This house was fine, but it needs some TLC. Note that the house is only 1 & 1/2 baths, not 2 as listed.

Unfortunately, the house was very old doors didn’t work cabinet door in the kitchen was completely broken and off one of the hinges. Carpet was extremely uncomfortable. No padding just felt like a cheap Motel really the plus to it was comfortable couch and comfortable mattress host stated that they had cable they did not. The cable box was so old and no channels were showing.

We just had a one-night stay. The house was a good fit for us with two couples and a 7 year old. It is within easy walking distance to Manzanita's downtown. One issue is it was difficult to start a fire in the wood stove without some type of kindling and paper.

Thank you for the review and for choosing Meredith Lodging. We're glad the house was a good fit for your group and that you enjoyed the easy walk to main street Manzanita. We're sorry the lack of kindling affected your stay — we'll clarify our guest instructions ahead of arrival so that guests know to bring their own kindling and wood if they wish to use the stove. Please accept our sincerest apologies for the confusion. If there’s anything else we could have done to earn five stars, please message us through the Vrbo app — we’d really appreciate the feedback. We hope you visit us again soon!

The house is ideally situated in a quiet area of Manzanita, opposite a woodland, 2 blocks from the beach and a very short walk to the main shops. It was perfect for our 3 night stay with 5 adults. There are loads of DVDs, board games and beach toys which we didn't get a chance to use but plenty to keep a family occupied in good or bad weather. The front terrace is a real bous as it catches the sun and is relatively private as there's no house opposite.Things to note: there is no door to the upstairs bedroom, so no lie-ins for those sleeping there once others are up and using the kitchen! Although there are ample dining chairs, the comfortable seating in the living room is limited to a 3 person sofa and an armchair.

Thank you for the review and for choosing Meredith Lodging. We're glad the location worked well for your stay and that you enjoyed the sunny front terrace and the selection of DVDs, games, and beach toys. Thank you for noting the upstairs bedroom has no door and that living room seating is limited; we appreciate that feedback and will look into ways to improve privacy and comfort. We really appreciate the feedback and hope to welcome you back soon!

Great Location in Manzanita

We had a great stay at this property in Manzanita! The location is wonderful, just a few minutes walk from the beach. It's also great if you have young kids along due to the easy walk to the park that is just down the street. The house was a little dated and a lot of things were dusty, but it was comfortable and the perfect size for our group.

The cottage is just 1.5 blocks to easy access to the beach. It is in a quiet location. The furnishings made it very comfortable. The kitchen is bright and airy with a skylight. The kitchen equipment is up-to-date and in good working order. There is no air conditioning, which is probably the norm for most of the older vacation homes in the area. The cottage is a short walk to Manzanita, which is a small, quiet and relaxing town with several good restaurants. On the negative side, The shower and bathtub are one unit. It is necessary to step over the rim of the tub. If you have mobility issues, this could be a problem because there are no grab or safety bars in the shower. There was no hairdryer.

Thank you for the 5-star review! We're glad the short walk to the beach, quiet location, furnishings and kitchen were highlights for you. Manzanita really is a lovely spot for a relaxing meal or stroll. We appreciate you pointing out the lack of hairdryer, we will have our housekeeping team replace it. And I'm sorry the tub gave you trouble, we've worked hard to show the set up in the listing photos, but we'll absolutely see what we can do to reflect that more clearly for future guests. Thank you for choosing Meredith Lodging—we hope to welcome you back.

The perfect weekend getaway. The playground is right across the street, beach access is just a few minutes away and the area is super quiet. They even have some great toys for little travelers (18months). Just don’t forget to bring your own hairdryer. We enjoyed our stay and would come back.

Manzanita Bungalow

Our overall impression was positive, however, there was only one full bathroom, the place is a big dark and the micro didn't work. It was great distance to the beach, lovely walking area around the home and fun area to be in. We enjoyed our stay in this cozy little place.
