Stayed here with my husband and two young adult children for a short visit to Chicago. One of the more charming rentals we've stayed on, we loved the decor and nice touches like high quality linens, coffee station, and filtered water. Nice, quiet neighborhood. We only wished it was closer to an L station though we got to know the very closeby 74 bus and used CTA for getting around our entire visit. Enjoyed Omarcito's (practically next door)for an incredible breakfast; also recommend Bixi Beer and Lula's, both in Logan Square.

Apartment was just as stated. Cool old place. Floors squeaked a lot but bathroom had been updated. Parking was difficult but we found a spot not too far. Getting in and out of the apartment was easy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this stylish little home. Space is well maintained and clean. Not as close to shops and restaurants as I had hoped but that is my only negative feedback.

Charming & Comfortable

Perfect place to stay for a fun weekend in Chicago! The decor and overall setup of the space was very trendy, charming, and welcoming! Looks just as the listing describes and photos show. Neighborhood was pretty quiet and easy to find street parking close by. The host was very responsive when we had a question too! Kitchen had everything we needed, plenty of hot water for 5 people to shower, and the beds were firm but comfy! Would just recommend that the top bunk only be for a child or young adult because my friend said that mattress was a bit thin. All the beautiful plants throughout the space were a huge plus!

Loved our stay

We loved our stay at Hamlin house! It’s space is great and feels ver welcoming. The location was great, close to the subway station to go to downtown Chicago and to visit Logan Square. Daniel was very helpful and responsive throughout our stay

First-Time in a Vrbo, Would Do Again

Very nice furnishings, excellent location for dining. The large plants were a nice touch. Beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed. Nice couch in TV area was used often. Sun porch area was a nice little "get-away" within the suite itself. Minor negatives: One of the in-room fans (bedroom off kitchen) didn't work. The AC doesn't get to the bedrooms as well unless doors are left open, so the fans are needed for air circulation. Washcloths had just a bit of detergent build-up odor (which is hard to avoid.)

Excellent flat in Chicago!

Some friends and I had a great stay at this property. Check in and out was easy, there's ample street parking, and the flat itself is lovely with comfy beds and furniture. It's about a 30-min walk to the heart of Logan Square and the El, but numerous restaurants, a great coffee shop (Necessary and Sufficient) and a grocery store are a shorter walk away. Highly recommend!

Fun in Chicago!

Came to celebrate my friend’s 30th. Daniel’s place was splendid! From the decor, beautiful and thriving plants, and the morning light, the vibes were immaculate. The place is in a great location, walkable to Logan Square where there is train access. The place was clean and Daniel was an attentive host with his responsiveness, early check in, coffee bar, and like I said, amazing decor! Thanks Daniel!

Authentic Chicagoan

I lived in Chicago almost 20 years ago. It was so great to stay in a neighborhood like a real Chicagoan and not a tourist. The home was clean and lovely. The neighborhood is great and it's an easy ride to downtown making the stay so easy and fun.

Dan: A proud born a raised Chicagoan who loves all the city has to offer from culture, food, nightlife, activities, events, and it's pure beauty. I'm always looking to learn and share things both new and old and about my home city.

Elizabeth: A native of Michigan, I moved to Chicago for college and never left. Having lived and worked in dozens of neighborhoods, I know the city better than most natives so I'm happy to help direct you to exactly what will be fun for your group ;). As a small business owner, I love supporting local businesses and Logan Square has no shortage of those!

Together: We LOVE to travel, eat, explore and meet new people. Hosting and entertaining is one of our favorite things to do and made renting our space to fellow travelers very appealing. Our goal is to create an experience that we would love and share that with our guests.

We recently bought in one of the most vibrant neighborhoods in the city, Logan Square, and are excited to share recommendations with our visitors. It is a classic Chicago 2 flat that we remodeled to make more contemporary while still retaining the vintage charm. We have a thing for finding unique and vintage pieces and love incorporating them into our interior design.

The entire second-floor apartment is all yours during your stay. There are two entrances to the apartment, the front door, and the back side door. You can also utilize the back yard and patio, though we do live in the unit below so you may see us around and using the back yard as well! :) We do have a washer and dryer on-site, so if you book an extended stay, we can certainly arrange access to the laundry room.
