Golden Strand Unit C3 is a well-maintained oceanfront condo located at milepost 7.5 in Kill Devil Hills. The Golden Strand Condominium complex has long been a popular choice for vacationers, attracting repeat renters year after year. Golden Strand C3 is a top-level end-unit, providing guests with more privacy and maximum ocean views. A large outdoor pool and direct access to the beach means everything you need for a relaxing vacation will be just steps away. Equipped with a living/dining area, full kitchen, two bedrooms and two baths, this condo combines single-family privacy with resort-style amenities. A private oceanfront deck is located just off the great room, where you can watch the sunrise or listen to the waves. A life-guarded beach, kiddie pool, and a playground make Golden Strand ideal for families with children. Additional community features include a BBQ area with park grills and picnic table, two laundry facilities, outdoor showers, and an elevator for easy access to all levels.

Situated in the heart of Kill Devil Hills, Golden Strand Unit C3 is less than a mile from shopping, dining, grocery stores, a movie theater and mini-golf. Grab lunch, dinner or drinks at Goombay's Raw Bar & Grill, just a two-minute walk away. You can also walk or bike to the Wright Brothers National Memorial, where you can climb up to the monument for a panoramic view of Kill Devil Hills.

Excellent ocean front property

Excellent location with convenient access to grocery store and restaurants. Clean space, great view of the ocean. Property is well maintained and the manager is very friendly and radiative

Wonderful view, ok unit

For the most part, we enjoyed our recent stay at The Golden Strand. As a top floor end unit, the views are magnificent, and the condo itself was very clean, which is our top priority. But it had the bare minimum necessities and wasn’t the most comfortable. We were not provided any kitchen towels or pot holders so we had to use our bath linens, which were minimal. The unit could also use another set of utensils and cereal bowls. It would have been nice to have a table on the balcony and comfortable chairs…we used our beach loungers. The sunsets were incredible every single morning we were there and appreciated the shade on the balcony during the afternoon to chill, read, and nap. People in condo below us were stomping and banging furniture all the time so that was annoying. Not the fault of this unit but awareness that it can be noisy even during off season. Overall, an ok unit for the 2 of us but not the most comfortable.

No worth the money

The condo we stayed at was horrible. Very old, with a rusty odor, and dirty. The furniture was very outdated. The kitchen was old and not well equipped, dirty dinnerware, utensils, even some of the silverware was rusty and smelled bad. If you think you can cook a meal for your family, forget it. The beds in the bedrooms were hard and uncomfortable and we woke up with back aches every day. Although this condo has two bathrooms, both of them were gross. The shower curtains were slimy and have mold. Showering in those bathrooms was disgusting. At two different times, we saw what the locals call “water bugs” in the living room, they are about 2.5 in, they came from a hole near the door to the balcony, those bugs scared the heck out of us. Unacceptable. There is only one elevator in this property and it’s located in the complete opposite site to where we were staying. The elevator is old and slow. Many times we chose to take the stairs, about six flats of them, and carrying all the beach stuff, it was not an easy task. Again, unacceptable. At night time, it’s very dark in the building, the lights are very dim. The only new thing in this condo appears to be the carpet in the bedrooms. The only positive thing about this property, it’s the location, being very close to the beach. Other than that, this place is definitely not worth the money we paid for it. Check my google review, I will post some pictures there.
