Awesome!

We stayed at Spring Lodge for our niece’s wedding at Wonderlust Acres. The house was great, the porch was awesome and Pat and Rich were fabulous. When I called them to let them know we had gotten in early and was wondering if we could get an early check in they did not hesitate to accommodate my request. My only complaint is
our stay was not long enough.

Mountain getaway

Was great to get a mountain getaway with the family. This property gave us a secluded location, but close to the places we wanted to be. The hosts were great and kept great communication during our stay. The experience exceeded our expectations.

Peaceful Mountain Retreat

Relaxing place

This house was perfect for my families trip to my nieces wedding. House had plenty of room and relaxing. The rocking chairs on front porch was a great start to our day, relaxing and enjoying the view.

Wonderful Getaway

Beautiful home and location. More space than the pictures do justice. A bit off the beaten path, while also close to great towns like Boone and West Jefferson. Already thinking about coming back in the summer to see the gardens in full bloom.

Great Holiday Stay!

We enjoyed our Christmas getaway in this lovely home! I’m a cook and a baker and they definitely had just about everything I needed to make all of my holiday meals and baked treats. I appreciated the Christmas greeting call from the owners and all of the prompt responses to our questions. The house was clean, well appointed and a very joyful space to spend time in. We would definitely stay again!

Mountain Escape

This is the second time we have stayed at Spring Lodge. It is simply wonderful. Rich and Pat are great hosts, and the home has everything you need. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and a porch with a view that is peaceful. We will definitely be back.

long weekend with friends

Weekend work trip

We made a quick trip to West Jefferson to help my daddy with some property he was setting up for a permanent RV. The Spring Lodge was a beautiful gem for us to rest and relax each night for more work! Everything at the house was spectacular! Love the open layout - just wish we had of had more time to rest and enjoy the tranquility of the space. Rich & Pat were the greatest!

Respite for our college student

This home was absolutely wonderful. Beautiful property, so quiet and serene. Inside the house was warm, cozy and very nicely appointed with everything we needed. Pat and Rich were great hosts, and on the morning we left they brought us delicious croissants. We will definitely return - don't hesitate to make this home your vacation destination!!

Quiet Retreat

In a very convenient location (Boone and West Jefferson only 20 minutes away, we enjoyed sitting on the porch looking at the wooded valley. The large house was immaculate and one of the best equipped we have experienced. Rich and Pat are welcoming hosts, and Pat's croissants were delicious. We have already booked another week for next fall!

Beautiful home, amazing location and wonderful hosts

We had a wonderful weekend in this home, the house is impeccable and the place is peaceful and beautiful. Rich's and Pat's hospitality was wonderful, we even got warm chocolate croissants in the morning. We had a storm and lost power and they brought us some candles and we spent a couple of hours by the fire in the candle light. Just beautiful

Wonderful!

This home was everything advertised and more! I have used VRBO numerous times, and this was by far the nicest home I have ever stayed in! Fully stocked from kitchen to baths to bedrooms. Comfortable in every sense. And communication with the owner was effortless. If you are looking for a comfy home in the mountains, you need to look no further!

Beautiful property but just far from most attractions

the property is very nice and spacious. but unfortunately far from most attractions. Due to the hurricane damage Blue Ridge was closed off and most driving distances are 40 minutes plus. The other downfall was the trash situation. We were unaware that would have to dispose of the trash away from the house to the nearest landfill. Fortunately you have the option of the cleaning staff taking it for you at a Fee cost.

My family has an annual getaway every year. This year we chose to say in this lovely home. Its a beautiful home very peaceful quite surroundings. We could not have found a more perfect place. Beautifully decorated, very spacious, all then amenities of home and then some. Our lovely hosts provided amazing croissants the morning we left. Folks they are delicious. Craft fairs we in two local towns this weekend another plus.

Secluded - Safe – Scenic

The home and property are very well kept. We thoroughly enjoyed the quiet setting; while sitting on the front porch each evening, enjoying the view waiting for the friendly, 3-legged, cat to stop by. Although the property is secluded; the lovely town of West Jefferson is not far and the Blue Ridge Parkway is even closer. The large master bedroom & bathroom with a walk-in shower & handicap bars by the commode are a big plus for someone, such as myself, with physical disabilities. Our host was very informative & responsive.

Hobbies: gardening, woodworking, sailing, camping, travel international & domestic, reading. Traveled and worked in Europe for many years, Pat , the wife, studied in Italy and speaks basic Italian. Both enjoy hiking in South America and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Sailed from North Carolina to Carribbean Islands for 14 months on personal boat. Reasonably fit for old guy, active non smoker, enjoy meeting new friends. We live in a modest log cabin in a small remote North Carolina town in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

We love the quiet beauty of the Blue Ridge Parkway and the NC Mountains. This home is located on 4 private acres with a rushing stream on the property. This is a special place and we wanted to make sure that this 20 year house was preserved and properly restored to reflect the charm of the life that we enjoy here in North Carolina
