This spacious boat located in the beautiful Brouwersgracht canal near the jordaan is certainly unique, the boat had an big bedroom with an open jacuzzi. The big livingroom offers an extra space for 2 persons to stay. The boat is fully private. Centrally located in the historic center in the UNESCO protected canals of Amsterdam. Suitable for couples & families up to 4 persons. All major attractions within walking distance. As well as the best restaurants, bars, stores and clubs.

Charming houseboat and neighborhood

We loved our stay. The host was very friendly and helpful. The neighborhood was adorable and we were able to walk almost everywhere. We highly recommend this place!

Brilliant location

We loved our stay on Jesse's houseboat. The accommodation is very comfortable (although probably best suited to taller people, since all surfaces are rather high) and Jesse is very responsive. The location is absolutely perfect with lots of shops, bars and restaurants close by. The Central Station and many major attractions are within walking distance. Sitting on the houseboat and watching boats and the world go by is a very special experience.

Unique and great location

We loved staying on this houseboat! It was spacious and beautifully decorated. I have a weak stomach but the very VERY subtle movement of the boat didn’t bother me, I actually found it soothing. Bring motion sickness meds if you’re worried and you won’t have any issues, I didn’t even need them! I’ll miss it and would definitely stay again!

Must Stay!!!

This houseboat was THE coolest place I have ever stayed, I will be staying here again next time I am in Amsterdam. Perfect location, beautiful boat with high ceilings and lots of space to spread out! A gorgeous, well kept place!

Perfect experience

The stay was perfect — living on the houseboat made our vacation even more authentic and complete. The beds and sofa are very comfortable, and the kitchen is fully equipped. The house has everything you need for your stay, including coffee, sugare&salt, and cleaning supplies. I also really appreciated the washing machine and dryer (we were traveling with two kids and only a few changes of clothes), and my children loved having a bathtub just like at home. The upper deck of the boat, with its cozy seating, is perfect for relaxing while watching boats pass by on the canal. The houseboat is located on a quiet canal but is very conveniently situated for reaching both the city center and the main train station. If you want to add even more charm to your stay in Amsterdam, I highly recommend choosing this houseboat!

Locatie! Locatie! Locatie!

On land or water, there is no better neighborhood to stay in, in Amsterdam than the Jordaan. To be on the water, on the Brouwersgracht is magical. Jesse’s houseboat feels like home.

Sitting on the deck of the houseboat, watching boats go by on the water and bikes go by on the road was one of the best travel memories ever! Check-in was very easy once we got the instructions, but the host was hard to get a hold of. On the day of our arrival, I had to call VRBO because I still hadn't gotten check-in instructions. Only then did the host message us, apologizing and saying that they hadn't contacted us because they left their phone charger at work. Other messages we sent about little issues with the houseboat were answered (or not) in an equally casual manner. Other reviews say the host was very responsive, so if subsequent reviews praise their good communication, ignore this review. Everyone is entitled to have a bad week occasionally.The kitchen was quirky. The fridge was propped up on blocks and tipped back and forth when you opened it. As far as I could tell, there were only three forks and one table knife. The oven was great. There were lots of wine glasses.The houseboat could have used some extra cleaning and maintenance, but if we'd wanted a perfectly sterile room, we would have stayed at the Hilton. The location gets ten stars and our stay was magical.

Amazing Location !

We have been to Amsterdam many times over the past 30 years and this was one of the best visits to date. This perfect cozy & quit neighborhood spot is close and convenient to everything you need and walkable to most everything you will want to see and experience. Within a few blocks you will find several small pubs, groceries, cheese shops, cafe and coffee shops, bike rental, boat tours and more.We enjoyed just sitting in the pilot house watching the tour boats pass by and the activity on the bridge. We put our adult kids up in a local hotel, they could see the boat from their rooms, and used the boat as a base of operations and it was the best decision we made.We look forward to returning in the summer.

Coole Erfahrung mit kleinen Abstrichen

Das Hausboot an sich ist wunderschön und zentral gelegen. Man kann alles fußläufig super erreichen. In einem Hausboot zu übernachten war eine tolle Erfahrung. Leider waren die Oberflächen und das Geschirr teilweise noch dreckig/klebrig. Die Sauberkeit insgesamt könnte besser sein. Außerdem haben während unserem Aufenthalt nur zwei der vier Herdplatten funktioniert, Ofen und Kaffeemaschine gingen gar nicht.

An Amazing Experience

This was definitely out of our comfort zone at first…then we loved it. You are quite close to a bustling area, but it feels incredibly private as well. You can walk straight out into the Jordaan district, but it’s quiet at night like you are in the county. We say in the wheelhouse drinking wine and watching the world go by. There’s loads of room and everything you need. A great and pretty unique experience.

Fairytale of a stay

Simply amazing. I was hesitant at first because the listing had no reviews. Jesse reached out right away and let me know he was not a robot and that I'd be having a great stay. And he was absolutely correct. Wonderful wonderful neighborhood, lots of privacy from the sidewalk and a great view of the Brouwersgracht canal. So many little surprises around every corner, it was just so magical to explore this neighborhood. Can't recommend this enough.
