Pretty room in a quiet neighbourhood near Amsterdam's center

Welcome to our home in a quiet and friendly neighborhood. Your private space is the entire top floor, where you’ll have your own bedroom, bathroom, and a sunny terrace — the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Amsterdam.

While your floor is private, the kitchen, living room, and dining area are shared with us and other residents. You are very welcome to use these spaces to cook meals, enjoy a coffee, or unwind in good company.

The house is just a five-minute walk from a shopping center with groceries and all the essentials. Getting into the city is easy: the bus stop is right across the street, taking you to the center in about 20 minutes, or you can cycle there in around 15 minutes. Amsterdam Noord and the vibrant NDSM wharf, with its restaurants and bars, are also just a short walk away.

I’m always happy to share local tips and recommendations, and I look forward to welcoming you into our home.

    Wir wurden freundlich begrĂŒĂŸt und konnten uns mit Fragen immer an den Gastgeber wenden. Zimmer und Bad waren sauber. Die Betten sind komfortabel und bequem.Der Einstieg in die Dusche ist sehr eng, der Dusch-Ablauf mĂŒsste dringend gereinigt werden, weil das Wasser kaum noch abfließt.Die KĂŒche im Gemeinschaftsraum im Erdgeschoss haben wir nicht genutzt, können deshalb nichts zur Ausstattung sagen. Ich hĂ€tte gern vor der Buchung gewusst, dass man sich das Haus mit drei oder mehr Personen teilt. Das wird aus der Beschreibung nicht deutlich.

    Max was an awesome host! He let us check in early which was much appreciated and was a great help with local transportation. Room and bathroom were immaculate, comfortable. They are located in a great place with easy access to the city however due to lots of construction and bus lines being shut down we had to navigate a different way but it all worked out. Great stay.

    Host was super friendly as was his brother who was handling the hosting on site. He was easy-going and willing to help in any way The twin beds put together were comfortable and duvets were outstanding. We were challenged by the washer/dryer but appreciated being able to use them and got help, and challenged in the kitchen with finding things, finding room in the fridge, and figuring out the appliances. Once we figured out the transit system, it was easy to use with a bus-stop literally a couple of minutes away. It took us about 45 minutes to get, door to door, to and from the major museums. It wasn't practical to come back to make dinner for ourselves and then go out again.All in all, it was a good experience.

    Die Buchung war unkompliziert, die Kommunikation im vorab mit dem Vermieter war sehr gut. Uns wurden dabei kostenlose Parkmöglichkeiten und Möglichkeiten mit dem öffentlichen Nahverkehr vorgeschlagen. Der persönliche Empfang durch den Vermieter, welcher einer der 3 Bewohner des Objekts ist, war sehr freundlich und herzlich. Das Zimmer und das eigene Badezimmer waren sauber. Die Möglichkeit, die etwas karge aber eigene Dachterasse zu nutzen, fanden wir schön.Die Fotos der Gemeinschaftsbereiche von KĂŒche und Wohnzimmer entsprachen nicht ganz der aktuellen Situation vor Ort. Es wirkte viel kleiner, unordentlicher und den Gesamteindruck empfanden wir nicht gerade einladend. Deshalb wurde dieser Teil nicht von uns benutzt.Wer aber den "typischen" 3 Personen WG-Style mag, und Amsterdam fĂŒr nur 2 Tage erkunden will, fĂŒhlt sich hier wahrscheinlich wohl.

    Very nice stay in Amsterdam. Chared house with very private bedroom and bathroom. Comfortable beds. Our host was welcoming and kind. From the house, it was easy to get in town with the bus stop beeing in front of the house. Grocery store close by. Thank you again for everything !

    A great stay in Amsterdam

    Thank you very much for the wonderful time we spent in Amsterdam. Malachi, the host, is very helpful and very pleasant. The neighbourhood is very safe and quiet and getting into the city is quick and easy. We will definitely come back again.

    The best stay just outside of Amsterdam!

    We had the best stay at Malachi’s home just outside of Amsterdam! Malachi was incredibly friendly and polite, and recommended many places in Amsterdam for us to visit. The neighborhood was very safe and pleasant to stay in, and easy to commute to Amsterdam from. The home itself was clean and comfortable, and Monica the cat was a great bonus! I highly recommend staying with Malachi, and would 100% stay here again.

    Marijuana Smelling Frat House

    Host was extremely friendly, and had excellent communication with us all throughout the booking process. He even provided helpful public transportation information (bus stop directly in front of property). Room was basic (no TV, refrigerator etc) but clean. Unattached bathroom was small, and fairly clean.However, this is NOT a 5-star property. The 'shared living areas' are cluttered and dirty (unlike posting photos) and the entire property smelled like marijuana. The place is like a frat house, yet would be perfect for someone who smokes pot, is a gamer, and doesn't mind living in a dirty apartment. We left after just one night (tried to leave earlier) and stayed in a hotel in the city. Having traveled all over the world, this was by far, the absolute worst property we have ever stayed in. Definitely would NOT recommend this property.*Note: Although not required, the host did provide us with a refund, after working with VRBO customer service.

    The best in Amsterdam

    As soon as we arrived, Malachi welcomed us warmly explaining every detail of the house and the city, also suggesting things to do during the day. The stay was very pleasant and Malachi was very discreet. The terrace has a beautiful view and we had a great time.

    Con mi pareja pasamos tres dĂ­as maravillosos en Amsterdam, alojados en un hermoso sitio: limpio, agradable, confortable, con un anfitrion genial como Malachi, que nos atendiĂł, ayudĂł y asesorĂł de la mejor manera. Recomiendo muchĂ­simo este lugar, que ademĂĄs estĂĄ muy bien conectado por autobĂșs y metro para recorrer esta bellĂ­sima ciudad.

    Die Unterkunft ist sehr gut gelegen, 15 Minuten, und man ist mittendrin. Bus und Metro direkt vor der TĂŒr. Sehr ruhig und super freundliche und lustige Gastgeber. Alles sehr unkompliziert. Danke! Wir kommen wieder.

    Wonderful home away from home

    Very nice and sweet place with great location to a bus stop that made transportation a breeze. Has a wonderful balcony that was amazing to watch the sun set. And how friendly our homeowner is! Would absolutely stay here again

    Super Lage und freundliche Gastgeber

    Die Lage der Wohnung ist perfekt. Die Bushaltestelle liegt direkt vor der Wohnung. Unsere Gastgeber waren sehr hilfsbreit und super freundlich. Die Unkompliziertheit war sehr angenehm. Diese Unterkunft ist absolut weiterzuempfehlen.

    Nice space, great hosts

    Looking for an affordable place to stay took out out of the Centrum. I was a little nervous about what looked to be distant on paper, but it was very easy to get around between a nearby bus stop which provided easy access to the metro. Malachi was great, very helpful. The unit itself was efficient and had very comfortable mattresses. Having our own bathroom was a plus. We also had access to the kitchen, but really didn't use anything but the refrigerator. All in all, we had a great and satisfying stay.

    Very nice and welcoming accomodation

    We spent a great week at Malachi's home as a couple. Malachi is very welcoming and friendly host and he directly made us feel comfortable. The room is spacious, and the whole floor (bedroom + bathroom + rooftop terrace) is for the guests so we can have real intimacy. The surroundings are quiet and you can reach Centraal Station in less than 30 min with public transport. Quentin & Juliette

    Excellent stay and friendly host!

    From the outset, Malachi (host) was helpful, attentive and communicated well with us before our stay. He provided us with helpful tips on how to access central Amsterdam and even left flyers in our room with useful tourist information and activities. The property was very clean, comfortable, and the kitchen facilities were fantastic. While the property isn’t located in Amsterdam, it is only a short 10 minute journey to get there. 10/10 stay - would recommend!!
