Beautiful beach home!

Our stay was so wonderful at this picturesque home! Every room was well equipped from bedrooms, to bathrooms and kitchen. The private boardwalk and beach were just a dream! It was the perfect holiday getaway with our family.

Very Comfortable and Peaceful

All of us (six adults) enjoyed the amenities at this property. The direct access to the beach was particularly enjoyable. The rooms were well-appointed and the kitchen was great for cooking in when we didn't feel like going out. The deck was very relaxing and we had everything we needed.

What a wonderful stay in the perfect location!

Such a beautiful View with direct access to the beach! Everything we needed was there and the layout was perfect for us! The teens and kids took over the downstairs while the adults had the upstairs. Amy was such a pleasure to deal with as well! We can’t wait to stay again!

Wonderful & relaxing vacation spot!

This property was amazing! The house was very clean and had everything we needed! The beach is so close to the house and easy access. The view from the house is incredible. Beautiful sunrise and sunset. The property is close to restaurants and downtown area. We can’t wait to visit again. The owner was easy to communication with and accommodating to our needs!!

Amazing 4th of July stay

Property was perfect. Very clean and great amenities. Beach was great and weather was perfect. Amazing experience to watch fireworks from the deck and beach. Discovered lots of new local places this time. Recommend owners update some of their local recommendations. Good coffee and breweries nearby.

Always a Great Stay

Just returned from our annual ladies' getaway to Fernandina Beach. As always, the house and Amy were awesome. The house was clean and well appointed, and that private boardwalk to the beach is priceless. We liked the many updates they added this year - especially the queen bed downstairs that replaced one of the sofa beds.

Family Fun

Love how we can come and go to the beach as we please. No need for all the packing and unpacking of chairs, coolers, or toys. When we are hungry or tired we just head up to the house for a break. Made all our meals there and enjoyed looking at the ocean. Enjoyed a well stocked kitchen. Had many sunrise walks and evening walks. Booked for next year!!

Lovely home, very convenient to the beach and Fernandina.

I made Thanksgiving dinner there. It is a large kitchen with lots of storage. I wish that there had been more casserole and baking dishes. Also there is no light in the dining area which would have been useful. Enjoyed the porch and views from the main room.

Family Time

This house is wonderful! We stayed here with our 6 children (aged 15-24) in June. The back of the house has the most stunning view of the ocean, and it just beckons you out there. We went out to dinner in the evenings but made big breakfasts every morning. The provided beach chairs were so helpful, and it was easy to store our tent under the porch upon returning to the house during the days we were there. Thank you Amy for a great stay!

Challenging Stay in Amelia Island VRBO

Our family, including my husband, two boys, and myself, eagerly booked a VRBO in Amelia Island for a three-day stay as part of our road trip from Connecticut. We anticipated a relaxing break after long hours of driving, particularly from South Carolina to Amelia Island. Unfortunately, our expectations were met with disappointment upon arrival. The most significant issue we faced was the lack of heating in the house. Despite being exhausted from our journey, we spent a night in uncomfortably cold conditions. This was especially challenging for our young boys. Given the situation, we had no choice but to exit the property early the next morning. It was disheartening to have our much-needed rest disrupted and our plans unexpectedly changed. While the location and potential of the property were promising, the absence of basic amenities like heating during our stay was a considerable letdown. We hope this feedback helps in making necessary improvements to ensure a comfortable experience for future guests.

Beautiful House with Amazing View

This property was the perfect family getaway (two adults, three teens). The house was exactly as pictured and very clean upon arrival. Amy was a joy to work with and made everything super easy. We appreciated that basic supplies (toilet paper, soap, trash bags etc.,) were provided. The view was just spectacular, and we enjoyed drinking our morning coffee on the sunny deck. We want to particularly note that the house was big enough for us all to have our own space, but the large dining table and cozy living room allowed us to spend family time as well. The only thing we would change would be for the owner to consider providing some different clothing storage options in the master bedroom and downstairs bedroom. There is what appears to be antique wood furniture in the master, which although looks lovely, isn't as functional and has a musty smell. Downstairs, the clothing storage is not in the bedroom, but where the couches are, which is not ideal for those with the downstairs bedroom. Minor inconveniences, however, and it did not impact our fantastic time in this home. We would not hesitate to rent this property again.

Great Location and Beautiful Home

I rented the house for a bachelorette/bridal shower weekend to celebrate my best friend who is getting married. I kept the house a surprise to everyone who joined, and they all LOVED it! Enough space to sleep 8 people comfortably without needing to bring an additional air mattress. And the upgrades the owner made - perfect! Speaking of the home owner, Amy was amazing! She was incredibly hospitable and super easy to communicate with both before, during and after our stay. The only thing that I'd note would be the entrance out to the beach. The walkway was easy to access from the backyard, but the stairs leading down to the beach end about halfway down the dune. So it was a bit tricky to get down to the beach with chairs, towels, etc. Thankfully we were all somewhat athletic/a younger group (late 20's, early 30's) that were able to jump down and climb up. But it's definitely something to note if folks of an older age or someone with bad hips/legs to be aware of. There is a local beach access a few houses down on either side in that event. Outside of that, again the house was perfect, the location was ideal, and the owner was amazing to work with. I'd recommend this house to anyone looking for a getaway to Amelia Island. Top notch all the way!

Beach house on the water

This is your standard beach home, many feature of the home were not available, ie Fireplace home owner had it locked out , owners closet in master locked , unable to hang any cloths we packed, the lower bedding for the futon & couch linens none existence , had to scrounge around to put something together , no plastic liners on pull out and futon, zero pillows for these two sleeping bed as quoted in sleeping 10 people, nice bathrooms up stairs, lower is very small , Towels are old and in ok shape, hair driers in master only should have in each, no iron or iron board in the home. Stairs to main living quarter are not properly installed causing older people to manovier , home was very clean , oven interior was a very nasty and has not been cleaned we did not use it , House managing on this property was inaccessible when booking the home & zero support until I called home away to ask for a name & email Home away had none ,ask for contract 3 times after 1st down payment received a letter stating we staying at this home.. Need to have full real real estate contract , I even wonder if the Florida hotel tax is actually being paid as required by the county .. No mention of the live Cameras in the front or back decks with the live feed . We will be back to Amelia Island but this home will not be on our radar. Had a great time. Owner needs to revised his listings and make changes .. For the up charges for Amelia Island Concours, this simple items should have been checked ...

We thoroughly enjoyed our time visiting Amelia Island. This home was perfect for our multi-generational family. It was very clean, well stocked, and organized. I appreciate a home that doesn’t have anything on surfaces that isn’t necessary and this home was like that. It had everything we needed and nothing we didn’t need. The chairs and toys in the garage were a total bonus. The pics and description were accurate. The view is amazing. My FIL who has knee and hip pain had a hard time with the stairs and walk to the beach but everyone else navigated it just fine. We rode bikes daily and biked all the way north and all the way south and found that convenient to do from this house. I also liked the ample driveway space. Amy, the house manager, was very responsive and accommodating when we needed. Highly recommend this rental.
