Tahoe Charm - Cozy and Comfortable!


Cozy and comfortable updated home in established SLT community. Come and experience all Lake Tahoe has to offer, from hiking, bike riding, picnicking, shopping (yes, lots of shopping!) water sports, winter skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing. Great family fun.

Kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, toaster, coffee maker, utensils, dishes, and glassware. Master bedroom has a queen bed and bedroom #2 has a full and a twin bed. Dining room seats 5.

A large living room window looks out to the back yard and lets in lots of light on those long summer days and crisp winter mornings. Living room has a large screen TV with Roku streaming player.

Fully fenced in back yard.

One well mannered dog considered. No cats or other animals.

We are located near the 'Y' and less than two miles from the lake, three miles from Heavenly Valley, close to a multitude of hiking and biking trails, shopping, nightlife, and restaurants.

Longer stays welcome with agreed upon terms and standard rental agreement. Utilities capped for long/discounted stays.

Perfect for a family getaway

It's just what it looks like, a good location near the 'Y', quiet neighborhood, cozy property with everything you need to cook a monster breakfast. Host is very communicative to make your stay easy.

Anniversary Get Away

We had a wonderful stay at Linda’s cabin. We arrived with Champagne and chocolate cupcakes waiting for us to celebrate or 35th anniversary. Everything was perfect and close to the beaches and hiking trails. We definitely will be back

Second vacation in two years in this great house

We stayed here for two of our vacations these past two years, and had a great and relaxing time during both, thanks in large part to this house. The house is very comfortable and convenient and we loved the recent improvements such as the paving in the driveway. We love the forest like setting and location among other things, and will likely return again.

Peaceful, wonderful stay

We took a short trip with my wife, our two children and dog. Linda's place was well equipped with supplies. Very relaxing and felt like we were at home. So quiet at night. It's nice that restaurants, lake and activities were still near by but still far enough away. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back to Linda's place again. Thank you!

Wonderful Getaway

My family and I just returned from staying here from 7-5-2016 through 7-12-2016. This is a wonderful home in South Lake Tahoe near the Y. We reserved the property many months ago and found communicating with the owner was very easy. Everything went just as explained--from arrival, through our stay, and checking out. I highly recommend working with this owner. The property is comfortable 2 bedroom, 1 bath home as described. It is very comfortable as it feels like you are staying at a friends home. My wife and I have four children ages 10, 6, 4, and 2. We loved this property as it was very child friendly. Everything was nice and clean on the inside, but there were not a bunch of fragile items that we feared would be broken by the children. The TV is set up and linked with Netflix, Hulu, along with a number of DVD's. We didn't need cable, but everything was there for us to have a few movie nights with the kids after long days of hiking with the family. I absolutely love this location. The home is situated away from the crowds of the big tourist areas. From this home you can easily walk to the grocery store about a mile in one direction or to Pope Beach and Fallen Leaf Lake in the other direction. This is a wonderful location. I highly recommend this property and look forward to returning as soon as we are able!

It really is Tahoe Charm

This is a clean and cozy home in the woods. It's located on a quiet, shady street with friendly neighbors. The fenced backyard is great for kids and pets. You can tell the cabin is well-loved by the family who owns it, and you will feel like their welcomed guests.

Great South Lake Tahoe Cabin

We had a wonderful stay in this So. Tahoe Cabin. The kitchen was well equipped (as we like to cook in). It had a great selection of pots and pans/cooking utensils etc. The family room was super comfortable and the selection of movies on Roku was fantastic! The location was very convenient to skiing (we enjoyed Kirkwood and Heavenly) and close to a great gourmet deli (Corks and more) & Raley's grocery store. It was a short drive to all that Stateline has to offer, but far enough away to feel like you are in the country. Thanks for a great stay!

Spotless cottage

Our family had a great time at this sweet, clean cottage. It was in a great location - very close to the woods where we walked every day and a short drive from Stateline, Emerald Bay, and a dog friendly beach. Thinking about making this an annual trip.

Stayed here with my family. Very comfortable , well maintained home with all the required amenities. I will give this home 5 stars for the location. Love this Cabin!

This was my second stay at this wonderful cabin. I love the location, and the cabin's homey feel. It's perfect for singles, couples, small families, and especially anyone traveling with a furry friend. Alas, next year I'll have to choose a different place as this one is already booked for the week of our annual family vacation; but I'm sure I'll be back another time. Highly recommend.

Cute and cozy

The house was perfect for us and our boys ages 6,3 and 2 months! They had toys in the closet which was perfect because I didn't have room to pack any. The neighborhood was very quiet and safe for my jogs during the day! There was no washer and dryer but it was fine for us because we had friends renting down the street

No cable tv a bummer. Roku not user friendly and one needs own acct login. Beds and siting area confortable. Kitchen well stocked. No dishwasher. Good location to south tahoe beaches on CA side. Resturaunts nearby.

Great Little Home

This is our second year staying at this house. My wife and I have four younger children aged 3-11. It is very comfortable for us as a family. The location is my favorite place in all of Tahoe. Fallen Leaf Lake, Pope Beach, Camp Richardson, the grocery story and a number of restaurants are walking distance if you desire to walk. The owner is very easy to work with. We highly recommend this home--and we will definitely come back!

Comfortable cabin tucked on a quiet street!

We had a lovely time staying in this space! The kitchen was well equipped with pots and pans for cooking. The master bed was super comfortable! Our Little One loved exploring the fenced-in back yard with our dog and playing in the front yard watching the squirrels. The roku came in handy for us - our son watched the beginning of a show as we packed the car. Grocery store is just a few minute drive away if you forget anything, and you can walk to a few restaurants! We were sad to leave after a beautiful few days in Tahoe! Easy in and out and Linda has been a delight to work with! We would definitely try to stay here if we come to Tahoe again.

Cozy cabin-close to everything!

We enjoyed everything about our stay at the cabin. Everything was exactly as it was listed in the description. Nothing fancy or big, but the decor was cute and the cabin very cozy. It was perfect for the 4 of us. We found the cabin easily and the walk was shoveled and the heat was on when we arrived during the snow storm. It was a short drive to the main highway where grocery stores, gas and restaurants could be found. We enjoyed dinner at Primo's Italian Restaurant and going to the movies at Heavenly Village. Downhill skiing was less than a 1/2 hour drive to Sierra at Tahoe and cross country skiing at Camp Richardson was only a 10 minute drive from the cabin. Communication with Linda was very easy and she was prompt in responding to my emails. We would definitely like to return for another stay!

Great vacation or holiday getaway place

This little cozy house located very conveniently in quiet cider wood community. It will take you away from busy city streets, every day noises and rush of the big city. It is located only about 1 mile away from Lake Tahoe shore. You practically walk to the lake. The house has 2 bedrooms with very comfy beds, small backyard with wonderful outdoor furniture set, where you can relax and have great time, fully fenced from outside world. There is a parking for at least 2 cars. The kitchen is fully equipped for any occasion. All stores, restaurants and entertainment only short drive away. Evan's American Gourmet Cafe only one block away, you can walk there, and the food, and the service are superb. Linda - the owner of the house is great lady. She answered all my question and helped by providing a lot of useful information about location surrounding the place. My wife and I had great time in this little jewel by the lake.

A great getaway!

Cute and comfy. Great little cabin in a fantastic neighborhood. Super bright and sunny, which is hard to find in Tahoe. Took 3 minutes to drive to the beach, grocery store & restaurants. Linda is great to deal with. Had a great time.

Clean, Quiet, Cozy

I selected this property for the location, which is convenient to beaches, stores, and restaurants; and I'm so glad I found it. The setting is lovely--nestled away from the road among the trees and in a neighborhood of well-tended cabins/homes. The interior is very clean and cozy. So many cabins smell like old furniture or burnt wood, but not this one. There was also no animal odor, even though it's a dog-friendly cabin. The furniture is comfortable, and the carpet was so soft it was like wearing slippers. The backyard is completely fenced and is very safe for small children and dogs. The owner was easy to contact, and my deposit was returned within 24 hours of my stay. I definitely recommend this property and will book again for future trips to Lake Tahoe.

Excellent vacation home

We spent 3 nights at this house with our 2 year old daughter and dog and absolutely loved every minute of it. This vacation home is so inviting and cozy, tastefully decorated, well stocked with amenities and totally relaxing. It had everything we needed, a fully stocked kitchen to prepare meals, lots of media options on the TV, tons of bright sunlight, blankets, towels, a fenced back yard for our dog to run around in the snow and so many toys for our toddler. There was even a really nice portable crib. It is hidden gem tucked away from the crowds, yet close enough to everything to drive to quickly. Thanks for making our thanksgiving vacation so memorable and we will definitely be back.
