En lugn plats att komma undan, på tre hektar skogsmark, med allt du vill ha. Nära till stan med en vacker bergsjö bara några minuter bort. Vandring, fiske, jakt, turné, tågturer, eller bara luta dig tillbaka och njut av trädens skönhet, vilda djur och koppla av i ett lugnt hem hemifrån. Med alla köksredskap, sängkläder, handdukar, underhållning måste du göra din vistelse till en trevlig lugn semester. Titta på 3D-TV, vila i bekväma sängar, lounge på däcken, grilla dina favorit kött, bara vara dig själv i ett hem du kan betrakta din egen. 10 minuter från staden så att du kan äta bra mat, gå på bio, besöka en gammal västra stad med massor av historia. Handla tills du släpper eller tar dig på Durango Silverton Railroad-tåget och ser härliga sevärdheter till den stora gruvstaden Silverton där du hittar bra mat och shopping. Loved everything about this property... great location, clean and well appointed, private & dog friendly!...We took advantage of the grill and had dinner almost every night on the deck. When we got back from our hikes, we'd have beer and snacks on the porch! So relaxing!

Amazing experience!

My friend and I both enjoyed our stay at this cute quiet spot! The stars were so beautiful to see at night and the house had all the cozy vibes. The hosts were very friendly, kind, and communicative and made sure our stay was comfortable. We will definitely be coming back!

Out of the way and close to everything!

My wife and I and our kids (11 & 8) had a great stay! Our hosts greeted us on arrival and gave us a tour and walkthrough, and checked in on us via text several times during our stay. Excellent location that’s just a short drive from Lake Nighthorse and 15min from downtown Durango. Our kids loved exploring and hanging out in the little shady spot that had hammocks, chair swing and a picnic table. It was abnormally hot during our stay so we had to run the window unit AC units in the evenings, but unlike many CO houses we were fortunate they had them!

Accommodated 4 adults, 2 children very well. Property very clean and well supplied. Hosts were great; caring, attentive, available, but not intrusive.

Eddie & Deborah were there to greet us and take us through the cabin and show us everything. The kitchen was really well equipped, with everything you could need. There was a laundry room, and every bedroom had a big closet you could use. The bathrooms were nice. The wi-fi was a little slow, but that is just how it is in that area. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the hummingbirds. I never saw a porch swing with cup holders before. Access to the cabin was on a gravel road, but it was in good shape. The location was ideal for the things we had planned to do, and it was very quiet. Eddie & Deborah are quick to respond if you have a problem or question.

Family ski trip

Our stay was just perfect. We have a larger family with four children, and the house was a perfect size. We felt that it was a great distance to the town, easy drive to Mesa Verde and purgatory. Everything was fully stocked for me to cook for my family and it was wonderful. My little girls especially loved the 3-D TV. What a treat for them. Thank you so much!!!

Fun in Durango CO

Excellent property and awesome hosts. They made the check in process so easy with a tour of the property. Very good at communicating and making sure we had everything we needed. The property had a very positive vibe and the bear theme was great! Peaceful and so quiet. Would definetly stay here again!

Awesome Girl's Trip

We felt right at home at Byrket's Hideaway. We were on a girl's trip for the weekend in Durango and this location was great because it was out of the city but only 10 minutes away from town. The house was homey and comfortable. The kitchen was incredibly stocked with everything you could possibly think of. It was a great stay!

Private and Relaxing

Our stay at Byrket's Hideaway was exactly what we needed to relax and recharge. Absolutely adorable and lovely private place to stay. The hosts were fabulous and sweet. They had chips, salsa and candy as a treat for us. The hideaway was well stocked and perfect. ssstockeperfecthad everything we needed.

Excellent Hosts

Fast Eddie and Slow Deborah had a wonderful, secluded property and were also attentive hosts. They showed us around, were happy to suggest things to do to improve our time in town, and made sure we had everything we needed. We would stay here again without question!

We were both born and raised in Phx , Az and moved here to Durango in 1982. I have my own automotive Body and Paint shop at my home, Fast Eddie's AutoWorks, for over 30 years. We like people and want to share our rental home with others so they can see and experience this wonderful beautiful place we live.
