Denna nyrenoverade lägenhet ligger i kaptenens kvarter Ämsterdam Houthavens "på fraktfartyget. Det är en mysig, romantisk och bekväm. Loungen i kaptenens styrstuga ovanför däck erbjuder en vacker 360-utsikt över de gamla Amsterdam Houthavens (timmerhamnen), IJ (huvudvägen till hamnen) och staden. Under däck finns ett separat sovrum; en matplats / vardagsrum med ett litet, men fullt utrustat pentry; och badrum med dusch och toalett.
Alla bekvämligheter är helt nya. Det finns en internetanslutning. Lägenheten har egen ingång, ett däck med en gammaldags eldkanna / grillplats och en andra sittterrass. Det har en känsla av rymlighet och det finns ett hav av lugn. Ett utmärkt ställe att koppla av och titta på fartyg i alla storlekar och svanar kommer förbi medan båten vaggar varsamt.

Distinctive!

Dana (one of her names!) was very friendly and hospital. Very nice setting at end of a long pier, but near NDSN ferry. Worth a try!

A Perfect Week on a Charming Houseboat

We had an absolutely wonderful stay on this charming houseboat! The space was cozy, clean, and full of character—such a unique and peaceful way to spend a week. Our host was incredibly friendly and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway!

Ehrlich, puristisch und maritim

Das ist der konsequente Gegenentwurf zum nüchternen Hotelzimmer. Fern des Overtourism ist man hier nahe der Herzkammer der maritimen Metropole.Wer mehr Ausstattung braucht soll sich ein deppertes Wohnmobil zulegen. Weniger ist mehr!

Great Boat House Experience

Dana is a great host and the location is spectacular if you want to tour the Jordan or be close to the Centraal station.We previously lived on our own small boat so were prepared for the continuous motion and the up an down on the ladder.

Great place to stay

This is not your run of the mill accommodation. If you’re looking for something different from hotels in a great location, this is it. I think of all the places I’ve rented over the years all over the world, this is in my top 3. The owner Margriet is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again if I return to Amsterdam.

Highly recommend!

We had a great stay on the houseboat - highly recommend to anyone considering! Dana was a wonderful host - very easy to communicate with, thoughtful, generous, and very interesting to chat with. She is very knowledgeable about the area and has great suggestions as well as insights on local history. The boat is more well connected to the city center than you'd expect (a short bus ride from the central station and multiple bus options). If we ever visit again we'd definitely stay here again!

Besonderer Geburtstag an einem besonderen Ort

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt auf dem Hausboot! Das Ambiente war einfach einzigartig und die ruhige Lage hat perfekt zur Entspannung beigetragen. Die Sauberkeit war hervorragend und die Nähe zur Stadt war ein weiterer Pluspunkt. Der Kontakt zur Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir würden jederzeit gerne wiederkommen! Absolute Empfehlung!

Im Hafen von Amsterdam

Sehr schön. Die Lage und der Ausblick war unglaublich schön. Als letztes Boot am Steg eine super Aussicht auf die Lichter des Hafens bei Nacht zu genießen war sehr romantisch und etwas ganz besonderes. Sehr nette Gastgeberin und perfektes Wetter.

House boat review

It was a perfect location and Dana was a joy to meet and beyond kind to me and my partner. We had no trouble with sea sickness and everything was a 20 minute walk away. We loved the view, the location, and the boat itself and would stay again if given the chance.

Great experience on a Boathouse!

Dana’s boathouse is perfectly situated, close to Amsterdam Central Station and the city centre. Well equipped, if you want to eat small meals on the boat and enjoy the wonderful view of the canal. Dana is a very nice person and available for your questions and needs. I recommend!

Lovely stay in houseboat

Had a great couple of nights staying on the Dana. It was cosy and was great to be able to sit inside and cozy whilst watching the rain outside haha. Very comfy bed and friendly owner who even gave us more beer when we were out ;-) Would stay again.

Perfect! Just book it!

My daughter and I had the best time. The houseboat is super cozy and so beautiful. We had a bit of a bad luck with the weather but staying on the houseboat made it so much more fun as you could stay up in the captains quarters and enjoy a beautiful view instead of being stuck in a hotel room. My daughter got bad cold and Dana was so helpful providing us with medicine, honey, herbs and tea. The bed was very comfortable and everything was super clean. The location was great as you are not in the midst of everything but still only a couple of bus stops away from the hustle and bustle. We slept so well since the bed was very comfortable and there was literally no noise from outside as there is no street going by. The kitchen and fridge are awesome as you don’t have to spent tons of money eating out but if you feel like it there are some good options in walking distance like a Thai place or a Turkish place and a great grocery store as well. I would definelty book another stay here! 100%!!!

Great time on the Dana

My husband and I stayed for several days and it was a perfect adventure. We wanted something other than another hotel stay and we got it! Very cozy, well appointed, and a great location. Between the ferries (5 min walk) and the train station (20 min walk), we had everything we needed to get around. Host was incredibly helpful in sharing information. Would absolutely stay again.

This house boat is what dreams are made of. Clean, cozy, and incredibly comfortable; I don't think I've ever slept so well. Dana is an absolute gem and incredibly helpful. Would absolutely stay here again!
