Family vacation

The location was wonderful and easy to get to the beach. Had plenty of activities for the kids close by! Unit was a little outdated which made it seem unclean but overall great stay!

Great location and very spacious

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything with the rental was great. we had a couple of maintenance issues upon arrival that was addressed during our stay. I would recommend this location to anyone looking.

Family Vacation

We had a great time! The weather was great, except it was cold a couple of mornings. But no rain at all! It was very relaxing & loved that is was right by the Pier & Pier park

DISAPPOINTING

Air conditioner did not work. Was not fixed until 4th day there. Made numerous request for light bulbs, took 3 days to get those. Mold growing on shower curtain and ceilings. Cabinets were sticky and food spillage inside. I have come to Panama City Beach for many years and this condo was a huge disappointment. I made many calls and texts trying to get things taken care of.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit could really use some TLC. The floors were quite dirty, there was mold in 2 out of the 3 toilets, along with the vent in the kitchen and there was a strong mildew smell when we first arrived. There were some dirty pots and some of the cupboards were obviously never checked as there was coffee spilled inside of the one which has been there for quite some time. This unit should really be deep cleaned. We have stayed in other units at Calypso and they were in much better condition.

The couch was broke upon arrival so we could sit or watch tv at night or sleep on it. The air was broke and had to keep all blinds closed. It was filthy. I called and emailed daily with no updates or responses. We checked out a daily early.Emerald coast property sucked

Nice location/OK condo.

We love the Calypso and stay there every year. This condo, to quote a previous review, needs some loving care. On a previous review, there was a complaint about mold in the master bathroom shower. I was surprised that that was still the case for us. I took care of that with some bleach. (You're welcome next family that stays there) There was also a broken light switch cover that was dangerous with a 3 year old in our family. We replaced that ourselves with a cheap switch cover. The first thing I had to do after arrival was mop the floors. There were complaints about cleaning in prior reviews. There are loose toilet paper holders, faucet handles that are in need to repair, the washing machine sounds like a plane coming in for landing, and the fan in the guest room makes a knocking sound that is not conducive to sleeping. This are all simple fixes that routine maintenance can take care of. For what you pay for this condo, these are not acceptable. I understand this is a rental property and I could have overlooked some things if they had not already been complained about in earlier reviews. I hope the owners and/or rental company take care of these issues sooner than later. In their defense, we did not call for any repairs because we did not want to deal with repairs while we were there. Again, we love the Calypso for its great location, wonderful beach and pool area!

The location is great, and the Emerald Hub located at tower lll is the best. Calypso employees kept the bathrooms and hallways very clean. The condo itself needs some TLC. Mold/mildew over the master ceiling and master bathroom. Master shower has mold. There were outlet faceplates broke. The floors appeared to have not been mopped in a very long time. The mattress were very worn out. The pillows had queen sized pillowcases in king sized pillows. The walls are in desperate need of paint.

Everything was Perfect

Negative aspects from prior reviews had all been addressed ... The property was very clean and well maintianed. The check-in process including parking was a breeze, as was check-out. Plenty of room for a family of 6; three bedroom suites for privacy and an ample living area for family meals, etc. Location ... short walk to Pier Park and all the food you can handle. All that plus the many amenities made this a memorable vacation we would like to repeat .... again and again!

Great Location!

We had a fabulous time. Loved the view from the end unit. Could have been a little cleaner. Refrigerator was dirty inside. The refrigerator stoped working after the first night. The gave us a little fridge for the night and then brought a bigger fridge in for the rest of the trip. It didn’t make ice, but we just went and bought some. Please check rooms for cleanses after they have been cleaned. Replace shower heads and faucets, they were dripping in every bathroom.

Nice condo, good location

It was a bit of a maze to navigate the location of elevators to the rooms and beach but once we figured it out we were set. We had an issue with one of the showers our first night there but it was fixed the next day so we appreciated the prompt service. The master bedroom bed was too broke down for our comfort. The two sets of beach chairs were a wonderful perk. The ocean view on the nicely furnished balcony was relaxing for morning coffee and evening beverages. The walking distance to Pier Park shops and dining was very convenient for our family. We were also in walking distance to Diego’s, on of our must eats which was a nice surprise. We would choose this location again and this specific condo if the master mattress were replaced. The condo was fancy, but had what we needed for our weeks vacation.
