Solig, modern Katama saltlåda! Fabulously ljus, omvänd stil hem med boende på övervåningen och 3 sovrum med master bad och andra badrum på nedervåningen.
Öppet och luftigt med tak i katedralen och massor av fönster. 3 stora skjutreglage öppnar sig mot ett stort soligt däck som löper längden på huset. 2 av sovrummen har drottning sängar och skjutreglage ut till den omgivande gården, mest av det i gräset. Det tredje sovrummet har en uppsättning våningssängar och en enkelsäng. Njut av den uppvärmda utomhusduschen efter en bra dag på stranden!
Fantastiskt läge mitt mellan staden och stranden, det är en promenad till Edgartown (0,9 miles) eller en cykel till South Beach (1,5 miles) på cykelvägen.
Huset ligger en kort bit från Katama flygfält (0. 4 miles) där du kan gå för en fantastisk tvåflyktsresa över ön. Också njut av den härliga frukosten eller lunchen vid middagen vid landningsbanan och titta på planen från utomhusdäcket.

Wonderful place to stay

Loved everything about staying here. The bedrooms are located on the 1st floor and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped with anything we needed. The living room area was actually bigger than I expected based on the pictures. Very comfortable, would highly recommend staying here!

Location, location, location!

The place was accurately described, clean and location wonderful. We spent time walking and bike riding to and from Edgartown and Katama Beach. Very relaxing living area for seating of 5 of us. Ate in twice using grill. We love MV and would stay again.

Great house close to everything

House was clean and as advertised - very convenient check-in and check-out. House is close to South Beach and Edgartown - terrific location. Would def recommend.

Katama saltbox

Lovely house. Clean and well-maintained. We enjoyed the upside down layout. Fabulous location - easy to get to the beach, Edgartown. Access to bike path is so great. Owner is responsive and easy to work with.

Fantastic location and house!

Had an amazing time on the island and this house is in a perfect location. A short walk into town, run to South beach, near the Katama market for great breakfast sandwiches:) Terrific house and Mike is a very responsive and great host.

Katama House

The house is in a fantastic location in Katama, centrally between downtown Edgartown and South Beach. Very easy to get anywhere and great for running and biking with trails right there. The house is as advertised in the pictures. The AC was a little finicky at times, but it never got too hot. Thanks!

Recent stay

The owner was responsive to several items we flagged like broken sliding screen door, clogged sinks, etc. With some TLC I’d rate it better. It’s a good location between Edgartown and South Beach. We enjoyed having the bike trail across the street. The house is landscaped so there is privacy from the street. We were there after Labor Day so road traffic and noise was manageable. .

Nice location

Great location within bike or foot walk to South Beach and Katama airfield. If you do stay there plan on at least 1 breakfast at the Right Fork Diner at the airfield. We did twice. Had a couple minor issues, but they were addressed in a timely manner. Would consider this property again...

Miss the Saltbox already!

Great first time visit to MV! The house had everything we needed & a great location especially if you have a car or bike. Just my friend & me & both Queen beds were very comfortable. We couldn't figure out how to get any channels on the TV except the basic ones but that is on us-we are not tech savvy. Zero complaints-I will say at 6' 0" I found the toilets to be very low to the ground but certainly not a deal breaker. Lovely new deck too!

It was perfect. Comfortable, clean home. Everything was just as stated on line. Minor issue that owner took care of immediately. Information and instructions left for us were very easy to follow. Hope to stay at this home again during our annual visit to the Vineyard. Thank you!

met our needs

House had all we needed for a brief stay on the vineyard. Was a little hard to find due to overgrowth in front of house, but was located in a perfect spot for our needs- close to beach and town- house was clean and roomy enough for the 4 of us, Kitchen had all we needed for breakfast, price was right. A little run down on the outside- deck could use a little TLC-wifi didn't work for us after day 1, other than that all was great!

Location is everything!

We went with this listing primarily for the affordability for its location. A bike ride or walk to South Beach one way and to Edgartown Center the other way. Was very convenient for my young adult children to do their own thing when they chose to. Now, there are FAR more pricier properties in this area, but if you don't need all the bells and whistles of a pristine multi-million $ property, then this is your house! We needed a place to sleep and shower to hit the beach by day and the center by night. Worked out great for us for the cost. The owner is very responsive and super easy to work with!

Best location on MV!

We had a wonderful stay at Michael’s house! We have stayed in a few different rentals on MV, but hands down loved this Katama location best! We ran/walked/biked into Edgartown every single morning, which was a little over a mile. The house was also a short bike ride to South Beach, and a slightly longer bike ride to State beach. We even rode our bikes to Noman’s a couple of times! Having the Katama General Store so close was an added bonus! The top floor of this upside down house was light, bright, and airy. A nice big great room with Kitchen/dining/living room. A/C worked great!! Lots of bathrooms (3 plus outside shower) were also a nice plus. Water pressure and temp were great. We never ran out of hot water. And Michael was a great host who even checked in with us after we arrived! I would stay at this home anytime! Cheers! KJ

Buggy and broken

Too many bugs. Windows not properly sealed off when air is on. Only one electric burner worked on the stove, no glasses in the kitchen, beds were uncomfortable, air conditioning units in family room were so loud, you couldn’t hear the TV, shower head in downstairs bathroom didn’t function, refrigerator door didn’t close until you pushed it, front screen door didn’t close all the way unless pulled shut, sliding door from family room out to deck had to be pushed in a certain angle to close properly, no yard, only one lounge chair.

Late summer vacation (September Labor Day Week)

Overall, our family was really happy with the property. The location on the right fork in Katama was really ideal. It was located perfectly between downtown Edgartown and South Beach, so we could easily bike in both directions with our kids (ages 7 and 11). As it relates to the property itself, we really liked the "upside down" layout, with all the bedrooms downstairs and the living room/kitchen upstairs. The storage shed located off the front porch was also extremely convenient as we brought a lot of stuff with us (golf clubs, beach flotation devices, bicycle gear, etc.). Lastly, the property owner was extremely responsive and easy to work with. For the sake of full disclosure, while it wasn't an issue for us, but would be important for other renters to consider is that the property isn't air conditioned. Again, this wasn't a problem for us given it was late summer. We had all the windows open and ceiling fan and bedroom fans running, so it stayed relatively comfortable for the duration of our stay. However, if you're renting in July-August and you get a warm week, it may get a warm inside. Overall, we had a great time. I would recommend this property to others and would also stay there again. Lovely home with a beachy vibe

Really enjoyed our stay here! We've rented another South Beach property for the last 20 years from a realtor and it wasn't available this time, so we quickly pivoted to VRBO and found Mike's home. Loved the open, beachy feel in the living room/kitchen upstairs, as well as the large deck. The house was exactly as pictured and the contactless check-in was easy. The a/c was a nice bonus. We usually come to MV in late September and our previous rental didn't have it, which is fine. But we came much earlier this trip and it was humid, so we were glad to have a/c (especially for sleeping). We slept much better in this rental since we didn't have windows open with the blinds fluttering in the breeze. With a child, the outdoor heated shower was another bonus coming home from the beach. Nice location on the bike path and very close to Katama General Store. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location and home base to explore all of Martha's Vineyard.

Center of Edgartown is 5 minute bike ride. South Beach is a short ride down the bike path which is across the street. Our host was super responsive to all our needs.

Great place to stay!

We loved staying here. The house has a great layout. Our favorite was the upstairs nice open living room and deck. We were able to enjoy having meals and relaxing daily. Lots of windows and lots of natural light. The location was great! Close to beach, Morning Glory Farm and Edgartown via car or bike. The house was very clean and would highly recommend staying there. Great Place to stay for a family!

Fantastic stay at Martha's Vineyard

We had our first vacation as a family of 4 and chose to rent this house instead of staying at a hotel. Having access to a kitchen to cook some meals instead of eating out every meal was great. The location was perfect for us. Great location for biking to South Beach, the Right Fork Diner, Edgartown, etc. Also, the house was roomier than it appeared in the photos. Keep in mind, there is no AC in the house. Fortunately for us, we had great fall weather during our stay. Also, sheets and towels are not provided so be sure to bring your own.

Great Getaway!

Nice Beach House

We had a good time in the house, which was very close to the beach and to the town. The bike path is directly in front of the house and just a 10 minute ride to the beach in a straight shot passed the airfield and Right Fork Diner. The upstairs is a great room with plenty of sun, and a big deck right through the upstairs screen door with a full grill and table to accommodate a family dinner. Internet for WiFi and TV are available and no fuss, but the house is a bit sparse on accessories (no towels or sheets). All around a very nice beach house in a great location.
