Guest should definately not rent the 3rd floor units if they have mobility issues as there are not elevators on the resort. The plus side, however, is that the 3rd floor units are definately the quietest, there being no neighbors above you. Guests are always given a welcome email with important check-in information and important information for their stay. this includes phone numbers for maintenance , the owners, and who to call if they would like the thermostat adjusted or have any other issues. Maintenance is always on the premises and can respond within minutes to within the hour. Thermostat control is very important due to the Florida climate. Turning the thermostat too low can cause permanent damage to the air conditioner units. For this reason the thermostats are set at a neutral temperature, ceiling fans are also available and maintenance can be called to make any adjustments in case of unusual weather. We always invite our guests to call us on our personal phones for any problems. This gives our guests a personal edge. Incidentally once we were informed of the problem, maintenance was contacted and was able to respond within minutes after admittedly going first to the wrong unit! Once we received call that they had not yet arrived, they went to the correct unit within 5 minutes of being made aware of their mistake. Oops! ....Again always feel free to call us, the private owners (not the front desk) right away for any problems.

Dear Polly I was puzzled and chagrined to hear these complaints a week after your 2 week stay at our condo. You have expressed that the Wyndham Bahama Bay staff made a mistake and gave another guest your condo by mistake. They admitted their mistake both to you and to us. We immediately sought to rectify their admitted mistake by rallying our cleaning staff and everyone we could (at our expense) to place you in our other condo of the same design. They, however, offered nothing to rectify their mistake. I am also puzzled that our condo's which were previously highly rated before and after your stay suddenly developed these filthy conditions that, despite our many conversations, apparently escaped your attention during your 2 weeks of stay. I do distinctly recall a subtle hint of forthcoming consequences if certain conditions were not met. Perhaps it was here when the communications became sub par and also here that the enhanced recall of the filthy conditions of both condos occured. This confusion sometimes occurs over time. However, I would like to assure you and future guests that the condos apparantly have been magically restored. The guest who arrived the next day upon your departure from the first floor condo gave the condo a 5 star rating. What a MIRACLE!
