Without a neighbor in sight, you will enjoy the serenity and tranquility of song birds and sea breezes as you float in the private pool suspended above the lush and fragrant vegetation. A private path leads you past ancient Tamarind trees to your own beach in paradise. Gear is provided to allow you to snorkel the Hansen Bay reef and Pelican Rock right off your beach. There are kayaks on the shore to allow you to explore even further. The drive is a short distance to the famous National Park beaches that abound on island. Hike trails of the Park or walk the country lanes outside your door past abundant flowering trees and palms. This brand new villa is the fantasy of the Architect /Interior Designer owners and comes complete with everything you need to enjoy the island.
All three bedrooms have their own bathrooms and state of the art whisper quiet air conditioning as well as ceiling fans.The great room has four ceiling fans as does the shaded outdoor loggia/living area. Indoor and outdoor dining on multiple levels, outdoor wet bar and outdoor shower adds to the well planned layout. The villa includes internet access with a TV/VCR with an extensive collection of movies, CD/IPOD player and gourmet kitchen that is fully equipted for the most discerning chef. There is also an armoire bursting with games of all sorts and a well curated library to borrow from.


Snorkling and Scuba: The Hideaway's private path leads to a private beach maintained by the Privateer Bay Homeowners Association. Snorkeling consists of a reef along the shore to the SE and the area surrounding Pelican Rock. A short walk or kayak away is Haulover Bay with additional awesome snorkeling on the Francis Drake Channel side. Privateer Bay Beach Association also maintains a beach, over the hill behind the Hideaway on Francis Drake Channel side. Crystal clear waters abound! Snorkeling gear is available at the villa and additional equipment can be rented at Crabby's in Coral Bay. Diving is available in Coral Bay or at Low Key in Cruz Bay. The wreck of the Rhone, the Indians and the caves of Norman Island are a short distance away by boat.

Beaches: Along with the private beach maintained by PBHA at the end of the path from the Hideaway, the kayaks provide access to a myriad of beaches within Coral Bay. Beyond your beach, the closest beaches are Vie’s , Salt Pond, Francis Bay and Maho beach. The North Shore beaches are a short drive away as well…

Dining: On the East End, you have Vie’s Snack Shop and beach 3 minutes away and the renowned Skinny Legs is 8 minutes away. In Coral Bay you will find several choices for dining along with groceries in a well stocked Dolphin Market at Cocolobo complex. Love City Market is also close for bottled water and smaller grocery needs. For additional shopping, you can go into Cruz Bay (20 minute drive 8 miles away) for shopping at Starfish, Dolphin or St. John market for food and beverage provisions, and Mongoose for interesting items. There is a list in the villa with restaurants noted. You might find, after visiting Cruz Bay and stocking up, there is no reason to leave the tranquility of the East End and the Hideaway.
