Beautiful Beach in a Not-So Perfect Rental

This clean rental is on beautiful beach. The condo needs a few fixes. Would have liked a folder with info on operating instructions and info on the community as far as restaurants and attractions and shopping, etc. Be prepared to buy your own to and such. Not much is provided there. We had to buy batteries for the remote for the TV. The TV cut in and out. The frig needs replaced. Despite issues, we enjoyed our stay and figured out the community on our own. We had a lovely time and made many good memories.

Parking was our only issue. Resolved a few days after arriving. Sofa bed could use an update, but overall great week and lovely condo! Great ocean views!

HOA pain

When we arrived no one was in the office, no one answered the phone, and discovered there was a $50 hidden parking fee that had to be paid in cash. Received text message telling me to use an envelope, there were none, to pay and when they did not deliver them when they said. While we were on the beach they put a note on my car and threatened to tow if i didn’t pay. The courtesy of a call or text was not extended despite their being the cause of the problem. Feel certain they are pocketing the cash as a tax free bonus. The office was closed the entire time we were there so if you need something, I’m sure they’ll text you.

Relaxing

The photos of the property were spot on. You get what you pay for. The walk to the beach was short and the balcony was relaxing. The vibe was great and you are close to anything that you need. The washer and dryer was a huge plus. After long days out the movie options on the TV were great. I enjoyed the balcony immensely. I will stay here again.

Very Cute

Perfect for 2! The condo was decorated very nicely. The sleeper sofa creaked as you sat on it and got off. Might not try and sleep on it. The AC unit was next to the King bed and was loud cutting on/off. Other that that the place exceeded my acceptations. Great view from 2nd floor patio.

Great get away

Condo was just as described, with easy beach front access. The area was conveniently located near everything we needed with out being over commercialized. The condo was very clean, well supplied and April was available to help with any questions. We really enjoyed the beautiful relaxing view from the balcony and would definitely return.

Great condo on the beach!

When we arrived everything was clean, check-in was very easy, had a great time with a great view will definitely asked for this condo again. The only thing it needed was a pan to fry eggs, but I understand that things probably disappear when you rent a condo and dish towels, only had washcloths, But all and all I would give it an A+ rating. We had a wonderful time!

Great location

The location is fantastic. I loved being right on the beach and being able to sit on the balcony looking at the ocean. The bathroom sink and tub did not drain well. The bathroom was incredibly dark too, especially when in the shower. The washing machine kept giving an error, DR, and after doing some research it appears to be a drain problem too. The bed is very firm. The air unit is in the bedroom and very loud when it is running. Could be a great unit with some maintenance done.

Nice location, not so nice place...

This might sound like a small thing but the parking spots (which were an additional $20) are so tiny that if you are parked in one, with other people parked on each side you will not be able to get your doors open enough to get anything out, including your kids. Upon arriving with little to no information on the unit, I had to ask one of the other tenants (who miraculously was in the unit right next to ours) how to get into my room. She said I should have received a code to the lock on the front door (which was in an email with very little description). Once we got in, we noticed a couple of damages that we wanted to make sure got notated, so I messaged the owners through the app with no response. We also noticed a couple of areas that looked like they had not been cleaned in quite some time (I took pics but not sure if I am going to be able to upload them). The coffee table had a ton of dust on the lower level as well as several spots on the wall had visible dust. This was the least of my worries though because that night as we were preparing the pull out couch/bed for my 6 and 4 year olds the filth on the mattress was too much. It looked like urine spots/stains as well as mold was potentially growing on the mattress (again pics were taken). We decided to make a pallet bed out of the sofa cushions. We also noticed after the first flush of the bedroom toilet, that it would not flush properly, leaving us with just the single bathroom in the hall (not a huge deal but still not ideal). Overall we still had a great time as the location was amazing and for the most part the place was quiet during the evening. The beach was very nice and tons of nice people met throughout the stay, but if I am being honest my family would most likely look elsewhere for our next trip to the area.

Very Clean Condo - Beautiful ocean-front view!

This property met our family's needs for our spring break vacation, and we had a wonderful time. It was very clean, the view of the ocean was absolutely beautiful, and the beach area was very family-friendly! It was also very helpful to have extra table ware/utensils/small appliances available for use - we appreciated that. We did overlook ensuring the outdoor pool would be heated - and it was frigid (nearly unusable) during our stay. The indoor pool area also wasn't as clean as we would have hoped, and also wasn't very warm - but our kids didn't seem to mind/notice. The owners were experiencing a family emergency upon our arrival/stay - which effected communication/information about our being able to check in, and we never did get a response about getting the code for the indoor pool access (but after calling the security number left for contact, as well as the property office - with no answers, we ended up asking another guest/resident, who helped us be able to access it). We anticipate that our experience with (minor) communication challenges would be something future guests would not experience. The accommodations and experience at the beach far outweighed the small glitches, and we would be happy to have the opportunity to stay here again.

Great get away for our family

It’s right on the beach. We could have used a large skillet. Only small ones available in the condo. The sleeper sofa mattress could be replaced. My kids slept on the couch and air mattress. We could have used a second set of towels. You only get 4 very small ones. Only minor concerns but the owner allowed us to extend our trip another night and we were grateful.

Beach front vista the best

This property worked well for our 5 day stay in Orange Beach: on the beach with gorgeous views sometimes with pods of dolphins in the distance. The space itself was perfect for 2 persons. The dark bedroom at the back of the condo was serviceable as a place to sleep but too cave-like to be a place to hang out. The mattress is ending it’s usable life and every movement ripples across the bed. We needed the heat on most of the time but seemed to blow cold air when it got down to 40 outside. Kitchen is well stocked and clean. Nice table for dining inside as well as balcony seating. Can’t report on outside pool because weather was too cold to use (unheated) but there is a very small indoor pool which was unfortunately overrun by children most of the time we were there. If I could make an easy decor update suggestion: remove that wall- sized mirror in the living room and the bedroom! Unless you’re 25 and gorgeous, always confronting your own reflection may not enduce relaxation!

It was perfect for a short getaway!

It was perfect for our short getaway with just my husband our grown daughter and myself. There were a few things that could have improved this stay. Check in time of 4 is extremely late! We come to Orange Beach often and check in is normally 3 and if the room is ready before you are permitted to check in early. There was also no linens for the sleeper bed. The A/C unit is in the bedroom right next to the master bed. It was so loud when it would kick on. This needs to be insulated somehow. Over all I would stay here again!
