Leilani, while we appreciate your honest feedback, we would like to help clarify a couple things. For last minute bookings, we do require a face to face meeting for safety/fraud protection. We make this very easy for you by meeting you on-site at your provided time, and is less than 5 minutes. The final credit card charge is part of this fraud-protection, and is immediately REFUNDED after the charge. While our guest experience is centrally located, our company is not out of state. Our employees and maintenance staff is local to Ventura/Oxnard and services the homes daily. We apologize for any of the inconveniences upon check in, and hope that we get the chance to give you a flawless stay in the future.

We want to clarify the timeline regarding the air conditioning, as we always strive to resolve issues immediately. The issue was reported to us on the second day of your stay, but unfortunately, we were not given the opportunity to fix it or send a technician, as we were notified at the same time that you had already left the property. We appreciate you pointing out the quirks of our home, like the light switches and decor. While the house has a vintage charm, we take your comments about updates, window screens, and amenities seriously and are already addressing these details to improve the comfort of future guests.
