Great house and location!! He had a great time and had plenty of room for 12 adults and a baby! Pool was an excellent bonus, just wish there were more lounge chairs by the pool. Wonderfully located right across the street from the beach and right at the convenient crosswalk. Great time. We hope to be back very soon!! Thanks for sharing your house

Sea Urchins South

Sea Urchins South lived up to our expectations. Our family crew turned out to be a bit smaller than originally planned due to work complications in Seattle so the eleven of us had plenty of room and the location was great. The only "complaints" I overheard during the week were issues beyond your control - unless you have some insider information on jellyfish control. We'll keep Bama Beach Houses on our radar for future travels. Thank you!

Perfect beach rental and rental company

We had a fabulous time!! Sea Urchins South, in my husband and I's opinion, was perfect! Fabulous layout plan, perfect corner location, enough parking for us. Spectacular view. Bama Beach Houses was wonderful, and our go to person Haleigh was so helpful and went over and above. Everything we wanted in a rental!!! [đŸ€— Wow! Thanks Lisa. Family Vacation

Perfect house for a family of 14 with 6 small children. Proximity of ocean was great and it was awesome to have a pool right there. Enjoyed it so much we are coming back next year.

It was a wonderful family vacation!

There is not much to say at all in the negative but here are some positives that my family expressed to me over the course of the week: 1)location was great. Easy access to the beach. 2)The home is huge and easily accommodated our family of 8. 3)The overall condition of the home was very good. 4)We enjoyed having all the kitchen necessities including two refrigerators was great. 5)we loved the private pool. 6)Having enough bathrooms for everyone was terrific. 7)Good storage 8)We liked to at all the bedrooms each had access to the balcony. 9)We loved the each of the larger bedrooms had king beds. 10)The balcony space above the pool is fantastic. 11)The homes lighting is natural and bright. 12)Having a shower and hose under the home is very useful. 13)Plenty of parking for so many cars with room to spare. 14)Having a partial view of the gulf was great. 15)The AC is great 16)The variety of outdoor seating is amazing.

Great for our family get-away

This property is in a great location. Not too far from restaurants/stores but not right on top of them. And it’s right across from the beach access so it really is just as good as beach front for less $$$. The pool is worth its weight in gold. While we were there there was a red flag one day and purple flags all week so having a pool as backup when the water was too rough or there were too many jellies was amazing. Important to note however; I wouldn’t count on the pull-out sofa as one of your beds because that sofa is old and squeaky (it was really the only thing that needed replaced) and just wasn’t comfortable enough for any of my kids to sleep on for a week so we shuffled around and made it work. Overall I would stay here again because this house was perfect for our family!

Family vacation

95% positive, one big negative. The house was great, the private pool was great, and the entrance to the public beach was right across the street. A market was located a block or so away, and grocery and drug stores were just a couple of miles away on 59 or a little farther in Orange Beach. Parking can be an issue. Sand and gravel run from the pool down into the street making it unclear where the property ends and the public line begins and cars pull in up to the pool wall almost every day leaving their cars there for hours. One of our cars was blocked in under the house for hours, and when I called bama beach houses for help, they said there was nothing they could do. Something as simple as parking curbs, landscape fencing, and proper signage would go a long way toward fixing this problem. I loved the house, hated the parking issue.

Loved Sea Urchins

Stayed in the south side of Sea Urchins. Great place to stay with a large group. It's right across from the beach and is in a convenient location. We would love to return to this house again! Bama Beach Houses was very easy to work with, helpful and informative!

About our stay.

Everything was good until we had a cockroach come out of the love seat. You could use some lights on the fans above the dining room tables. The toilet upstairs toward the gulf would not always shut off. We loved the place.

Absolutely LOVE Sea Urchins South!

We absolutely LOVE Sea Urchins South! Don't think we can swing it next year... Hopefully, in 2025! We had 3 families from Texas + 2 from WV = 15 of us. Plenty of room, everything worked, love the pool and great access to beach. Looks like the unit has been updated/painted/etc. since we were there last year. Much appreciated! Stairs were shiny, everything was clean - kudos to the cleaning crew!

Amazing!

The house was absolutely amazing! One of the best vacation homes we have stayed in. The view of the ocean/walk to beach is top notch when you aren't staying by oceanfront. We really felt like we were ocean front. Really we had no complaints!

Awesome as usual

It was awesome as usual apart from the house not have been cleaned when we arrived. I called the contact number and it was taken care of within an hour or so. The house is beautiful and my family has been staying there almost every year since it's been built. We were the second family to ever rent it and I'm sure we'll be back. đŸ»

Everything was WONDERFUL and we can't say enough about how great your house was to stay in! We had one small issue with the pool not working right, but I texted the number that texted me the entry code and they came out the next day, were very nice and quick and took care of everything! We loved this area so much that we would actually like to book again for next year through you but we will need a bigger place as we are bringing more of the family 😬. Again, thanks for everything, we all had the best time!

My wife's family have traveled to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach Alabama for decades. I became a tag along in the late 1990s, so a Gulf Shores guy by marriage. One thing led to another and we ended up a several large, family-friendly, large group friendly, places along the Gulf.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Sometimes you want to be RIGHT at the beach, but not pay for being right ON the beach. Sea Urchins is the perfect balance. It is located in the middle of West Beach Blvd. It is directly across West Beach from the beach -- check out the aerial and pool shots -- and it has a private pool for each side of the duplex. Yet... it is thousands less per week than an equivalent home right across the street. Have some of those too, if that's your preference, but if you want to save some dough while staying in a great place, Sea Urchins is a perfect fit!

Oh, and its only a couple blocks west of Waves Grocery, Ice Cream, Seafood, and the Beach House Kitchen and Cocktails. Easy for an evening stroll, or a midday ice cream or beverage run!
