Top villa in lovely French town

Week towards end of August was spent lazing by and in the pool or jacuzzi followed by BBQs in the evening. Rooms were perfect and all amenities close by. The only slight issue was the very steep drive from the entrance up to the villa but everything else was perfect.

Excellent!

Second time here and was not disappointed. Jean Marc and Sandrine are wonderful hosts. The house was still as perfect as a year ago and has all you need to enjoy your stay in the Dordogne. I doubt you’ll find a better place to stay locally. Don’t delay book it!

Fabulous

Great property, great location and great hosts. It is a beautiful part of France. The town Is lovely with lots of lovely villages close by to visit. My boys canoed on the Dordogne and hired bicycles. Many an afternoon and early evening spent in the pool. The property offers everything you need. I have stayed here twice now and would return in a heartbeat.

What a beautiful villa. Built around the pool and decking with enough space for 6 adults and a child to have their own space Sarlat is an easy 15 minute stroll away, with it's shops, restaurants and markets. Just be aware the driveway to the villa is very steep. We had a ball and would definitely return if we come back to the area . and shops. A large

Luxury propert in a great location

We enjoyed staying in this luxurious property set on ahill with outstanding views over the valley. It was equipped with modern appliances, air conditioning and a heated swimming pool that was enjoyed by all. The owners were available if anything was needed and were very hospitable. We would recommend this propert for a relaxing holiday.

Perfect vacation property in a very nice town

Vacation home kept in excellent condition! Everything was exactly as stated and the property has a lot of luxury amenities which made our stay absolutely enjoyable and relaxing. The location of the house is perfect with both the beautiful and cozy town very close as well as very good shopping opportunities within a very short walking distance. We can only highly recommend both the house and the location for everybody interested in a relaxing holiday n beautiful France. This is definitely not our last visit to this house.

Lovely villa on the edge of Sarlat

Outstanding rental villa on the edge of Sarlat (5-10 minute walk to the town centre). House is spotlessly clean and furnished to a very high standard. Three double bedrooms and one twin, all good sizes with lots of storage and air-conditioned. Communal areas also airconditioned which is nice. Heated pool is beautiful with views over the valley and countryside. Very well equipped. Nice outdoor area for outside dining - gas fired BBQ also a bonus. The owners live nearby and are friendly and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend this villa.

Wonderful Holiday!

Words can’t really sum up what a fantastic villa this is. Every last detail has been thought about, from the initial design around the pool down to the smallest thing you need on a holiday. The villa is built around the pool,with bedrooms on either side and the open plan kitchen/lounge at the end. All the appliances are very high end with lots of high tech controls. The villa overlooks the valley at the top of Sarlat and is an easy 12/15 min walk into town. Sarlat is a lovely small town, very medieval; with lots of shops. The region also has lots to do, most things less than a 20/30 min drive. We had a fantastic week here and if you book this place you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend!!

Stunning property with an amazing view

Loved everything about this beautiful home! This was our first ever visit to France and what a way to stay. The home is outstanding and gorgeous with loads of space, everything is to a high standard, a bathroom with every bedroom, all items you need to cook is supplied in the kitchen, great BBQ, and our favourite parts were the infinity pool and jacuzzi where the view is perfect! Even in the evening we would sit with a glass of wine outside with the lights on looking at the views. The walk into the local town was very nice about 15min tops, the walk up to the property has a steep drive so that is something to bare in mind on the walk back, and we visited other places which were amazing and only 20mind drive. Jean-Marc and his wife were truly welcoming and the wine was lovely we went back to the shop a few times for a top up, there were st hand for any questions and recommendations so thank you both for making our first stay perfect! We loved every minute and look forward to returning in the future.

Our family of 5 (parents with 3 teenagers aged 19, 17 and 15) enjoyed a week at this wonderful property. It was close enough to Sarlat for us to walk in whenever we chose (be warned of the steep incline of the drive which would make this unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues) but also within easy driving distance of lots of beautiful attractions. The villa itself is immaculately maintained with everything you could need for a family holiday. Each teenager had their own double room and family sized bathroom. Kitchen was high-spec with separate laundry room and there was lots of indoor living space. There was air-con throughout with individual controls for each room. The pool, hot tub and terrace have lovely views of the countryside with plenty of opportunies for reading in the shade or catching the sun. Our hosts were warm and welcoming, greeting us on arrival to show us around the property. Sarlat itself is a vibrant medieval town with stunning architecture and a perfect blend of independent shops and restaurants to suit all ages.

Book it now - you will not be disappointed!

We are return visitors to the region and Sarlat in June is divine. This was our first visit to this property and it will not be our last. The location is perfect. The property looks over some really lovely green scenery and we were greeted by birdsong every morning and evening. It is within a ten minute walk to the centre of Sarlat and if you need a supermarket Carrfour is a one minute drive, three minute walk. The house itself is amazing. All the rooms are ensuite and really well appointed and the L shape means that every room looks out onto the pool and deck. The open plan kitchen/living area really plays into the design too. Every morning we breakfasted outside and it was glorious. Again, the kitchen had all mod cons, plenty of crockery and all in all there is nothing I can find to say that is negative. There is also a "laundry" with everything you could need - pegs, iron, airer etc etc and a second fridge. The whole group were delighted with our stay and were nothing short of comatose at times it was so relaxing. Thank you Jean-Marc and Sandrine for designing an amazing property which gave us an fantastic base for our holiday! A bientot!

Wat een fantastisch huis!

We verbleven hier met 2 koppels (volwassenen en kinderen tussen 14 en 18 jaar). We zijn zeer goed en gastvrij ontvangen door Jean-Marc en zijn vrouw Het huis heeft losse kamers die elk een "hotel" beleving hebben; mooi ruim met eigen badkamer en voorzien van een rolluik. Het huis heeft een prima uitgeruste keuken van alle gemak voorzien. De zit kamer hebben we niet eens gebruikt. Bij mooi weer is het verwarmde zwembad heerlijk! Vanuit het zwembad heb je vrij zicht in de vallei. Ook de jacuzzi is een waar feest zo groot (5 persoons) zie je ze zelden. De villa ligt op een mooi privé terrein. In de omgeving is veel te beleven; kastelen, wandelen, kanoën en diverse marktjes. Je loopt op 10 minuten vanaf het huis naar het centrum van Sarlat. Dit dorpje is een echte parel.

Villa très agréable et correspondant à l annonce . Situation proche de sarlat centre , facile a pieds . La maison est très bien équipée avec des matériaux et un électroménager de qualité . Une maison exceptionnelle !!

Nous avons passé de fantastiques vacances dans cette magnifique maison au prestation haut de gamme en terme d’équipement ( la literie par exemple ) . La maison est idéalement placée à mois de 10 minutes à pieds du centre de Sarlat, avec pourtant une sensation d’être isolé de tous. La vue de la terrasse est magnifique. piscine et spa sont un vrai plus . Un immense merci à nos hôtes pour leur accueil et leur gentillesse

Fantastisch!!

Woning is zoals op de foto's, mooie nette verzorgde woning veel privacy. Uitzicht vanuit de woonkamer is mooi. Eigenaar is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam waardoor de communicatie zeer gemakkelijk ging in engels en frans. Centrum Sarlat Le Canéda is op loop afstand (15min) evenals de supermarkt. Aandachtspunt is dat de borg contant betaald moet worden bij aankomst. Winkel van de eigenaar in het centrum is ook de moeite waard om te bezoeken!

Fin Avril de l'an 2023 de la période anthropocène

7 sapiens ont cherché et trouvé, en fouillant un peu, ce magnifique site sur les hauteurs de Sarlat, capitale du Périgord noir. Ils y ont découverts les grottes de Lascaux, le gouffre de Padirac, la cité religieuse de Rocamadour, les châteaux de Castelnaud et de Beynac. Ils se sont restaurés de produits du terroir de cette dernière ère. Merci à nos hôtes, pour leur accueil chaleureux, pour nous avoir reçu dans cette magnifique demeure très bien pensée (nous étions 7!) et très bonne continuation à eux.
