, or bars. This house is perfect and our family already wants to plan our next vacation.

Wonderful Stay

Just got home from great stay at Casa de Las Torgugas. What a beautiful house and property! Maria was so helpful as the concierge. Bertha and Jose were also great! The nightly guard was much appreciated although we felt very safe. The property was well-maintained, and the house was spotless. Lots of excellent restaurants with just a short golf cart ride. No car needed.

We rented this property with a group of friends for our wedding. Location was perfect- quiet neighborhood right on the beach and minutes from town. House and grounds were stunning. House staff were helpful and friendly. Owner was not especially friendly to deal with. Perfect place to hold an event and stay with a group.

Incredible place in a fantastic location!!!

Yes, Casa de Tortugas is worth 3 exclamation points!!! Our group was 2 families and the home layout was great. Suzanne, the concierge, was exceptionally helpful and went out of her way to make sure that all of our needs (excursions, activities, etc.) were met (exceeded really). If you're thinking about booking this house, hit the button NOW. You won't be dissapointed.

Family Vacation

Overall, we had a great experience at this home and in Costa Rica. The house managers were very helpful in helping to arrange activities in advance of arriving and were always available for questions once we arrived. The only thing that we did not realize until we got there was that two of the rooms were not attached to the house and this made the sleeping arrangements more difficult to figure out since we had young kids that were all sharing a room.

Absolutely Perfect!!

Our family (6 adults and 3 young children) just returned from a stay at Casa de las Tortugas. The stay at this breathtaking property absolutely exceeded all of our expectations. Communication prior to check-in with Diana was seamless and she had everything perfectly prepared for our arrival. The staff at the house (Dixiana and Audi) went above and beyond to make sure we were well cared for. We had dinner prepared in house by the incredible Chef Sol and this is a CANT MISS during your stay - incredible food and company from being to end. We cannot recommend a stay here enough, we would go back with absolutely no hesitation. Incredible!

Perfect Multi Family Home

Perfect home and location for a relaxing vacation with teenagers (if there is such a thing!). The location of the home was ideal-far enough from Tamarindo to have a quiet private beach and close enough that we could get there quickly for dinners or a night out! We traveled with 4 teenage boys who said it was the best spring break they’ve had. The staff at the house was so helpful-from dinner reservations and help planning drivers and excisions to keeping the house tidy and us safe, they didn’t miss a thing! One thing I would point out is that 2 of the bedrooms (pool room and casita) are not accessible from the main house so they wouldn’t be ideal for young children. However, for teens or older couples it was perfect! Highly recommend booking here! We can’t wait to come back!

The house staff was amazing, and so attentive, and we were so glad to have hired Sol. She made all the difference in the world, especially having young children that we didn't have to drag them out to dinner each night. Plus, her food was so much better than even the nice restaurants in town. Any questions we had the house managers addressed and went above and beyond to help, outside of their job descriptions. The house layout worked perfectly. So close to the tide pools. We would hit the Tamarindo beach in the am before it got too hot, then back after lunch to snorkel and swim. It really all worked out wonderfully.

Great place

We stayed here with our family for our wedding. The house was recommended to us by our wedding planner and it was absolutely perfect for our needs. We felt like we were staying in our own private hotel. Each couple had plenty of privacy and luxious accomadations. Location is fantastic- secluded and safe yet close to everything you want to do on the beach and in Tamarindo. Susanne did set up a private chef after the guys went deep sea fishing and caught a Durado. The chef she set up for us was amazing and made the fish taste wonderful. We held our wedding ceremony on the beach (Cala Luna Point, about a three minute walk from the house) and our weddign reception in the yard at the house. It was a small wedding so the location and atmosphere created by Casa de las Tortugas was fantastic! I would highly recommend it.

Outstanding. Just OUTSTANDING!

We had an incredible time at Playa Langosta. The property is in the perfect location, close, yet not on top of town. It is located right on the beach just as stated. The house staff are truly amazing. They were helpful, engaging, and always present when needed. My only encouragement would be to update the kitchen. We LOVE to cook and bake, as well as make drinks. The appliances and pots/pans and serving equipment was either outdated, missing (no cookie sheets and only one serving tray), or not working well (blender). Other than that small piece of feedback, everything was perfect. Cheers, nick & family

GORGEOUS!!

The house and grounds were gorgeous and all that it said it was and more! We had four adults and three kids. There was more than enough room for everyone to sleep and lounge. We had delicious dinners made by Sol as well close proximity to town. The waves hitting the rocks at high tide was personally my favorite. My girls favorite was seeing Luigi, the estate iguana, and feeding him fruit as well as going to find the hermit crabs at night. Just walk to the sand and they’re everywhere! I really wasn’t sure how much fun my girls would have, but they truly enjoyed it all. This is the perfect place for a family or to a group just wanting to relax. Highly recommend hiring Sol or even going to her B&B that’s a few doors down for breakfast. It was delicious! Concierge service knows it all and can point you to anything you want to do or see.

Born and raised in Columbia Missouri, my husband Dan and I still reside in our hometown where we met at 18 years old. We have two children, also raised in Columbia that are now grown and independent.
We have owned vacation properties in not only Costa Rica but Florida and Crested Butte Colorado.

In 2003- Hearing how wonderful Costa Rica was, Dan and I took a trip down to Central America to see what the talk was all about. We fell in love with the beautiful land and the laid back vibe and gracious locals.
We chose our first home on Playa Langosta to be a beachfront 2 bedroom condo. After nearly a decade of owning we realized our love grew even more for the country and Playa Langosta so we purchased Las Tortugas in 2013. Instantly when walking through the house We knew it was the one....Love at first site.
I never understood the importance of feng-Shui until I entered Casa de las Tortugas.
(feng means "wind" and shui means "water." In Chinese culture, wind and water are associated with good health, thus good feng shui came to mean good fortune)

Casa de las Tortugas has a simple elegance that you instantly see when you drive through the front gates. The house has a large living area that opens up on to a large Lanai that allows you to hear the soothing rhythmic sounds of the ocean. The living area was designed to be open air if desired. Between the Ocean sounds and the gentle breezes, Tortugas will calm your worries away.
We loved the fact that the house had two story wings on each side of the house that jetted off towards the ocean. Each wing had bedrooms overlooking the ocean which makes you feel as if it's your private villa off of the main house. Touring up and down the coast we understand how hard it is to find 6 suites where 5 of them are Full Oceanfront Masters.
Playa (beach) Langosta is literally our backyard and most all of the time it's as if no one knows about it but you.
