We loved our stay, both the condo and property were clean and well kept! Beach access was a bit of a walk, but we anticipated that from the map of the property. Overall, great time!

To me it was a very long walk to the beach. Longer than described.The facility was ok. Parking is very tight. The unit was right along Midnight Pass Road. So it was noisy. There was little information on how to check in and where to park. One very nice feature was the washer and dryer!You were lucky to find a lawn chair to drag down to the beach. And finding the people to rent umbrellas from was difficult. I think for what it cost for a week was a little high.I wasn’t impressed! I won’t stay at Jamacia Royale again it reminds me of a long chicken coop. I prefer Surf and Racquet Club or The Palm Bay or Island House.

Wonderful unit. Fully equipped. Owner was very helpful since this was my first vacation in 20 years. Even had some beach items and toys for the kids on the back porch.

Great get away

8 minute walk to in my favorite beach. Easy to communicate with Michelle, she responded immediately to a question I had. Everything as posted on VRBO. Pool perfect temperature!

Great place!

The place is super clean, newly updated. We were apprehensive when first pulled up as it looked like a motel from the 50’s, but well kept up. We were thrilled with the inside.. A short walk to the beach, beach chairs available. There is a trolley to take you to the village. We had to track Michelle down for the code after 4. I would recommend this place.

Very pretty and clean. Next time we would like to be closer to the beach due to walking. At Various times there were problems with the electric gates on the property to drive in.

Clean and Comfortable Condo

Condo was very clean when we arrived. Looks like it was recently updated. Condo was at the end of a row, so furthest from the beach. The property is nice and the walk to the beach is easy and private. Very little information about check in. Property security asked us to get bracelets from the main office, which was not communicated by the host. Overall we were happy with our stay and did not have any problems.

Cleanliness was good and comfortable beds. End unit next to noisy road. Very minimal kitchen. Ten minute walk to beach. No communication for check in. We had a nice week but dissatisfied with this unit. Could use a little touches such as soap in bathroom to wash hands and other amenities.

Had to call multiple times to get check in information. Finally got ahold of host after 4pm. Front door lock not working. Had to go get batteries and replace. Did not have arm bands that were supposed to be provided. Security stopped us and would not let us in. Went to front office and had to beg for arm bands since we did not rent thru the resort. No side table next to one side of the bed. Had no where to put my phone or water. No carpet anywhere. No vacuum cleaner. Was difficult to get sand up. Place was clean and good price. Just a bit frustrating with communication and no arm bands.

They did have to call for chkin but only once. Sounds like they had a good time inspite of having to get their own bands provided free of charge by the ofc. No carpet is by design. Carpet is messy & a breeding ground for bacteria. No carpet, no need for a vacuum cleaner. There was a broom & dust pan for the freshly refinished epoxy floor. No room for a side table. Through it all, it seems they had a nice, clean garden apartment steps from the beach. It seems like it's a win for everybody. I'd welcome them back as guests anytime.

Good location poor facility

The condo is in a great location. Beds are comfortable. Kitchen is very poorly equipped. Owner is not particularly responsive. Nothing gracious. Not one note pad of paper pen book game. Worst equipped VRBO I have ever rented.

Thank you for complimenting the comfort of the facilty; however, I'm sorry u were dissatisfied with the kitchen. In the five years I've been hosting guests, I've never gotten that feedback about the kitchen. Had u had asked me for whatever is missing, Id had gladly brought it to u. Moreover, since u were so nonspecific in your criticism, I can't even correct it for future guests. If you'd like to email a list of what u thought was missing, I'm happy to respond/add it to my condo. I look forward to receiving that communication/list. Insofar as nonresponsive, other than at the beginning of your stay to get your checkin code, u didnt try to contact me during your stay. At one point, you even thanked me for my quick response. So not sure about that either. In so far as books, games, pens & paper -- again, in the 5 years I've been hosting guests, no one has asked or even mentioned books, games, pens & paper. Coincidentally, I have functional wall game board art on order (chess, checkers, backgammon, tic-tac-toe). So, that will be up shortly. I can add pens & paper to my list of amenities but, in this COVID world in which we now live, books are germ catchers in a public accommodation & there no effective way to quickly & effectively disinfect them. Accordingly, I won't be adding books. All u had to do was ask. I enjoy hosting & I'm here for the u, the guest & I appreciate your business. Thank u!

When we arrived the host had given us the wrong code numbers for both the gate and cottage door. It was around 50 degrees and furnace was not working. There were 3 space heaters. The cottage (condo) was not up to normal vrbo expectations. The floors are poured concrete with stones embedded. The kitchen was supplied sparsely. We bought more coffee mugs and glassware while there. The host did respond to our inquiries but not without attitude. She offered to move us to another condo, sight unseen, but we were skeptical about that as it was further from the beach and no one had stayed there prior. We got by but it certainly wasn’t our best vrbo stay. Condo needs uplifting. No lock on sliding door, only stick to put into slot.

Hello. The code mix up was unfortunate but sheerly a mix up. I sincerely apologize for the heat. I have been in Sarasota for thirty years.I've never seen weather that cold. I got the heater fixed as fast as I could as the required part was on back order for a few days. Accordingly, I offered to take you to another accommodation (which was no further from the beach - Ive measured it before) to see it so it wasnt sight unseen. U declined to see it; however, I can understand you wanting to stay in the accommodation you booked. Although stocked w 6 of everything, Im not sure why you bought more of anything. Had you have asked for more, I would have gladly brought you some. The sliding glass door can be difficult to lock, but it does lock. Condo features leather sofa, solid wood distressed driftwood LR & DR furnture w solid wood kitchen cabinets, quartz countertops & new stainless steel appliances. The condo is exactly as seen in the online pictures. Other than scheduling the heater repair & asking about an umbrella, we didn't talk so i'm not sure where you detected an attitude so not sure how to respond d to that other then sorry you feel that way. I assure you wish you would have reached out to me to help with what I could. Id welcome u back although it sounds like u simply didnt like the decor. I hope u enjoy your next VRBO stay.

The location was great and the place was clean and well equipped, However, there were a series of mechanical problems that didn’t get resolved until near the end of the stay: front door lock didn’t get fixed until day five of the stay and the indoor temperature dropped to 62 degrees on cold nights (of which we had several). I have yet to receive my damage deposit back or the promised refund. I understand that the host was dealing with a lot of issues, but eventually that got pretty tiring to deal with. Just a suggestion, I’d look into getting a vacuum cleaner for the floors (instead of just a Swiffer). Sand and grit are hard to pick up on that type of flooring.

Hello. Its unfortunate the temperature dropped but I gave them space heaters, because the part that was required to fix the heater was on back order. There was literally nothing I could do other than what I did. I have no control over how quickly VRBO processes a damage deposit or a refund. I thank this guest for the input about the vacuum cleaner. I did purchase one and put it into the unit. I did my best. Sometime the stars just don't align perfectly. I would welcome them back as guests.

Beautiful place with anything you may need. Easy entry, we felt very secure. The end unit was quiet. Nice outdoor seating area. Internet service was excellent. Trolley stop nearby. Several pools to enjoy and a private beach. Will definitely stay here again if we’re in this area!!

Although it’s listed that the unit is on the beach, it is a nice long walk to get to the beach because it’s the furthest unit. There is no toaster in the unit and only one pan and one pot. The beds are comfortable and the shower pressure is great. The unit was clean and there are plenty of towels. This unit has a washer and dryer which is very convenient. The location is great with a private beach and just a short walk to the public beach. Siesta key village is close too.

We loved our stay. It was our first time in Siesta Key. Loved the location!

The property is clean & had everything you needed for a week at the beach. Beach chairs beach towels , the kitchen was well stocked. And there was a wagon to easily pack up all your stuff & stroll down the sidewalk to the beach or the pool

Super clean, beautiful condo! We absolutely loved it! It was the perfect size for 6 of us. Everything was top of the line ! Would stay again for sure! A short walk to the beach, but made for great exercise! We enjoyed it so much!

Nice complex

The Jamaica Royale complex is nice. Good pools and beach. This unit is clean and comfortable. The only major drawback is the location. It's the farthest from the beach and right on a loud and busy road. Communication with the manager is as described in the other reviews.

No Toaster

Unit is freshly (and nicely) redecorated with new, quality appliances throughout. It's very nice, but next to a busy, often noisy street. Super access in and out, but 6-700 yards to the beach. For a long term stay, the absence of a toaster lwas surprising. Also surprising was finding that the unit was rented for the following year while we were still there. Not the norm for Siesta Key units.
