AMAZING!

The property is absolutely beautiful! It’s well laid out, accommodated six adults easily, and was of course, close to everything. It was only enhanced by the beautiful weather we had. Our host was genuine and kind. No complaints whatsoever. Property was very clean and just what we were after. We will definitely come again!

Once again Kris’s cottage provided a comfortable base of operations in OC. It was clean as a whistle and she is the opposite of Nick Saban in the VRBO ad

Cozy Comfy Christmas Get-A-Way

Don’t hesitate to book!! We enjoyed our stay here so much! Well equipped with so many extras that are not normally provided with a VRBO. The bedding was so comfortable!! My mother-in-law who stayed with us is on a mission to buy those bed pillows. Totally top notch! I could go on and on about the many things that made this place the best VBRO we have ever stayed at. I will share the two negatives- Balboa Island is difficult to get on and off of after 3:30 PM during the Christmas week and the water pressure for the showers wasn’t great. This should no way overshadow all the pluses. I would definitely stay here again! Garage was spacious. We had a mini van and it fit in perfectly with extra room. Also, just to share that the bunk room over the garage was perfect for our adult children. So much privacy for them and us.

Coral Cottage sets the standard for 5 stars

This was not our first stay at Coral Cottage and it hasn’t changed. It still has that newly renovated beach cottage feel with all the accessories that made us feel right at home. There is so much thought put into the preparation for each guest and we truly appreciated the effort.

This property is our favorite of all VRBO’s we have rented. It is conveniently located, clean as a whistle, a layout perfect for entertaining, and a cozy living room complete with TV, fireplace and two comfortable couches for lounging.

This was probably our favorite short-term rental that we've enjoyed. Kristin was very communicative and was so accommodating of our requests. The property itself lacks absolutely nothing and was just stunning. The impeccable attention to detail was very much appreciated. If your family is ever in need of a just perfect stay in Orange County, I would not hesitate a moment to book this property.

Corral Cottage - A hidden gem

This was our second summer staying at the Corral Cottage, and once again, it exceeded our expectations. Kristin has created an immaculate, organized, and beautiful home that truly feels like a getaway haven. The attention to detail is impeccable, from the thoughtfully arranged spaces to the spotless cleanliness throughout the entire property. It’s clear that Kristin takes great pride in maintaining the cottage, making it a comfortable and serene place to relax. We love the charming dĂ©cor and how everything is laid out so thoughtfully. Top notch vacation rental on Balboa Island!

All members of our party (all adults age in our 60's and 70's) loved staying the Coral Cottage. It is beautifully furnished and well-equipped. We had everything we needed or wanted. The decor is homey without being personal. To make the stay even more perfect our suggestions are to have bedside tables and lamps on both sides of the beds and to have a window covering over the Dutch door window in the upstairs apartment. These are minor issues and only mentioned because the hosts obviously go to great efforts to meet all of their guests' needs. Don't hesitate on this one!

This is our third stay at this perfect gem on Balboa. It is so beautifully organized with every amenity you could think of, great location, immaculately kept, and great decor. The loft over the garage is such a great room I almost wanted to camp out up there for a night. Really a great stay!

Our stay at the charming Coral Ave Cottage was fantastic. The house and loft are so well decorated and well stocked, modernized, spotless and clearly well maintained. All of the amenities are premium and many unexpected items like pots and pans, spices, coffee, tea and sweeteners, storage are included, Every potential need is thought about and handled. The host is wonderfully communicative and we had the best time. Cannot say enough good things! We would love to come back!

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

I’ve always loved the simpler times. This home makes me feel good, like I stepped into the past. Of course, it’s fully equipped with all the modern technology of today.
Our goal was to try and make our guests feel the charm back when this home was built. Built in 1938, with all the precious details. We restored the original hardware and fixtures. We even decorated the home with photographs that were taken during 1940’s Balboa. Our place has style and class. It’s cozy and comfortable. Not to mention, all our linens and beds are luxury, 5 star. We thought of every detail so you can really enjoy your stay and feel like you’re on vacation. Welcome to Coral Cottage - Balboa Island’s cottage by the sea
